We had already crossed the line a lot of times. No matter how much I wanted to remain in his arms, I had to put a stop to this.
I had to make sure I will not enter his bed which is exactly why I had to make sure the kiss stayed right here in the sitting room. I knew we could not have more, but I still longed for it. It reminded of how good Lucien and I had been together, and I hated how much I missed it right now.
