"Why did you say that?" Thane asked, his brows furrowed, while I was struck with wondering what he was talking about.
"What do you mean? I never said a word."
What is he going on about now? I'd not recovered from the earlier embarrassment, and I just wanted to be left alone.
"You just said that you're ruined, didn't you? Why did you say that?"
My heart skipped a quick beat and my brows arched up in opposite directions. "How'd you know that?!"
Can he also read minds now?
"I heard you say it too." Joanna added softly, playing with her iPad that she had just brought out of her pink backpack.
"What? How so? The damn statement was made in my mind, how come you guys heard it?" I couldn't say that we were outrightly lying since Thane stated what I had actually thought word for word.
