Chapter 15 - Fight in the engineer's room I.

Under the pirates' command, we were forced to gather on one side. One of them stepped forward — he looked angry, clearly one of the leaders.

He held fire in one hand, a large knife in the other, and moved with his tail swaying like an irritated lion.

"Engineers, you'd better stay quiet and not piss me off, or I'll burn you all!!"

Another pirate — the one with fish scales starting to show — threw a sphere of water at him, which the fiery one burned instantly.

"Stop showing off, you flashy cat."

"Ooooh, a bold little fish like always. Want me to roast you?"

They looked like they were about to start a fight, and I watched the scene with curiosity.

The larger one stomped the ground, and I felt a flicker of elemental earth energy. I don't possess a specific ability for it, and I'm… different, but I was once an archmage and a spiritualist, like an elf, so my elemental sensitivity is still decent.

Fire… water… and earth.

I narrowed my eyes but continued acting quiet, observing the one who seemed to be giving orders.

"Hey, Invaser. Get into the system and download the Mech data," he said to a sub-orc.

So… their mission was to extract data from the General's Mechs and others? Intriguing…

One of the engineers stepped forward.

"No!! You can't do that!!" he shouted.

But his only reward was a harsh slap from the fish-type orc that knocked him to the ground.

"Quiet, engineer."

The sub-orc said nothing and started tampering with the computer to extract the data.

Meanwhile, the lion-like orc paced in front of us like a watchman. Well, to avoid leaks and resolve this issue quickly, I figured I'd better act soon.

With a plan forming, I quietly told Tiago not to react or do anything and began my move.

First, I released a pheromone scent — a leftover from when I was an omega. While the effect here is weaker than with alphas in that world, it still draws attention, especially from orcs.

The overly excited lion at the front sniffed the air.

"Mmm… smells good."

The other two also noticed, though they tried to keep focus.

The lion made his way directly in front of me. I was purposefully acting weak, with a slightly seductive air.

"What a beautiful sub-orc… and mmm, so fragrant," he said, his eyes full of greed and lust.

I felt Tiago tense up, but he held himself back. The others were tense too, though unwilling to move.

"You… you mean me?" I asked in a weak voice.

"Yes," he replied, leaning closer.

"Hey, why don't you come with me, pretty sub-orc? I bet you'll like it," he said, tugging at my hand slightly. I let him lead, pretending to resist.

"B-but…"

"Relax… I think you'll make a perfect husband for me…"

His voice was thick with lust, and though I was irritated, I held it in — I was close enough.

My eyes began to glow with golden light, runes and symbols dancing within them. This was the S-Class skill I managed to bring from the Hunter world — the Eyes of Odin. They let me see through all flaws, lies, and truth, among other effects. Of course, the physical and mental cost can be high, but for short-range battles like this, it's negligible — especially with my high physical and mental power, and the strength of the skill itself.

Observing his flaws and vein points, I released a stronger wave of pheromones to disorient him.

As he grew dizzy, I moved — golden energy surged subtly through my body. My hands glowed with restrained force, and before he could react, I struck. My hands moved like slaps, but delivered heavy, precise blows to his weak points, infusing his body with internal energy that caused severe internal damage. Purple motes of energy fluttered around as I finished the combo with a kick charged with golden light, launching him into the wall.

"Fire-type with AoE damage: neutralized."

At the same time, I summoned a butterfly-shaped blade made of silvery-blue spatial energy in my left hand. Before anyone could react, I released it — the blade vanished and reappeared through space, materializing in front of the sub-orc just as he turned at the sound. He had no time, skills, or sensitivity to react — the blade slashed deeply across his neck, killing him instantly.

That one had to go. No way I could let them extract Mech data…

Finally, everyone began reacting. The earth-element one moved first — he raised his right hand and fired stone spikes at me, and used a firearm with his left to shoot toward my position.

I simply teleported using spatial energy, appearing beside the water-type one. I was already moving with a Murim technique, my body lightly covered in a golden aura. My eyes still glowed as I searched for weaknesses.

Startled, the fish-man summoned weapons and waves of water for defense and offense.

His spear came at me from the right — golden light pulsed from my aura, taking on a brighter, almost sacred tone, blocking the attack. My hand moved in a thrusting motion. He seemed confident in his water shield, and my golden energy, while strong, didn't seem overly aggressive.

But I smiled.

Mid-attack, my aura sharpened — turning into a blade with destructive force.

At the same time, I activated another sub-effect of the Odin Eyes. When used close-up, it creates a kind of mental overload — a momentary confusion from an influx of wisdom that can freeze the mind.

It worked.

My aura pierced his water shield with ease. I sliced upward across his chest and then applied something violet directly to the wound with my left hand. As I did, I shifted the aura into a punch-like form — compact and devastating — and drove it into his injury, launching him forward.

"Ah… I haven't fought like this in a while… this is fun."

I spoke with a slight smile, blood still on my hands and face. I turned my wrist slowly, letting the blood slide down.

With three enemies down, I turned to the last one — the earth-type. I could feel it now — he's likely a bull or something similar.
