Chapter 392 - Chapter 392 Incident Concludes

"Kill you?"

Hearing Simmons words of despair, Shazam and the guardian of the New York Sanctum, Daniel Drumm, exchanged glances.

Neither saw any intent to kill in the other eyes.

Simmons was actually an innocent person.

Shazam was very clear about this in his heart.

Although Daniel was not so sure, during their joint effort against the clown demon, Simmons, filled with demonic aura, did not interfere and had even earned some of his trust.

Furthermore.

From Simmons fierce appearance, Daniel had vaguely guessed the truth, and thus, he felt a bit of sympathy for Simmons, certainly harboring no intent to kill.

"You misunderstand."

Shazam shook his head. "We don't intend to kill you."

"Although you have already died, now you can be considered reborn."

Shazam paused, then added, "Although this may not be the outcome you wanted, in reality, you are now very special."

"Special?"

Simmons looked up, the despair in his eyes slightly alleviated.

Seeing that these two individuals with extraordinary powers did not plan to destroy him, a glimmer of hope surfaced in his heart, along with intense curiosity.

"What exactly is going on?"

He asked, "Sir, you know the truth, right?"

"Simply put, the demon lord of hell thought you were talented and decided to make you his minion. That was the beginning of your tragic life."

Shazam explained, "The clown demon was just a puppet of the demon lord.

As for your enemy, Jason Wynn, he doesn't even qualify as a puppet of the demon lord he was merely a tool chosen by the clown demon to kill you and cause your damnation."

Simmons, in silence, clenched his fists tighter.

"Don't worry."

Shazam continued, "The Justice League has been watching Jason Wynn for a while now.

His actions in the military aren't a secret to us, and we can deal with him anytime. The key issue now is the problem within you."

"You have received the power granted by the demon lord, and unfortunately, you have also regained your human memories."

Shazam said, "The demon lord power is very strong. As the ruler of the hell dimension, he has granted you immortality and special equipment... Therefore, you are very dangerous, both to human society and to the world of the extraordinary."

"I understand."

Simmons was no fool. Having once been an ace agent under Jason Wynn in the military, he was aware of the darker sides of this world.

Of course, the current situation wasn't necessarily dark, it was more of a helpless choice.

Simmons asked, "What should I do?"

Shazam and Daniel exchanged glances again.

"Kamar-Taj is only suitable for magicians."

Daniel spoke up, "Since you know the whole story behind this incident, I believe you must have already thought of a solution."

"Correct."

Shazam nodded, looking at Simmons and feeling quite satisfied with the aura emanating from him.

"Head to Los Angeles. I've prepared a place for you in the Dark Justice League."

With a vigorous wave of his hand, he activated the teleportation bracelet connected to the War Fortress, opening the telepotation device to the coordinates of district 13.

A surge of energy swept in.

The space portal enveloped Simmons, who was kneeling on the ground.

"Go and meet your new companions. From now on, you'll shine as a member of the Dark Justice League."

Simmons vanished abruptly.

The Dark Justice League?

As he disappeared, this thought flashed through his mind, somewhat bewildering.

Although he lacked understanding of the Dark Justice League, he could see that Shazam meant no harm, and he had previously overthought things.

"Congratulations to you then, you've gained a strong ally."

After Simmons was transported away, Daniel instantly understood how Shazam had broken through his Mirror Space.

In a moment of realization, he chuckled: "The Dark Justice League is a great supplement to Earth magical realm. We can definitely collaborate sincerely with Kamar-Taj we'll be natural allies."

"I think so too."

Shazam nodded.

"Then I won't disturb you any further."

Daniel nodded, "If there ever a need, feel free to find me in Manhattan. I think you already know where I live."

"No problem."

Shazam nodded, "If Kamar-Taj ever needs help, I won't overlook it."

With just a few words, the two set up their collaboration.

Then, Daniel drew a circle and left the area.

Shazam glanced at the still unconscious citizens of the neighborhood, saw that there were no casualties, and then soared into the clouds, disappearing as Anton retrieved him.

The sound of sirens echoed.

The New York Police Department special task force arrived belatedly.

Before telepotation Simmons away, Anton, from his home and assuming the identity of Constantine, had already contacted Jackie Chan and others, informing them about the new member joining the Dark Justice League.

At the same time, he briefly described Simmons background, giving Jackie Chan and others a heads-up.

Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider, felt sympathy for Simmons.

In his view, Simmons experience was almost identical to his own.

To be precise, Simmons situation might even be worse.

Johnny at least had a family legacy that led him to become the inheritor of the Spirit of Vengeance, whereas Simmons was purely chosen by the demon lord due to his exceptional abilities.

The former could somehow be justified, but the latter was just too innocent.

Meanwhile.

Inside the headquarters of district 13.

Members of the Dark Justice League, partly assembled.

Johnny and a few members of the Dragon team looked at Simmons, who appeared monstrous, as if he had crawled out of hell.

They were somewhat shocked, but their eyes did not show fear or aversion, instead, they felt pity for him.

"Hello."

Jackie Chan smiled, "From now on, we're colleagues."

Simmons stared blankly at the people in front of him, listening to their voices, silent and speechless.

A few minutes later.

From what Jackie Chan and the others told him, he learned what kind of organization the Dark Justice League was, and his heart suddenly calmed down.

He suddenly felt that staying here might not be so bad.

The spawn incident was temporarily concluded.

After dealing with the clown demon, Anton instructed the Men in Black to handle Jason Wynn.

Since spawn, Al Simmons, had already appeared, Jason Wynn, as the villain of the story, had lost his usefulness as bait.

In other words, Jason Wynn, who had no utility value as a villain, had no reason to live it was better to have him dead.

That night.

The Men in Black field agents took action, escorting Jason Wynn to prison.

Subsequently, at a military tribunal, the Men in Black presented Jason Wynn criminal record and evidence.

With overwhelming evidence, Jason Wynn was secretly executed.

The news quickly reached Simmons in Los Angeles, in the headquarters of district 13, causing him, who was training, to momentarily lose focus.

Soon.

He completely severed his past.

"Hey."

A crisp voice rang out as a young Chinese girl walked over with an air of arrogance, unapologetically patting him on the waist and speaking with dissatisfaction,

"You can't get distracted during training, you still haven't fully mastered the use of the armor and cape."

She paused, then chuckled, "If you're tired, why not lend me the cape to play with?"

"I'll tell you, I am the Shadow Queen... a mere little cape, I can instantly create new tricks with it!"

jade looked at Simmons expectantly.

Simmons couldn't help but chuckle.

The daily life in Los Angeles, far removed from Anton in New York.

Having resolved the two anomalies mentioned by the Ancient One, Hell Baron and spawn, Anton finally had some downtime.

"Hey, Anu, you can already walk..."

Anton watched his adopted son, Anu Ramo, the Hell Baron, grow and found raising a child quite interesting.

Especially since this adopted child was actually a hybrid of human and demon.

Anu had given him many surprises.

He grew at a pace similar to humans, but his intelligence was exceptionally high.

Although he was not even a year old, he could already speak many words, and his eyes showed increasing perceptiveness.

Throughout this period, even though Anu was not Anton biological son but an adopted one, the old man and John fondness for Anu grew stronger.

They started playing with him as soon as they got home and even hired several nannies specifically to take care of Anu.

That day.

The old man and John finished work at the same time and came home to play with Anu for a while before turning to Anton.

"Stark Industries has been making moves again recently, Anton, what do you think?" the old man asked.

"You mean Ultron?"

Anton suddenly realized.

Although he had been relaxed recently, it didn't mean he was unaware of the outside world.

As the behind-the-scenes controller of the Daily Bugle and also a member of the Justice League, Eddie often communicated with him.

Eddie was quite concerned about Stark Industries.

Before Tony stepped back from Ultron, and Ultron, as an AI butler, took over a huge market worldwide, Anton had discussed with Eddie the potential dangers Ultron might bring.

Eddie agreed.

He knew Anton judgments were rarely wrong, and could even say they had never been wrong so far.

So if Anton thought there was a problem with Ultron, there definitely was one.

Recently.

Tony had ended his exhausting negotiations with the White House and the military and returned to Stark Industries, taking back control of the company from his girlfriend, or rather fiancée, Pepper Potts.

He resumed his position as chairman and initiated sweeping reforms at Stark Industries.

Nowadays, Stark Industries has reduced its investment in the energy sector and expanded its competition in the artificial intelligence market.

Ultron already dominates this market, and with this move, Stark Industries has become an invincible presence. Ultron is unstoppable, annihilating any obstacle in its path.

According to statistics from Wayne Enterprises and various media outlets, the number of users utilizing Ultron is doubling every month.

Ultron is changing the world.

Stark Industries stock prices are soaring, and although Tony Stark has been subjected to severe online backlash, his notoriety, amidst these events, is approaching that of the universally recognized Batman.

Eddie continues to monitor the situation, his anxiety growing.

Unlike others, with Anton warnings, he views Ultron rapid expansion with indescribable anxiety.

If Ultron were ever to lose control, human civilization could potentially be destroyed instantly.

Even if not instantly destroyed, it would at least be set back by decades.

"The underground lab is currently decrypting Ultron networking mechanism, there no need to panic yet. For now, it seems that Tony is still in control of Ultron…"

Anton remained relatively calm.

Tony presence has always been a double-edged sword.

Fortunately, Anton was prepared.

As long as they could crack Ultron networking mechanism, Ultron would not be able to cause any significant upheaval.

Suddenly, a loud bang brought him back to reality.

Including the old man and John, everyone expression changed slightly as they looked towards the source of the noise.

To their astonishment, it was Anu who had made the noise.

At that moment.

Anu was lying on the floor, having kicked a small hole in the door, just big enough for his little body to pass through…

Seemingly noticing the three sets of eyes on him, Anu looked up and let out a cheerful laugh.

"Giggle giggle!"

"'Giggle'?"

Anton was speechless: "Giggle your head!"

He could already imagine how the two beside him would question him.

"This…"

The old man was dumbstruck: "Anu kicked a hole through the door?"

"Shit!"

John, Anton stepfather, instantly looked at Anton: "Anton, tell me, what going on? How can Anu have such strength? Is he a natural-born superhuman?"

Now, as a top executive at Wayne Enterprises and having a son who is the spokesperson for Batman and an official member of the Justice League, John had some understanding of superhumans.

The door was made of high-quality material, and not even an adult could easily make a hole in it, let alone an infant under one year old.

After hearing John question, the old man also turned his gaze.

"Uh…"

Anton, seeing both their scrutinizing looks, resignedly waved his hands and revealed part of the truth: "Anu is only half human."

Only half human?

Then the other half isn't human?!

The old man and John exchanged glances.

Although Anton had only said that one sentence, it was enough to shock them.

The truth was clear.

After exchanging looks, they finally understood why Anton had brought Anu home as an adopted son.

Would an official member of the Justice League really bring home a normal child?

They had actually overlooked this issue until now.

"So that it."

The old man suddenly realized: "No wonder Anu never gets sick, and why you never allowed me to have a private doctor examine him…"

"If Anu is only half human, then what is he, human or…"

John suddenly grew concerned and asked Anton: "Will he turn into… something else in the future?"

"He lucky."

Anton stated frankly: "Since he being raised by me, he will definitely be human in the future."
