Once the first wave of Abyss Demons were dealt with, everyone quickly moved back to form the lines again.
Only before they could, there were attacks that suddenly rained down on the Abyss Guards that were moving back.
Many of them were able to react in time to guard against these attacks, but there were some that couldn't react in time. There were some that could only take the brunt of these attacks and were injured by them.
These attacks weren't just attacks from normal Abyss Demons.
These were powerful attacks from high grade Abyss Demons.
That was how they had injured these Abyss Guards.
Only it didn't have an overall effect on the battlefield.
It seemed that in the first place, they had sacrificed all of these low grade Abyss Demons just to create this opening.
It really didn't seem like it was an effective move, but that was only in the eyes of the humans.
After all, there was no telling just how many Abyss Demons would be arriving in the end.
