Chapter 188 - Chapter 188

Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan hid in a dark corner, unable to sleep. Tonight, he had insomnia. Feeling restless, he wanted to find someone to chat with, but Ghost Douluo Gui Mei was already fast asleep.

Unable to fall asleep, Yue Guan got up and, as he admired the moonlight outside, he suddenly noticed a dark shadow. To his surprise, it was none other than Pope Bibi Dong.

Curious, he quietly followed her and was shocked to discover that Bibi Dong had gone to Ye Feng's room. Now, as he peeked at the scene before him, Yue Guan was utterly stunned.

That was the Pope's hand.

Ye Feng was actually holding the hand of Spirit Hall's Pope.

Bibi Dong: "..."

Bibi Dong was also taken aback. The happiness came too suddenly, catching her off guard.

"No."

Bibi Dong's face flushed as she answered Ye Feng.

Having a child. Being old. Old!

These were the insecurities Bibi Dong couldn't erase from her heart. Sometimes, she felt like an old cow eating tender grass.

"What about now?" Ye Feng smiled, stretched out his other hand, and held both of Bibi Dong's hands. "Do you feel a little younger?"

Bibi Dong was stunned. Even though they were in love, she found her heart still beating wildly. Her eyes grew misty, and she softly replied, "Just a little."

"Just a little?" Ye Feng teased.

"Yeah. Just a little." Bibi Dong nodded shyly.

"Really just a little?" Ye Feng pressed with a smirk.

"Really just a little," Bibi Dong repeated, her heart pounding like a deer caught in headlights. She was silently waiting—hoping—for Ye Feng to make a bolder move.

Suddenly, Ye Feng let go of her hands, stepped forward, and pulled Bibi Dong into his arms. He hugged her tightly, as if he wanted to fuse her into his very being.

Bibi Dong: "..."

She was stunned once again. When she finally came to her senses, her face was adorned with a radiant smile.

Even though she had only met Ye Feng a few times, she was no longer a shy, young girl. She was a mature woman who no longer needed the tedious steps of romance—she simply needed to determine if the man before her was right for her.

So, she did not resist Ye Feng's bold move. Instead, she stretched out her arms and hugged him back with joy.

After more than ten seconds, Ye Feng's voice gently sounded in her ear.

"What about now? Do you feel younger?" he asked softly.

"Just a little bit short," Bibi Dong replied playfully.

Uh!

Ye Feng was stunned by her response.

"Just a little bit short?"

It was clear now that Ye Feng didn't care about Bibi Dong's age or the fact that she had a child. He liked her. He was willing to grow old with her.

But even after all that, she still said it was just a little bit short.

Ye Feng held one of Bibi Dong's hands, and she said she didn't feel younger. He held both of her hands, and she said she only felt a little younger. Then, they hugged intimately like a couple, yet she still said it was just a little short.

Just a little bit short?

At this point, it was no longer about whether she felt young—it was about that "little bit."

But which "little bit" was she talking about?

What could Ye Feng do to erase Bibi Dong's feelings of inferiority and make her feel truly young again?

Why did her "little bit" suddenly feel like an infinite gap?

Ye Feng was momentarily dumbfounded.

After a brief pause, he gently released Bibi Dong. He gazed at her delicate red lips and slowly, ever so slowly, leaned in closer.

Huh~

This entire scene was witnessed by Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan.

His eyes widened in shock, and he was instantly petrified on the spot.

"They... they... they..." Yue Guan stammered, unable to find the words to describe what he was seeing.

For a long time, he stood there, stunned.

His Pope—the revered Bibi Dong—had actually fallen in love with a teenager.

This was truly an old cow eating tender grass!

Yue Guan was deeply moved.

But since this involved the Pope's privacy, he didn't linger. With a swift thought, he vanished, giving Ye Feng and Bibi Dong their private space.

---

A few minutes later, Ye Feng slowly let go of Bibi Dong.

Bibi Dong smiled brightly—something she hadn't done in over twenty years.

Ever since the horrible incident with Qian Xunji, she had never felt this happy.

Bibi Dong clung to Ye Feng's arm, her face still flushed with joy, as they strolled leisurely through the streets of Spirit Hall.

Ye Feng, recalling the upcoming competition and sensing the hidden pain in Bibi Dong's heart, suddenly thought of something.

"Dong'er, who do you think will be the champion of this competition?" he asked.

Bibi Dong sensed that Ye Feng was leading into something.

The only two teams with a real shot at the championship were Shrek Academy and Spirit Hall Academy.

She glanced at him and asked, "What are you trying to say?"

"Dong'er, how about we make a bet?" Ye Feng suggested with a sly grin.

"A bet? On what?" Bibi Dong's interest was piqued.

"If we win the championship this year, you have to agree to one condition of mine," Ye Feng said seriously.

"What condition?" Bibi Dong asked curiously.

Ye Feng grinned mischievously. "I'll tell you once we win the championship."

"Alright. What if you lose?" Bibi Dong asked with a teasing smile.

"If I lose, you can set the condition," Ye Feng replied without hesitation.

Bibi Dong's eyes gleamed with mischief. "If you lose, you'll join Spirit Hall."

"Deal," Ye Feng answered without flinching.

"It's a deal," Bibi Dong declared with a playful smirk.

Ye Feng nodded, then glanced at the sky.

"Dong'er, it's getting late. You should head back," he said softly.

"Yeah." Bibi Dong nodded reluctantly. "Then… goodnight."

"Goodnight," Ye Feng smiled warmly.

The two said their goodnights, but Bibi Dong lingered, making no move to leave.

"Anything else?" Ye Feng asked, confused.

"Didn't you ask me if I felt younger?" Bibi Dong asked, her eyes glimmering.

"Yeah… yes." Ye Feng nodded, slightly puzzled.

If he wanted Bibi Dong to feel younger, he had to make her feel desired—make her feel that she was still attractive and irresistible.

"It's just..." Bibi Dong lowered her head, hesitating.

"Just what?" Ye Feng asked gently.

"It's just that… I still feel that it's just a little bit short," Bibi Dong replied softly, her cheeks flushed.

"Ah?" Ye Feng blinked, staring at her in a daze.

Bibi Dong smiled brightly, her eyes filled with tenderness and mischief.

Ye Feng had no idea what "little bit" she was referring to. What exactly was he missing?

As a ripple of spatial energy flashed, Bibi Dong vanished into the night.

"It's just a little bit short!" Ye Feng murmured, shaking his head with a wry smile.

He cursed himself inwardly.

Clearly, he hadn't been bold enough.

A man who wasn't a little daring wouldn't capture a woman's heart.

The timid starve, while the bold feast.

Ye Feng made a vow.

The next time he was alone with Bibi Dong, if the situation allowed, he would be more courageous.

He would make sure Bibi Dong truly felt young again.
