Chapter 118 - The End to an Ordeal

"The joke's on you!"~Shaco, The Demon Jester (Loreless)

IMPORTANT: This is where I discuss some things. We have seen Kayle and Morgana beat Aatrox in the cinematic. And we also know that Aatrox has killed ********(I've hidden this for those who have no understanding of the lore.). So does that mean that ******** is weaker than those two?

No. This might be because of the existence of Petricite.

The only other thing I can imagine is Kayle's ascension is infinite and Morgana is able to do something similar.

CHANGES: Pale Lady has been changed to Veiled Lady as it refers to a different character.

I am also setting up a lot of future interactions in this chapter(Lore and World building) AND I have addressed what happens to Gregori's clothing in the transformation( I made up some shit).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The dark haired lady looked at her captive, "I have missed you sister." Her voice carried a hint of longing.

"THE DARKIN MUST FACE JUSTICE!" The Aspect said as she glowed once again in her constraints.

CLINK

CRUNCH

The rapidly increasing magic was suddenly cut off as the dark haired woman closed her fist. The flying Aspect fell to the ground.

"MORGANA!" The fallen Aspect yelled. "FREE ME!"

The dark haired lady, Morgana, turned to Gregori. "I suppose you can turn back?" She asked ignoring her struggling sister.

"What about her?" Gregori asked as he pointed to her sister.

"She won't be a bother after you return to your natural state." Morgana said nonchalantly. "As long as the Darkin energy is gone... her reason to attack you goes with it."

Gregori looked at her in contemplation, "Are you the Veiled Lady?"

Morgana raised a hand to her mouth, covering it as she gave a soft laugh. "I have been called many names in my time alive." She maintained eye contact with Gregori, "And yes... I have been called the Veiled Lady a few times."

"Drop the questionnaire idiot this one means us no harm." Caalyx vibrated beside him. "You are running out of blood dumbass or did you forget about the fact that your blood is necessary for the transformation."

Gregori grit his teeth at the comment and then nodded to Morgana.

His body slowly returned to its natural state and with it came a huge rush of exhaustion. His clothes reformed over his body as the armor broke off into dust, his horns receded back into his head. The muscles and bones went back to their previous forms. Dizziness took over as he stumbled but he managed to right himself with the boy in his hands.

His hand flew the the boy's neck, checking for a pulse. He found one. Weak.... but still present. Caalyx had been right.

Gregori placed the boy on the ground gently. Waving his hands, he pulled the weapons near him. "I'll talk to you later Caalyx."

"Waaaiit!" Caalyx exclaimed. "Lets not be rash!"

"What?"

"I wanna hear what the nice Aspect lady has got to say." Caalyx answered. "And then the darkness can have me."

Grunting, Gregori ripped his shirt and wrapped it around the shield. It barely covered the entire thing.

"I MUST PROTECT!" Joraal's words echoed from the confines of the shield.

He walked to the ground where the chained Aspect's attack had landed. Running his finger across the burnt ground, he picked up the soot and started drawing runes on the cloth. Joraal's voice faded away as he completed the runes.

"Maybe next time." Gregori said as he finally sealed the Darkin off.

"Ha HA!" Caalyx let out a shout. "Got you! You do not have enough cloth to wrap me now."

Gregori looked at Caalyx and smiled.

"You must be in utter shock at this moment!" Caalyx continued. "Gregori. You stupid man. You have fallen for my plans yet again!" Caalyx really wanted to rub it in.

Not choosing to reply, Gregori walked to the boy.

"The moron is stunned!" Caalyx was not letting up. "He is shell shocked! YOU ARE SHELL SHOCKED!"

Reaching down, Gregori grabbed the boy's short and tore it off him.

"WAIT!" Caalyx yelled. "Wait wait wait wait... What are you ripping? Your pants? Gregori! Lets discuss this."

The shirt wouldn't be enough but it would cover the grotesque parts of the spear and leave the other spearhead out. It would also successfully silence the spear.

Gregori grabbed Caalyx and wrapped him, slowly and tightly.

"The darkness shall not have me!" Caalyx screamed. "Not yet!"

A chuckle escaped Gregori's tired lips as he drew the runes.

"Noooooo-" And Caalyx was sealed.

Meanwhile, Morgana looked at him with apparent amusement at his actions but it slowly turned to shock as he completed wrapping the two Darkin.

"You have managed to seal them..." She whispered.

Gregori nodded, "This one wants all the Darkin rounded up... before they start a war." Gregori tapped Caalyx as he said the words.

"That one is an ally?" She asked.

"Yes."

The ground rumbled as Galio stood to full height, "I WILL SQUISH YOU!" It roared as it raised its leg.

"Galio stop." Morgana ordered. "This is an ally."

With the command, the movement of the statue stopped. "Ally." It stated.

"Go back to your position." She said.

Galio nodded.

WHOOOOSH

With a flap of his wings, Galio took to the skies.

"Those are some strong wings." Gregori commented. Those wings didn't seem like they could hold its weight but they somehow did.

"Magic." Morgana stated.

Gregori turned to the other Aspect. "What about her?"

"She is still angry." Morgana said. "I'll hold her down until she cools off. We also have a lot to catch up on and if I let her go now, she would just fly off."

"Family troubles?" Gregori asked.

A wistful smile popped up on her face, "Something similar."

She pointed to the boy, "I suggest you get the child to safety."

Gregori nodded and slung the boy over his shoulder and with his magic, levitated the weapons against each other. Tying the edges of the wrapping around each other, he affixed them together. One hand hoisting the boy and the other holding the weapons.

"Thank you." He said as he began to walk in the direction of Galio's flight.

"You saved the child and prevented many deaths. You should be the one getting thanked." She voiced from behind him. "Thank you.... Titan."

Gregori stilled for a moment, before he shook his head with a smile and continued walking forward.

Morgana turned her head back to her sister. "Kayle... There are no enemies for you to fight now." She walked forward to her sister and gently placed a palm on her cheek.

Kayle thrashed against the chains. "You let him escape!" She yelled.

Morgana nodded. "Yes. He wasn't a Darkin but a mortal harnessing the power of one. To not spread evil but for good." She gracefully sat on the ground. "How can one do good with powers meant for destruction sister? What makes that child different?" She turned tot he direction Gregori had walked in. "A mortal with the power to face us and he uses it to save an innocent child."

"A monster is a monster!" She yelled.

Morgana sighed, "Do you view this as purification of mortals? Does the death of our father still mean nothing to you?"

The thrashing stopped.

"No. The Darkin bring about the end. They must be taken down. You know this." Kayle whispered. "You must remember our last battle with one."

"Yes. But this one might just be the one required to stop them." Morgana said. "You did see the shield he had used to block your attack. No mortal weapon could stop that blow. The shield should have melted but it did not." She released a few of the chains. "That shield once housed a Darkin..... but now? It is inert. There is no Darkin inside. That one has managed to do what none of the Aspects have managed to do. Kill a Darkin." She then sighed, "But if you did want to prevent the end.... you would have moved against THATwhich is currently residing in the Demacian forests."

Kayle scoffed, "A suicide mission? That cannot be killed. Not by us."

"Ah yes..." Morgana said. "You would require the Trapped One to move for that and if you release him.... then the first ones he would move against would be all of you."

"..... Yes..." Kale replied begrudgingly. She sighed, "But he still needs to be put down." She said as she turned to face the direction Gregori was in.

"I would advice against that action." A male voice interrupted.

Their heads swiveled in that direction, as a man emerged from behind the trees. "That man, Gregori.... or Titan as you might know him.... He has a noble cause. His goal is similar to mine. And his ally.... the Darkin... he is quite nice. If you would be willing to you can have a conversation with him."

"Old friend..." Kayle spoke. "You support a Darkin?"

"I support an ally with a just cause." The man spoke. "And that is all you need to worry about Kayle." He turned to Morgana. "It is nice to meet you again Morgana but I must take my leave."

Morgana nodded to him and turned to her sister as the man left. "That is two people telling you to stop." Her face had a victorious expression on it as she told her sister.

Kayle looked toward the ground in defeat.

"How has life been treating you sister?" Morgana asked. "I had tried to search for you in Targon but I couldn't find you."

Kayle smiled as she lifted her head, "I was training."

"Alone?" Morgana replied. "That seems unlike you. If memory serves me right.... you never trained alone."

"I wasn't alone." Kayle shook her head. "I was being trained."

Morgana's eyebrows rose in surprise. "You were being trained?" She asked in shock. Her sister wasn't the kind to just let anyone train her.

Kayle smiled at her sister as her helmet faded away in moted of light, "Morgana..... I met our Mother."

Morgana's eyes widened at the revelation.
