After Gofumina left to go look for some "cute goblin girls," the trio was left thinking what was the player behind her really like.
"I bet she's actually a guy like you, pretending to be a cute girl to get attention," Chris said, glancing at Ermelinda.
"E-Eh? I didn't do it for that… I just think that playing as a cute girl is nice… that's all!" Ermelinda said, blushing lightly.
"Uh-huh… Sure, there's definitely no other reason at all." Chris teased him with a cocky smile.
"Maybe that's it, huh? But that's going to be a bit hard to get done; after all, the goblin girls didn't seem interested in other girls; they were all seeking a male husband," said Paul.
"I hope she finds a cute goblin girl that likes other goblin girls! I'm rooting for her!" Ermelinda nodded.
"Wait, can you even date NPCs in this game?" Chris said. "Imagine doing it with an NPC, though… Wait, is that possible?! For a game sold to ages over sixteen?!"
"I-I don't know… Why are you even asking that?" Vlad facepalmed. "Ah, here we are, the walls… Last time I was able to assign them as a building. Yeah, it has levels and all…"
The trio reached the walls surrounding Elderbridge, which Vlad quickly touched with his hands.
At the same time, he began calling forth large quantities of Spiritual Forces from his surroundings using the [Spiritual Ki Farmer Agricultural Arts] and the [Spirit Mediator] Skills.
He wanted to do the same he did with the farms and transform this into a "Spiritual Wall" of sorts, infused with some sort of life.
He began applying Alchemy and Geomancy into the mix as his immense quantities of Arcana flowed through the massive structure.
As he did, he began planting Spiritual Seeds created from his [Spiritual Ki Farmer Agricultural Arts] Skill, which started to rapidly germinate into small spiritual plants.
Which then Vlad encompassed into his Aura and then used through Geomancy…
"{Great Geomancy}: {Spiritual Essence Injection}!"
FLAAASH!
The hundreds of Spiritual Plants he had created with the seeds he had previously taken from his Spirit Farms rapidly expanded as countless tiny spirits turned into pure spiritual essence.
"W-Woah! He can generate spirits and spiritual energy?!" Ermelinda was amazed.
"Yeah, but I mean, it's not like it's easy; look how many resources and energy he's wasting," Chris said. "Not something he can do leisurely."
As Vlad injected the spiritual energy into the walls almost completely, he nodded.
This was only the first step towards his grand plan.
"Now… My very soul."
He quickly expanded his soul aura, beginning to meld it with the walls…
And that wasn't all, as he released something even deeper from within him, his very body and essence.
A combination of his soul, spirit energy, and blood energy…
FLUOSH!
It emerged from his aura, resembling a furious specter!
His very presence sent shivers down Chris and Ermelinda's backs…
"GRRRHHH…! KYEHEHEHE!"
It was the power of [Blood Ki Soul Spiritualization]!
This time, however, Vlad didn't let him run rampantly as the monster was quickly caught by his hands.
"{Great Geomancy}: {Blood Ki Soul Specter Fusion}!"
"GRAAACK?!"
The specter was controlled by powerful Alchemy Magic as he was suddenly thrown inside the wall, which made it rapidly gain a red and black color, each brick changing color as the walls trembled.
As this happened, his Blazing Doppelgangers had already set up ten magic circles around the walls, each one imbued with Crimson Runes, which then connected into a great Ritual Formation.
"{Crimson Moon Arcane Arts}: {Blood Moon's Crimson Cage}!"
A cage made of blood moonlight manifested over the entire city, which then started to meld with the wall as Vlad, who was surrounded by multiple magic circles spinning around, finished everything with a powerful spell.
"{Great Synthesis}!"
FLAAASH!
He combined and synthesized all ingredients into the wall, aiming to create an ultimate protection for his city or fail and end up with the entire wall crumbling down.
This was a gamble, but one he was willing to take for the benefits it offered!
RUMBLE!
The entire wall trembled; all the components really didn't want to become one, but Vlad used his enormous quantities of Arcana from both his own body and all his equipment to make it possible.
Equipping all the rings and accessories he had made to stack on as much Arcana as possible…
"Haaaah!"
And with a roar that unified his Aura and strengthened it, the Vampire Prince once more did another miracle, shocking all the people of Elderbridge, who watched the scene in awe.
"W-What is the prince doing?"
"He has conjured so many magic circles!"
"I cannot believe it…"
"The wall…"
"Look at the wall!"
"Mama, mama! What's happening?"
"P-Prince Vlad is once more… doing something crazy, dear."
The people of Elderbridge already knew Vlad had changed from the "crippled and useless" prince he was well known about; rumors spread everywhere about him becoming almost a different person once he turned into a Player.
Not only did he become stronger-willed, but he also started going into dungeons with an incubus, who many rumored to have some sort of affair with…
And well, such rumors weren't so wrong either way.
"It's done… Haaah…"
Vlad smiled, gasping for air as he felt exhausted, depleting all of his Arcana.
But managing to do something insane!
The walls had suddenly become five times thicker, although their height only increased by ten meters.
It was now decorated with many sharp blades around it and several fortresses growing out of it where soldiers could both live and watch over the city and the surroundings.
The bricks were mostly lined up into black and red bricks, with giant red, purple, and black jewels embedded into the walls, crystallizations of various mixed energies fueling the wall and acting as cores.
Aside from that, the wall itself…
RUMBLE!
It was now alive.
It emanated a powerful, black and red-colored aura of shadows and blood energy, constantly warping into countless long tentacles and crimson eyes.
"GIIIEEEEHHH…"
And the "Aura" of the Wall let out an ear-piercing shrill as it expanded itself all around the city, creating an additional protective barrier.
"W-What the fuck did you make now, Paul?!" Chris screamed.
"W-Wooah! This looks scary and so cool!" Ermelinda said.
"Well, technically it is a living wall, but also a monster, a spirit, and a golem, and also it has a part of the spiritualization of my blood ki," Vlad explained as he floated towards them. "Come on, there's no need to get scared; things like these are just common in Obscuritas."
