Xaviera wore a long beige coat, her hair tied in a casual bun while she walked in with an elegant air. Although journalists shoved microphones in her face, she maintained a smile.
"Mrs. Mamet, as Mr. Caleb Mamet's wife, don't you think it's presumptuous to suddenly show up at the press conference?" someone said mockingly.
Xaviera gave a gentle smile: "I apologize for being late, everyone. Since the press conference is about my husband, I believe I have the right to be here."
The person angrily accused her, "Caleb Mamet took advantage of his position and stole a donation. Shouldn't you apologize for him? People like you only care about your interests, completely disregarding the lives of the people in the mountainous region!"
