Shika didn't even realise what happened before a giant claw rushed at him, cutting almost hitting him and dividing him into two.
If it was anyone else, then they wouldn't have been able to dodge this sudden attack, but Shika was fortunate that he had his Rinnegan Abilities.
He was very cautious the moment he entered in this strange and unknown dangerous place.
It didn't help that he still had no replacement for his lack of sensing capabilities. He could sense, most shinobi could sense chakra but not from far away. And this world doesn't even have chakra so that was a pointless thing to ask for anyway.
When he sneak attacked, he wasn't able to react at all, he was completely in his blindfold, and neither his divine dog give him a head's up at that speed nor his Shadow Clone, which was usually dormant in his shadow, had the time to launch a replacement to replace their place to protect Shika.
However, even after that Shika was able to dodge the sneak attack, all becuase he was prepared, his safety net had its safety net.
That is what it means to be a Nara in the first place. Shika used his Rinnegan, of course, he didn't have the time to activate it and use temporal revine, for that at least he should know that an attack might come. Basically, he can only use it in a conflict situation with Rinnegan always active, the problem with that is that it costs too much chakra to keep Rinnegan always active, he was no Nagato in this regard.
So how did he save himself ? Simple…
A Binding Vow.
Since none of his other safety features works, a binding vow with Rinnegan activates making him only when he is in a life-and-death situation.
An automatic Temporal revine activates at the cost of losing his Rinnegan powers for an entire 24 hours.
Small price to pay to save his life honestly.
Of course, this is the final safety net, he wouldn't want a situation like this to happen period. A single-hit kill where even his Reverse Curse Technique doesn't have time to hill him before he dies, yeah it's bad as hell.
Shika planned out this move only for this kind of situation.
"Huff… HUffff. Hufff…." Shika had only a few seconds as his Rinnegan's Temporal Revine ability kicked in and he could dodge away from the deadly attack.
Sealing his Rinnegan for the next 24 hours and leaving him panting at the sudden life-and-death situation.
As long as an attack is actually dodgeable, this works really good, if not this worked when dealing with Mahoraga and Deidara nuking himself...Sigh.
"Fuck…" he can't help but curse seeing how his Rinnegan went back to his normal eyes, indicating that it was a one-hit kill attack and if not for his binding vow he would have been dead by now.
"Don't come near Yuta…" Came a heavy monstrous voice from the monster in front of him.
Shika currently was shaken by what the monster said, and he quickly made his distance from the monstrous-looking creature in front of him.
"Fuck Fuck… that was close." Shika gulped still on guard, trying to calm himself down.
Usually, he isn't this jumpy but this place made him tense. He made some distance from the monster and the boy and took deep breaths to calm himself down.
And as he did calm down, his mind started to work once again. He didn't hear what the boy or that monster said earlier, but by the average look of the monster in front of him, he could recognize it.
"Of course, so Ten Shadow and Curse Energy wasn't just a lottery or a coincidence because I'm a Nara. The system already set me up to come here at this point." Shika muttered as he saw the boy on the side still shaking and yet still muttering, pleading the monster, or his curse spirit to stop.
Shika also realized why this energy he was feeling was so similar, it was curse energy. He have only use it himself and couldn't tell the difference between it and Chakra and perhaps that why he didn't recognise it at first.
"Rika stop, don't hurt him. You, get out of here quick." Said the boy with dark eye bags under his eyes.
'Get out… but how? When your dead Girlfriends cursed spirit which you cursed by the way is standing in front of me with those fags out. I don't even have my Rinnegan to use to open a portal…' Shika gritted his teeth.
'Out of all the curse spirit I could have encountered, it has to be her…. Rika Orimoto. The queen of curses and probably the strongest curse spirit outside Sukuna.'
"Listen, I don't wanna fight. It will be good for both of us if we stop this fight here…" Shika said, though the possibility of diplomacy to work was low but he rather not fight if there was an option of peace at the table.
He was wrong.

Rika roared and rushed at Shika, the speed was blazing fast, this was easily a Jonin-level speed. And though Shika was in many ways as strong or even stronger than a Jonin but that when his hax's were involved, his physical speed still lacked of a true Jonin. Though was close, he used to compensate for this with his Sharingan but he no longer had those eyes. Once again he wasn't able to dodge the attack, he wasn't fast enough even after seeing the attack coming, he could only try to block it. Right now he was missing his Sharingan the most, it was excellent at predicting enemies' attacks.
So he got ready by enforcing himself with Curse Energy but that was when his shadow moved and the Divine Dog came out. This was the totality form of the Divine dog, and grab Shika before dodging the attack.
Everything happened so fast that Shika wasn't able to react, though part of the reason was that the distance between Rika and Shika was almost negligible.
"Thanks…" Shika quickly thanked his dog before clapping his hands, a jet of water came out from the tips of his hands going directly at Rika and it hurt her on the arm.
"Gwaaa.." Rika shouted, though the convergence didn't pierce Rika, her hard body was too much for Shika's Convergence but it hurt her and pushed her back…
The boy on the side saw this and his mind stopped working for a few seconds, what he just saw?
"Alright, Don't tell me later that I didn't warn," Shika said as he saw Rika was ready to attack again while the Divine Dog Totality behind him getting tense, ready to fight but even the dog knew that he was no match to this Curse Spirit, but even then to save Shika he was ready to fight.
If this was any other time in his current situation, with no Sharingan or Rinnegan and being chased by Curse Rika, Shika would have been freaking out by now. However, now he had a trump card of his own. A trump card which he can actually control and use anytime as long as he has chakra.
Thankfully, his reserves have grown to the point that he doesn't have to use a chakra refill scroll to do this.
"With this treasure I summon…" He quickly took a familiar hand sign and skipped the bloody titles, part becuase he now didn't have to after contracting Mahoraga and part becuase he was about to shit his pants if another claw attack comes at him while he was in the process of summoning a Shikigami.
He was just one name away from summoning the absolute bug of JJK world when the door of the classroom was swung open in an instant and someone came right in front of him.
This someone was tall, at least in comparison to Shika who was still a few months shy of turning 15.
"Kakashi..no." On instinct, he saw the man Shika but he quickly saw who really was in front of him, and his eyes were shot open.
"Geez another one, I thought other clans got problems but Zenin…" The man said with a half-mocking tone as he briefly glanced at the Divine Dog Totality.
"Rika Stop…" The boy stammered again, he didn't want more people to die due to him. Trying to stop Rika but once again it was useless. He was helpless he did the next best thing he could do.
"You two, run, get out of there…" Shouted the boy.
However, neither Shika nor that other man moved. They remained there without moving and after a second shifted their attention back to Rika.
"What are you doing, run, get out of here, or else…" The boy once more shouted, he didn't want more people dying, not becuase of him so he shouted again.
"Man you are so tense, don't worry, It will be fine." Said replied the man with a confident smile on his face.
"But… but.." The boy was getting too worked up now, he was breathing heavily and had a hard time talking and yet he was shouting to save both Shika and that other man and neither moved.
With his white hair fluttering even after having no wind source in the class. His eye mask concealing his glasses, the man spoke again with confidence.
"Don't worry…
I'm the STRONGEST…."
