Chapter 2 - Realization.

As Mystic stood gazing at the city, memories began to flood his mind, Ever since he was born in this body, he had always known he was different, though he could never pinpoint why, as he lacked the necessary memories.

Strange dreams had plagued his nights for as long as he could remember, fragments of memories that felt like they belonged to someone else.

Whenever he tried to grasp them, they would slip through his mind like water through his fingers, but this time was different, for the first time, he could remember the dream vividly, clear as day.

He concentrated, trying to link this dream to the countless others he had experienced before. Suddenly, something clicked in his mind, like a dam bursting open.

Mystic could have sworn he heard the sound of something breaking within his head, and then, all hell broke loose.

"Ahhhh!" Mystic screamed, clutching his head in agony.

All the blurry dreams he had been experiencing for years came rushing back to him, only this time, they were sharper, clearer, and more overwhelming than ever, his brain working overtime, struggling to process the flood of information pouring in from those fragmented memories.

When the pain became unbearable, Mystic collapsed, slumping into unconsciousness.

The deep sleep didn't last long; cause after just five hours, he jolted awake, gasping for breath, but now, his eyes carried a sharper focus, and his expression reflected a new understanding.

Finally, everything made sense – his memories, his strange talent.

Mystic realized the truth: he had been reincarnated, in his previous life, he had lived on Earth, a simple and ordinary world, perhaps one of the most basic worlds imaginable.

In his previous life, soccer had been his greatest passion, shaping his entire life.

It had always felt odd to him, having such a unique power in a world where abilities were unheard of, yet, despite his weaker left leg, Mystic had pushed through. With the help of a mysterious system and his family's financial support, he had earned a spot on his family's football club at the start of his career, not because he was the owner's son, but because he was just that talented at making split second decisions with a ball .

What he lacked in his left leg's strength, he made up for with exceptional skills, quick thinking, a unique ability, and an acute sense for reading the game.

He had become a star player, not through privilege, but through sheer determination and talent.

All these gifts Mystic had considered blessings and a curse until the day he died, the strange part was, he didn't even realize he had died until this last dream pieced up all his memories together.

He was reincarnated into an alternate universe, a world similar to his previous Earth but vastly different in many ways.

In this new world, football wasn't just a sport; it was everything.

Soccer dominated the planet, holding the position of the number one sport, it was cherished to such an extent that every country allocated significant resources to develop sporting competitions and nurture geniuses who could elevate their nation's reputation on the global stage.

But there was one major difference between this Earth and the one Mystic had previously known.

Apart from the far more advanced technology that his old Earth likely wouldn't achieve for a million years to come, this world had another incredible twist, everyone in a professional sport awakened superpowers.

Superstar footballers didn't just rely on skill; they possessed abilities that felt straight out of a fantasy.

Mystic had previously accepted this as the norms since he was reborn in this world with no previous memories so he saw it as normal, but now that his memories from his past life had fully merged with him, he realized just how amazing this new world truly was.

[Allocated time completed. System activation in progress, you have now reached the eligible age to take over your father's club.]

[System configuring… 2%]

A small notification appeared in front of Mystic's eyes, and everything started to make sense.

All the scattered pieces of his memories were finally coming together, he now understood why his past and present were merging.

In this life, Mystic had lost his father a year ago, and just like in his past life, his family owned a football club.

But unlike the glory days of his previous life, this club was struggling, once a powerhouse with a rich history, The Dark Elites were now on the brink of bankruptcy.

The club had lost all its top players at an alarming rate, unable to afford their salaries.

Without competitions or victories to generate income, they were rapidly falling apart, Mystic's father, however, had left a specific clause in his will, Mystic would inherit the team only when he turned 18.

It was now 12 midnight, the moment Mystic officially turned 18 and his final dream patched together all his memories, with clarity in his mind, he realized what he needed to do, this was his moment to rise and rebuild his family's legacy.

And that meant restoring the club to its former glory. Mystic knew it wouldn't be easy, especially considering how much more complex football in this world was compared to his previous one.

But if there was one thing that made sense in the chaos, it was that he had been given a second chance, and he was determined to make the most of it, no matter the challenges ahead.

"I guess it's time I finally sign those papers," Mystic said to himself, realizing sleep was now impossible.

With his passion reignited, he called his uncle late that night, instructing him to have the lawyer ready to draft the ownership papers, Mystic wanted to sign them first thing in the morning and officially claim the rest of his inheritance, including the entire club.

PLAYER / MANAGER

As the system's configuration hit fifty percent, a new prompt appeared before Mystic, presenting him with a choice that threw him into deep thought.

He had been a player before, and he knew the highs and lows of the game, the challenges, and the triumphs.

But even in this new life, reincarnated with his powers, there was one thing that hadn't changed, his weaker left foot.

And with how fiercely competitive soccer in this world was, Mystic wasn't keen on going through the grind of being a player again.

This time, he had something he never had before, ownership of the club, for the first time, he had the opportunity to shape a team from the side-lines, to strategize and build something lasting.

Being a manager felt like the right path. All he needed to do was reorganize the team once the ownership transfer was complete.

"Let's live life to the fullest," Mystic mumbled as he confidently selected the Manager position.

The system's configuration resumed, and Mystic resolved to use his acute soccer sense and deep knowledge of the game to rebuild his team and lift it from bankruptcy, this time, he was determined to make his mark from the dugout.
