In the days that followed, Raine finally experienced what it was like being powerless. If she had known, she wouldn't have let emotions control her at all but be rational. At least, she would have found a better way to deal with Briar instead of the one she picked.
Because of the confession she made, she was brought to the court very fast. She didn't know that people could be convicted that quickly.
With all the evidence laid out bare in front of the judge, including how Raine shamelessly forged crimes against Briar and the matter of the deceased, Moses was even brought up. The prosecution came very much prepared, and Raine was literally shocked at how fast everything was moving.
She didn't know how all those recordings ended up being proved to be fake but seeing the evidence being laid bare in the open, and how Tiana's DNA results even came out positive which wasn't what she saw last time, she knew that she was doomed to get a bad result.
