"You were saying?" He asked, as his eyes trailed from her eyes down to her lips.
"Uhmmm," she swallowed hard, completely at loss of words.
"I'll help you— Chloe. You were asking about her."
Angel's eyes snapped, and her mouth began to move again. "Where is she? Where did you hide her?" She asked.
"Keep going. I like the way it bounces when you speak with so much passion," he said.
It took Angel a couple of seconds, but she finally realized what he was talking about, her face fell to hide the blush that blossomed all over her cheeks.
"There's no Chloe anywhere," he continued, pretending he wasn't aware of his effect on her. "Why do you even think she's here?"
"Because the princess said you two left the dining room together," she said under her breath.
He smiled. "Is she monitoring me on your behalf?"
"Heck no!" She lifted her head, but instantly regretted it, when she saw his face was so close, they might as well be kissing.
"Then what is this?" He asked patiently.
