Charles's lips twitched slightly, and honestly, any man would have felt the same way, although it was extremely unrealistic.
Anna pushed Charles away with her hand, a trace of sourness in her voice as she descended the staircase. "If I found another man, maybe then you would understand how I feel right now."
"Anna," Charles reached out to grab Anna's wrist.
"The thing is, there was a reason for it. When I first met Elizabeth, I thought you had died. Little did I know you were still alive, and it would evolve into the situation we have now."
Anna whipped around fiercely, charging angrily toward Charles who kept backing away. "Oh! So you're blaming me, are you?"
Seeing that Charles was at a loss for words, Anna turned and walked toward the stairwell exit. "Forget it, I won't bother arguing with a man who's part of someone else's harem."
"Hey, where are you going? There are places on the island you shouldn't wander off to."
