Jack had fought through waves and waves of enemies. Despite, the shock and awe she inspired at the beginning. She was pinned down at the moment. She was inside a blood socked hallway, around her lied the bodies of the slavers. Infront of her was the Bridge. Her ticket to freedom. The entrance to the bridge had been reinforced heavily. She could count a dozen slavers firing at her. There was no cover, and she could not retreat anymore. She was straining herself on the biotic shield that she had created. Her shield will break and that would be the end of her Calling in reserves that she did not know existed. Yet, her strength was fading fast. The biotic shield was beginning to crack.
Before her shield could crack, a green shield forms in front of her. With his hand raised, she saw the same white haired brat from before. His eyes glowing toxic green. Jack let the biotic shield fall. Falling to her knees, she began to pant.
----------------------------------------
Danny sighed in relief, as he had just arrived in time. It was easy to follow the trail of destruction left behind by Jack. an extoplasmic shield infront of him. He spoke to the crazy lady.
"Hey, you crazy lady. Can you stand"
"I did not need your help brat. I can take care of myself." Jack said as she picks up a shotgun near a fallen slaver.
A couple of explosions enveloped Danny's shield and he felt his ghost core's energy level depleting. There was so much damage that his shield could take. "Are they using rocket launcher's now. Jack grab me, I can't hold the shield for a long time".
"Fuck off brat."
"No time." Danny said as he picked up Jack in a princess carry. Going intangible and invisible. He went through the barricade. This was one of the strangest experience of Jack's life. She felt as if she was weightless and her entire body felt numb. She was deposited by the Ghost behind the barricade. Taking a moment to get rid of the numb feeling. She cocked her shotgun and began to rain down hell on the fucking slavers. Danny began to fire ghost rays as well.
The slaver were taken by complete surprise. Half of them had been taken out before they could even turn around. Jack's shotgun over-heated as she took out another slaver, she used Biotic throw to slam one of the enemies against the wall. The four remaining guys got into cover and began to fire at Danny and Jack. Jack was running out of juice so she could not throw biotic attacks willy-nilly. Her head was already starting to throb.
Danny seeing the situation decided to charge up an ectoblast. Legs apart, cupping his hand, focusing the energy from his core into both his hands and then into the form of a ball. He released the ecto-blast into the midst of the enemies. A small explosion took place and two no three of the enemies went down. Jack used lift on the last of the enemies. Seeing him float at her mercy. She stepped forward and picked up one the pistols lying around. Pointing it at his head. She shot.
Jack stepped towards Fenton, and punched him square in the nose. "That's for carrying me.", and then she hugged him. "And that's for saving me." Danny's face was pushed into her chest. Holding him tight. Danny was for the first time confused. He was pretty sure that ghosts did not need to breath. So, why was he suffocating. Jack smiled at the green blush on the brat's face. Letting him go. The brat may have origins like her looking at his abilities.
Danny took a moment to take control of himself. He went intangible and made his way to the engineering core. Seeing Kenn there. "Ship's Clear."
Kenn nodded. We just need to enter any of the systems under Citadel's influence. We can then use a distress beacon to ask for help.
Danny nodded. "Well, seems like my work here is done. I take care of the bad guys and you clean up after me. Win-win as far as I am concerned."

(After a few hours)
It had been a little time during which Danny had managed to power down and discreetly hide among the previous prisoners. During this time, he had been helping people by distributing rations and securing the slavers. Any one alive had been put in the cells. The weapons had been distributed to people that knew how to use them. A few salarians were helping Kenn with the maintenance. It had taken a little bit of time but the ship was now underway. People, regardless of species now had hope on their faces.
While Danny was learning about the working principles of an eezo core from an Asari scientist.
An announcement rang out.
"This is Kenn, your cruise captain". Laughter rang out at that. "If you look to your right, we are now approaching a relay station. Buckle up, just a little bit of time until we can reach the authorities."
Now that things were calm, Danny began to look outside. It was a surreal scene. It had always been Danny's dream to travel among the stars. He had always wanted to be an astronaut. That dream may have been impossible for the past him but now here he his seeing the star's, traveling in a Spaceship. Pretty soon the ship approached a mass relay. A blue light enveloped the vessel and they were off at Faster then Light speeds.
"So, Relays are basically connected in a network. A relay can transport a ship to another relay that they are linked with. This network is one of the artifacts left by the Protheans" Alessa(The Asari scientist) explained. "So I couldn't help but wonder what happened to your family?"
Alyssa was 6 ft 2 tall light blue colored asari. She had D size breasts and a curvy body to match. She was giant as far as Danny was concerned.
Hearing the question, Danny grew a little sad and he visibly deflated. He began to miss his family dearly. Looking at his expression, Alessa made her own assumption about their fate and said. "I am sorry."
Some time passed in silence. It was strange to say but Alessa felt a connection to Danny. A strange type of connection. Steeling her heart, Alessa spoke once again." You know, what about living with me for the moment" Looking at Danny's raised eyebrow, She began to explain quickly. "My bond-mate will agree with me, and I also have a daughter. She has been asking me for a little sister. I wonder if she would be surprised If I bring her a little brother."
Danny tried to interject. "Listen, I....."
But Alessa did not give him an opportunity and continued, "You're 14 years old. I don't know what you think your options are. But looking at your situation now, you will grow on the streets. Nope, you are living with us." Grabbing his head, she brought it to his chest and held him there. Danny pretty soon began to tap out due to lack of air.
"Alright." Danny agreed. Alessa smiled. "We are going to have so much fun." she said putting Danny in a headlock.

Asari have one of the longest lifespan of any species. Living upto a thousand years. This long lifespan had allowed the Asari to amass alot of political influence within the council and among all the other races. The asari term to look at things from a long term perspective. Humans were a recent addition to the species that inhibited the council space.
The system alliance represented another opportunity for the Asari. Plans had been drawn, connections made for long term benefits. An exchange program was proposed by the Ruling Asari Matriarchs.
Alessa had been one of the individuals who had been part of the program. She had been sent to one of the research sites on one of the moons in the Skyllian Verge. They had been attacked by Bartarian slavers. It was an open secret that they were funded by the Hegemony. She feared an increase of slaver actions in Council space. It was almost impossible to police the entire borders. Holes were inevitable.
She had been taken to one of the bases where people captured from all over council space are gathered. She had seen alot of suffering and pain. People flagged and broken. When they got on the ship. It felt like all hope had been lost. Until she had seen a human looking creature, a human biotic and a quarian saved them.
That was not her concern. Among the survivors, she had found a human boy all alone. Impossibly inquisitive, looking as if he was in space for the first time. He had been distributing rations, helping with first aid and doing maintenance. When she found out about his family, she had decided to take him home with her. She had seen the duct rats within the citadel. Her bond-mate would agree afterall.
She would also need to report to the Matriarch council. She had no doubt that the Bartarian Hegemony would start major military action within the Skylian Verge soon as a show of force to the council and attempt to put humanity in its place. The time-frame will be accelerated even more now.
That was for tomorrow, for now she has to get Danny.
