The guy also seemed to tense up upon seeing three of his allies already down, and he was probably starting to plan a retreat or some sort of strategy—but I wasn't going to let it end like that.
I looked to the side and noticed that the others, realizing the change in the situation, had quietly retreated and were now partially hiding behind some mechs and scattered parts. That made things a bit easier. They weren't useless; they had their own skills and training. At the same time, I communicated telepathically with Tiago, telling him to make sure to prioritize using his skills for self-defense in case of danger. He's not weak and has good abilities—I trained him in combat myself. In fact, I had already sensed that he wanted to step in and help, but I had asked him not to, and stopping the others from interfering would also make things simpler.
I raised my right hand, and my aura fluctuated, forming eight golden arrows, each one carrying an aura as sharp and deadly as a sword.
I moved two fingers.
The arrows shot straight at the enemy, and I saw him quickly activate the defensive shield built into his armor and raise a stone barrier using his elemental power. It seemed like he was being extra cautious—even with such a valuable and limited resource like that shield—he remembered to activate it just in time.
Some of the arrows shattered parts of his barrier, but he regenerated the walls just as quickly.
And I responded by creating more arrows, repeating the process.
As I watched my ability flying toward him, I remembered how a power based on pure energy like this is perceived in this world. It's considered even rarer than spatial powers and seen as incredibly difficult to master—mainly because there's no natural element or force to use as a reference for learning it. Also, pure energy is not usually visible in the surrounding environment, making it harder to control or visualize. And since it doesn't have a specific elemental point of origin, it lacks the special side effects that elemental energies often have, like fire's burning, ice's freezing, or the life-restoring energy of plants. Nor does it have the subtle mental effects of spiritual or psychic powers that can manipulate thoughts or nature.
The only major advantage is that it has no inherent elemental weakness, which some consider a benefit in this world. Even so, it's still not a widely popular or respected power. That said, it's definitely one of my favorites. Like many of my abilities, this one is the result of a fusion of traits and techniques I acquired through various lifetimes.
From my life as an archmage, I inherited the malleability and long-range transformation capability of energy spells.
From my time as a divine Saint, I retained its defensive potential and the ability to seal or purify with holy power.
From the life where I was a sword master, I gained its lethal precision and immense destructive power.
And from my life as a Murim cultivator, I mastered its stealth applications, its ability to boost physical stats and movement, and its unique internal resonance and control.
Of course, I no longer possess the complete healing power of divine energy or the spellcasting depth of an archmage. But the combination made this skill incredibly strong and extremely adaptable. It remains one of my personal favorites, though I still enjoy other powers that are equally fun or effective.
As I was briefly reminiscing about those past lives and the unique properties of their energies, I became slightly distracted—just enough time for earth spikes and laser blasts to come flying toward me.
I quickly snapped out of it and raised my left hand.
A silver, nearly invisible spatial power surged forth and formed a protective barrier in front of me.
The attacks either bounced off, were dissolved, or simply disintegrated when they came into contact with the overwhelming spatial energy.
The earth user, who had looked pleased for a moment thinking he had caught me off guard, now looked frustrated again.
And this time, I didn't wait.
I snapped the fingers of my right hand, and sixteen sharp, glowing golden arrows materialized in the air above me and shot toward him once again.
Simultaneously, my eyes glowed with runes and ancient symbols—filled with wisdom—revealing his flaws in detail.
I snapped my fingers again, and the number of arrows increased from sixteen to twenty-four. The bull-like man could clearly sense the danger rising, both from the growing number and the increasing destructive force of the arrows.
He responded by drastically raising his power and enclosing himself within a dome made of dense, reinforced elemental earth. My arrows began to struggle to pierce through it, and even when they did, he regenerated the damaged sections rapidly. From inside, I could see he was also trying to communicate with someone—possibly his commander or superior.
"Well... looks like I'll have to end this myself…"
The arrows froze mid-air for a brief moment, as a sharp blade of bluish-silver spatial energy formed in my right hand. In my left hand, a long spear of the same color materialized—its tip pulsing with an overwhelming and destructive force linked to space itself.
My Odin Eyes allowed me to see through the wall, clearly observing him inside—touching the ground, building the wall, and trying to establish communication.
"Alright then… it's time to finish this."
I teleported through space and appeared directly beside him. My aura enveloped my body and feet, streamlining my movement like a high-level Wuxia cultivator.
He was visibly shocked and unable to react in time.
My spatial blade sliced cleanly through his hand, piercing both armor and energy shield, and knocked the communication device from his grasp. At the same time, I released a concentrated wave of my mental power imbued with Dragon Fear, momentarily freezing his actions and slowing him down.
I didn't hesitate.
I struck twice—fast and clean. He instinctively tried to shield his heart, likely sensing the fatal danger—but it was already too late.
The space dagger tore into his shoulder, turning flesh and bone into dust through spatial compression.
The spear, now reinforced with my aura and an even higher concentration of spatial energy, plunged directly into his chest, breaking through all defenses—armor, energy shield, and even the protective force he had infused into his body. His heart was utterly destroyed as the weapon pierced clean through, and blood exploded from the wound. His body collapsed to the ground with a massive hole in his chest.
His wall still remained for a few seconds, and I heard a voice coming from the bracelet—a captain or someone trying to reach him.
I picked up the bloodstained bracelet with my left hand and looked down at my clothes, now soaked in crimson.
"I guess I'll have to throw these away…" I said quietly.
Using the dagger, which still carried residual energy from the last attack, I struck the earthen wall. Its power was already weakened due to the user's death, and the part I struck crumbled into dust, leaving an opening wide enough for me to walk through.
I stepped forward calmly, stretching my body slightly, each step light but measured.
