Chapter 389 - Fire vs Water?

Brutaurus let out a thunderous roar.

Its horns glowed with deep-sea pressure energy.

It then slammed its fists into the flooded ground.

"Duelist's Claim."

A glowing sigil marked Inferon, pulsing with energy.

All other targets were ignored.

Then came the second move.

"Hydrocage Arena."

Pillars of spiraling water erupted from the ground.

They encircled Inferon in a dome of rotating aquatic pressure.

The water spun like drills—forming a closed battleground.

Fiona hovered outside the cage, eyes wide.

"It just sealed off the arena! That's—"

Liora cut her off.

"Don't panic. Brutaurus follows ritual combat law."

She looked over at Fiona.

"It only fights one-on-one while the Duelist's Claim is active."

"As long as Inferon holds out—you won't be touched."

Fiona let out a long breath.

"Okay. Okay. That helps."

Without waiting another second.

Liora shot toward the water cage with her jetpack.

She then landed just inside with Inferon.
