Chapter 187 - Chapter 187

"361 points."

Ye Feng was stunned. This time, he actually received so many rewards—more than 300 distributable attribute points all at once.

"Huo Wu, are you okay?" Ye Feng asked with concern.

"Nothing. What could happen?" Huo Wu smiled happily. She glanced at Ye Feng, who was sitting opposite her, and added, "This time, their action was aimed at Tang San. What could possibly happen to me?"

"Yeah." Huo Wushuang echoed, "Those guys from Spirit Hall were only after Tang San. Once the battle started, none of them came for us. They were all focused on Tang San."

"Really?" Ye Feng asked in surprise.

"Yeah." Huo Wu nodded.

Ye Feng thought for a moment. Could it be that Bibi Dong had deliberately spared Huo Wu and the others for his sake?

"Then, you didn't help Tang San either?" Ye Feng asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Do you really want us to help?" Huo Wu countered.

"No."

"Exactly. Our Blazing Academy only formed a temporary alliance with Tang San and Dai Mubai. There's no need to risk our lives for them."

"That's right."

"Besides, those two betrayed Shrek Academy. I know you must hate them, so I have even less reason to help them."

"So, you didn't help them because of me. Is that right?"

"Of course." Huo Wu glared at Ye Feng. She paused, then added, "But now that I think about it, I kind of regret letting them join Blazing Academy in the first place."

"Ye Feng," Huo Wushuang interrupted, "My sister's heart is with you. You have to treat her well. Don't bully her, you hear me?"

"Of course." Ye Feng smiled.

"Brother!" Huo Wu blushed at her brother's bluntness. She lowered her voice and muttered shyly, "I haven't even agreed to be his girlfriend yet."

"That's only a matter of time." Huo Wushuang smirked.

"Brother!" Huo Wu called out, exasperated.

"I know, I know. I won't say anything more."

Huo Wushuang turned to Ye Feng, paused, and asked, "Ye Feng, I've heard some rumors about His Highness the Crown Prince. Some people say you've been hiding something. It's not good for you to stay silent."

"I didn't know anything in the first place," Ye Feng replied without hesitation.

He was certain that Qian Renxue would never reveal her true identity to anyone. Doing so would ruin her cover and harm her reputation. This secret would remain between Qian Renxue and Ye Feng.

---

Ten days later, the Heaven Dou Empire's convoy arrived at Spirit Hall. On both sides of the street where the convoy passed, many people gritted their teeth in frustration—their assassination attempt had failed.

There were now less than three days left before the competition. Shrek Academy boasted three Spirit Kings, while the rest of their members were all at the Spirit Master level, around the fortieth rank. Among the opposing teams, only Spirit Hall Academy was capable of stopping Shrek from winning the championship.

---

It was a quiet night.

As Ye Feng was preparing to sleep, he sensed someone near the windowsill.

"Is someone there?"

He glanced over and, sure enough, spotted a figure—a woman.

"You're not sleeping?" the woman spoke, her voice as clear and pleasant as a silver bell.

The woman was no ordinary person—it was Bibi Dong, the Pope of Spirit Hall. With her influence, obtaining information about Ye Feng's room was child's play.

"When did you get here?" Ye Feng asked.

"Just now," Bibi Dong replied.

"What are you doing here?"

"I don't know." Bibi Dong's eyes were distant. "Ever since I knew the Heaven Dou Empire's convoy had arrived, my heart hasn't stopped racing. Especially at night… I feel restless. I just wanted someone to talk to. Don't you think that's strange?"

Ye Feng was speechless. Bibi Dong had come all the way here just to chat with him.

It wasn't entirely her fault. Because of the system, Bibi Dong's long-standing infatuation with Yu Xiaogang had been transferred entirely to Ye Feng. Unlike her previous affection, this newfound love was pure and intense, free from the emotional baggage of the past.

"Come walk with me," Bibi Dong asked softly.

"Alright," Ye Feng agreed.

Bibi Dong leapt gracefully from the windowsill, and Ye Feng followed her.

The two walked side by side along the quiet streets of Spirit Hall. The late hour meant the streets were nearly deserted. If anyone had seen the Pope of Spirit Hall casually strolling around, it would have caused a massive stir.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" Ye Feng broke the silence.

"Should I?" Bibi Dong glanced at him, her tone unsure.

She was conflicted. She couldn't understand why she was so drawn to Ye Feng. She barely knew him, yet she found herself falling in love with him deeply.

Bibi Dong had always been a proud and commanding woman, but in front of Ye Feng, she felt vulnerable. She had a strong impulse to take Ye Feng into her arms and skip the pretense of courtship altogether. Yet, she hesitated, afraid that Ye Feng would think she was easy or cheap.

Despite her hesitation, there was one thing she was certain of: she had fallen for Ye Feng.

"Qian Renxue is back," Ye Feng said suddenly.

"Yeah." Bibi Dong's response was faint and disinterested.

"You're not angry with me?" Ye Feng asked.

"Why should I be angry?" Bibi Dong asked in return. She paused, furrowed her brows, and added, "Can we not talk about her?"

"Why?" Ye Feng asked curiously.

"Because when you mention her, it reminds me that I'm old… and that I have a child."

Bibi Dong frowned slightly, unsure if Ye Feng would mind that she was already a mother. She stared at him intently, searching his face for any sign of disdain.

Ye Feng was momentarily stunned but quickly understood the meaning behind her words.

He looked at Bibi Dong's rare expression of vulnerability, reached out, and gently held her hand.

He asked with a smile, "Now, do you feel younger?"
