"Of course, you are the dearest people to me," Charles said as he put his arm around Anna's slender waist.
"Since that's the case, why not just stay with us and live well? What's the point in seeking death every day?" Anna said, leaning against Charles's chest.
A flicker of relaxation crossed Charles's brows, but it was quick to firm up again.
"The problem is that this damned place isn't somewhere you can live well at all. As long as I'm in the Earth Sea, I don't feel safe for a moment."
"Even though we now occupy an island, the island itself could sink at any time. Not to mention the gods in the sea, remember what happened on British Island? What are we in Their eyes, after all? With those beings around, can we really forget everything and live well?"
Hearing this, Anna bent her knees slightly, going from perched to lying down. She pointed to the glowing crack above their heads and said, "Maybe we could move up there to live. It's so high up, it surely can't sink."
