Chapter 298 - The Two-Star Super Dragon Ball

"Alright, now this cube spaceship can travel to other universes."

Inside the cube spaceship, Merus, dressed in angel attire, tapped the controller of the spaceship with his staff, granting it the ability to traverse across universes.

Afterward, Merus's clothing transformed back into his previous Galactic Patrol uniform, and the staff that only angels wield disappeared.

It seemed that Merus wasn't particularly fond of his angel form. Even though it granted him immense power, it also subjected him to the stricter rules of the angel clan.

Now, as a Galactic Patrol officer, although he still couldn't freely interfere with the development of the universe, he could at least apprehend criminals without the stringent restrictions imposed on angels.

At the end of the Moro arc in *Dragon Ball Super*, Merus was reborn as a human, abandoning his identity as an angel—perhaps that was the outcome he truly desired.

"By the way, Merus, do you want to come along?"

Zuke, who was ready to set off to collect the Super Dragon Balls, suddenly thought of something and turned to Merus, inviting him to join. Given the speed of the cube spaceship, collecting the seven Super Dragon Balls across two universes would still take some time. And with the expansion of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, this travel time would be further extended.

Zuke planned to use this time for training, but training alone would obviously not be as effective as training with Merus.

On one hand, as an angel, Merus possessed the ability of Ultra Instinct, which would allow Zuke to gradually familiarize himself with the power and evasion techniques of Ultra Instinct during their training.

This could be seen from Son Goku's situation—having trained with Whis for a long time, Goku essentially received foundational training in Ultra Instinct, enabling him to grasp it at critical moments.

On the other hand, Merus could also push Zuke to the brink of death, allowing him to continue leveraging the Saiyan's near-death power boost.

Although *Dragon Ball Super* imposed a limit on this near-death power boost—once the body's power was fully developed, it could no longer be enhanced—Zuke was still far from reaching that limit.

At least until he reached a level where he could defeat Frieza, he wouldn't have to worry about the near-death boost becoming ineffective.

Although Zuke initially viewed the people in the mission world as NPCs, he held Merus, the apprentice angel who had helped him a lot, in high regard.

"I'd love to join you... but unfortunately, I still have my Galactic Patrol duties."

However, Merus shook his head—while he had high hopes for Zuke and believed that defeating Frieza was a good thing, he was still a Galactic Patrol officer.

Among the Galactic Patrol, whose average combat power was inferior to that of adult Saiyans, Merus was essentially their only standout. Many difficult tasks required his personal attention.

The process of collecting the Super Dragon Balls would likely take a few days, and during that time, who knew what dangers the Galactic Patrol might encounter.

Previously, when Merus trained with Zuke near the Galactic Patrol headquarters, he could rush back in case of an emergency. But if he left with Zuke, he wouldn't be able to return in time to provide support.

Seeing Zuke's apparent disappointment, Merus thought for a moment and added:

"How about... I find a Galactic Patrol officer to accompany you?"

"That's not necessary."

Hearing this suggestion, Zuke's mouth twitched—it wasn't that he looked down on the Galactic Patrol officers, but their strength was indeed lacking.

They couldn't even match a normal adult Saiyan, so what could they do by joining him? They wouldn't even be useful as sparring partners, and Zuke would have to worry about accidentally killing them.

It seemed he would have to go alone in the end. Although training alone wouldn't be as effective as having Merus as a sparring partner, it would still yield some results.

Once the Saiyan situation was resolved, Zuke could use the large scanner left by the Frieza Force on Planet Vegeta to measure his current combat power.

Although Zuke was certain that his combat power had already far exceeded 1 million, the exact number was still unknown.

He was itching to find out, but he would have to wait until he fully mastered the Saiyan potential.

...

"Tsk, hasn't Dabura returned yet..."

On a seemingly ordinary planet, Babidi sat in front of a massive white spaceship, frowning with a displeased expression.

Around him were several large, muscular demon beasts, each with a stylized "M" symbol on their foreheads.

This was Babidi's magical mark. Any creature branded with this symbol fell under his magical control.

Babidi's magic could exploit the evil in a creature's heart to control its mind, turning it into his subordinate—this applied not only to highly intelligent beings but also to low-intelligence demon beasts.

These demon beasts were native to the planet, and while their combat power wasn't high, they were more than enough to protect Babidi for the time being.

Normally, Babidi wouldn't need to control these demon beasts for protection—he already had an invincible subordinate under his control.

That was Dabura, the Demon King!

Dabura's strength was so great that even the Emperor of the Universe, Frieza, couldn't match him. Babidi had been relying on Dabura to collect energy from beings across the universe.

This energy would then be used to revive Majin Buu, the being who once made the entire universe tremble in fear!

However, after arriving on this planet, Babidi encountered a bit of trouble—they were attacked by members of the Frieza Force upon landing.

Babidi initially didn't want to conflict with the Frieza Force, but they had detected his spaceship and launched an attack.

As a result, Babidi was forced to land on the planet and sent Dabura to deal with the Frieza Force members.

Babidi had been waiting for a while, but Dabura hadn't returned yet, so he temporarily controlled a few demon beasts as bodyguards to avoid being killed by them.

After all, Babidi's own strength was weak, and his magic was his only real asset.

"And what is that strange glowing sphere..."

While watching one of the demon beasts gnaw on tree bark, Babidi looked up at the sky of the planet.

In one direction, there was a peculiar planet.

Although the surface of this planet was partially covered in rocks, the exposed areas were smooth and emitted a blinding golden light.

At the center of this "planet," two red stars were prominently displayed, adding to its mysterious aura.
