After the fight they gathered all the corpses of the dead wolves in front of them. "Where are the cores?" Kamari asked while looking at Naomi and Blake. "I don't know. But if i would take a guess it would be somewhere in the middle of it. Let's each take one of the wolves and start looking." Naomi said and dragged one of the corpses out from the pile. Vexx used one of Blake's blades to cut into it. When they cut it open blood spread everywhere and Everyone was grossed out except for Vexx.
Vexx eventually looked up when he felt everyone's eyes looking at his emotionless expression. "What is it?" Vexx asked while continuing cutting the meat in small pieces. "How are you not faced when cutting it up like that and seeing all of the organs?" Blake asked and found the crystal inside his wolf.
Vexx looked around him and saw that everybody except Sky, who was on guard duty looked at the pieces of meat at his side. "Ohh... I learned to fillet animals at a job I worked at for about two weeks to gather some money for tuition."
"That's great. Now we don't need to worry about finding good food." Kamari said. Vexx nodded and took some big leaves from a big bush and wrapped up the meat he had gathered. He then put it into the bag with their equipment.
Eventually Vexx, Naomi and Kamari also found their pieces of crystal. The crystal was really small. The crystal would grow in size depending on how close the beast was at ranking up to the next grade. The smaller ones were around the shape of an eye while the bigger ones could be the size of a head.
After everyone had found their crystals they continued walking. They decided that they would find a river to set camp by. Everyone was okay except for Blake who had gotten surprised when attacked by the Wolf but he would be fine with some rest as the claws couldn't go too deep before he teleported.
When they were done the sun was already setting which was surprising as they had only been there for around 4 hours. The time should be around lunch so they sat down and took some sticks to make a fireplace.
When the fireplace was set up Vexx took out the meat from the bag and started cooking it over the fire. The smell was very eminent and Vexx worried that it would catch the attention of some beasts. After eating everyone was ready to continue their walk as they needed to find a good place to set up camp at.
After an hour of walking it had become really dark. Vexx looked at the darkness and realized that it was nothing compared to the Dark Tyrants domain. As they continued to walk Vexx opened his stat screen as he had too much to do before so he couldn't check it out but now as they were walking he had time to look at the changes.

'Darkcore is new'. It says that my core is in the basic tier. And that I have absorbed 1/100 Darkness which I assume is killing beasts and taking their darkness.' Vexx wondered if the core was like the core crystals that beasts would have and only one thought came to his mind. 'Am I a beast or something else?'
After the realization Vexx tried to calm down by looking at his Race and looked at the word human that was still in it. Vexx had just closed his screen as he heard something from the bush. This time there were 6 beasts. The Beast's eyes glowed red in the darkness. He could hear the growling from the beasts as they slowly walked closer to them.
When the beast was just 15 meters away Vexx could smell something rotten from the wolves and the meat in his bag. 'Why does it smell so bad?' Vexx wondered as he looked around to see where the smell could come from.
Vexx looked at the wolves a second time and saw that they were slightly light blue greenish in color and they looked leaner and more agile than before. 'Are they rotting?' Vexx wondered and looked at the others who were ready for fighting. "Hey... I think they are dead," Vexx said in a low voice, feeling the tension in the air.
"What are you saying? They are clearly standing right infront of us" Sky said with a loud voice not caring that the wolves were standing in front of them. "I know but they smell like they are rotting," Vexx said. Vexx had lived on the streets for a long time and had smelt rotting food and people all the time which was why he was confident that they were dead.
Kamari looked at Vexx and asked with a shaky voice. "D-Do you think they can be zombies?" Vexx looked at Kamari and became confused "What is a Zombie?" Vexx asked, still looking at the dead wolves in front of him. "They are like walking corpses." Kamari answered and hoped the answer would be a no.
"I don't really know about the zombie thing but they are certainly walking corpses." Vexx said. Naomi, who had watched the wolves closely, jumped in in their conversation. "So is there a way to kill the dead?" She asked with little of hope in her voice. Kamari looked at them and shook his head. No one saw him shaking his head but they took the silence as a no.
Vexx looked at the wolves who stood still about 10 meters away from them observing them closely. "So what do we do Naomi?" Sky asked wondering if they would run or try to figure out a way to beat them. "I Don't think we have much of a choice." Naomi said and saw how the six wolves started to surround them while constantly staring at them with their red glowing eyes.
