Chapter 213 - Chapter 212: Embarrassing Incident

Peroroncino and Momonga had battled countless times before and were well aware of each other's abilities.

Peroroncino immediately recognized that the spell just now was one of Momonga's frequently used defensive spells.

"Magic Arrow!" Mare cast a spell, and the magic arrow shot towards Bukubukuchagama, but she caught it bare-handed and crushed it effortlessly.

Peroroncino calmly analyzed the situation.

The strange figures before him were clearly powerful, yet they hadn't launched a single counterattack.

Normally, when attacked, retaliation was common sense.

But these figures completely defied that logic.

"I'll have to probe them further!"

"Meteor Arrow Rain!" Peroroncino shot an arrow into the sky.

The single arrow split into countless smaller arrows, raining down on the group below.

"Attack Attraction!" Bukubukuchagama activated her skill, drawing all the arrows toward herself.

With her incredible defensive power, she withstood the attack without sustaining even a scratch.

"Peroroncino! If you have a problem with me, come at me directly! Bukubukuchagama is your older sister!"

"Wait! Something seems off with my little brother!" Bukubukuchagama also sensed that something was wrong with Peroroncino.

Mare prepared to cast another attack spell but was stopped by Peroroncino.

"Mare, what do you see in front of you? What do these figures look like?"

"They look like several ferocious beastmen."

"Beastmen?"

"Yes, Lord Peroroncino!"

Momonga and the others clearly heard their conversation.

However, what Peroroncino saw were grotesque stitched monstrosities, resembling a fusion of plants and animals.

"Mare, can you describe the monster in the middle?"

"The one in the middle has sharp claws, fangs, and two horns. Also..."

Peroroncino carefully observed the figures in front of him but saw no fangs or horns.

"There's only one explanation—we're being deceived by our senses!"

"But Lord Peroroncino, you look completely normal to me!" Mare asked in confusion.

"That's because neither of us has left the other's line of sight." Peroroncino hypothesized.

"Let's conduct an experiment. Mare, no matter what happens, stand still and do not attack anyone."

"Understood, Lord Peroroncino!"

"Now, Mare, close your eyes for five seconds, then look at me again!"

Mare followed Peroroncino's instructions and closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, Peroroncino was no longer in front of him.

Instead, he saw a massive bear-like creature.

Startled, Mare nervously took a few steps back.

Peroroncino looked at Mare's behavior and asked, "Mare, it's me, Peroroncino. Can you hear me?"

However, in Mare's eyes, the massive bear in front of him let out an angry roar, the resulting shockwave blowing his clothes.

Mare instinctively reached for his weapon, ready to counterattack, but he remembered Peroroncino's earlier instructions and stopped himself, remaining rooted in place.

Seeing Mare's expression, Peroroncino realized the truth—Mare couldn't recognize him.

Peroroncino then turned his gaze to the group nearby, connecting the dots.

Momonga and the others should logically be here as well. These figures must be them.

"I think I'm poisoned—I can't recognize any of you!" Peroroncino shouted to the group.

Hearing this, Momonga let out a sigh of relief.

For a moment, he had thought Peroroncino was displeased with him and intended to teach him a lesson.

Thankfully, it was just a misunderstanding.

Peroroncino began recounting his experience, speculating that the root cause of their predicament was those butterflies.

"Oh right! Aura went after one of those butterflies! As for which direction… I can't seem to remember clearly anymore!"

He continued to ramble, but he couldn't hear anything the others were saying in response.

Suddenly, Peroroncino had an idea: If he killed Mare and then resurrected him, the poison and confusion would likely be dispelled.

This was an extreme measure, and under normal circumstances, Peroroncino would never consider it.

However, the poison was affecting his reasoning, and his thoughts had turned increasingly erratic.

But when he turned his gaze back to Mare, Mare was gone.

Due to his timid nature, Mare had been slowly shuffling backward with his eyes closed.

With his poisoned senses thrown into disarray, Mare had unintentionally wandered farther and farther away from Peroroncino.

Peroroncino walked a few steps forward, looking for Mare, but instead, he spotted a comical-looking elf.

Without hesitation, Peroroncino assumed the dwarf was Mare and grabbed the dwarf by the neck.

The poor creature stopped struggling after a brief moment.

Peroroncino then took out a Perfect Resurrection Jade.

From a distance, Momonga and the others watched as Peroroncino waved a jade over a rock, muttering, "Resurrect!"

"Could it be that my posture is wrong?" Peroroncino's poisoned mind was in complete chaos, and he couldn't think straight anymore.

He raised the jade high above his head and shouted with great determination, "Resurrect, my elf!"

Momonga couldn't bear to watch anymore. "Bukubukuchagama, are we really going to keep watching this unfold?"

Meanwhile, Mare had also begun losing his grip on reality.

"I'm a big mushroom! Lord Bukubukuchagama, come eat me! Hehehe!" Mare giggled in a way that could only be described as unsettling.

Bukubukuchagama had initially been amused by Peroroncino's antics, but after seeing Mare's increasingly bizarre behavior, she couldn't hold back her concern anymore.

Mare was spiraling in a… questionable direction.

"Lord Bukubukuchagama feet smell so nice! Hehehe! The taste is amazing!"

Mare was now licking… a rock.

At that point, Bukubukuchagama's face froze, her expression a mixture of embarrassment and horror.

The absurdity of the situation had reached critical levels.

"Origin Magic! Chains of God!" Bukubukuchagama cast a powerful spell, and two glowing chains shot out, binding Peroroncino and Mare tightly.

As an additional precaution, Bukubukuchagama gagged Mare, fearing he might say even more bizarre things.

Mare's character design was originally based on Peroroncino's childhood self—a reflection of his innocence and purity.

But how exactly did Peroroncino end up becoming… this way?

The answer might lie with Bukubukuchagama.

Bukubukuchagama's first job as a voice actress was dubbing for eroge (erotic games).

To excel at her role, she had purchased and studied numerous eroge titles for reference.

However, these materials were eventually discovered by a curious and impressionable Peroroncino during his formative years.

Driven by curiosity, Peroroncino opened those games and… let's just say he embarked on a path of no return.

Over time, Peroroncino fully embraced his eccentric personality, while Mare became a representation of Peroroncino's lost innocence.

Moreover, Mare had spent considerable time under Peroroncino's influence, and during their adventures together, he had inevitably been "educated" on some… questionable topics.

Now, with his mind muddled by poison, Mare's thoughts spiraled into chaotic fantasies, blending his innocent nature with the knowledge he had unintentionally absorbed from Peroroncino.

And thus, the absurd scene before them unfolded.
