Chapter 1 - DRAKYS

A body sailed through the air, slamming into the oak tree scattered about and it broke, a feminine voice groaned out in pain but relished the way the Drakys eyes rolled and slumped forward, colliding to the ground before it disintegrated.

She had been seeing them a lot and wondered why they were migrating towards this quiet part of the realm, her pointed ears that unlike the other fae had six splits and twelve birth ring on them which bless her Mama's soul she had used her magic to block bef-

Forget it, her ears twitched as it caught onto the sound of feet meeting the earth and she quickly got on her feet and scaled the tree, although they all looked dead, they rhymed with her dressing and if she hid well enough, then no one would be able to notice her.

She watched a male walk into the clearing, he didn't stop to acknowledge anything but as soon as he got to the point where the Drakys had disintegrated, he sniffed long and hard and his whole body went rigid, his eyes scaled the place, running over her without notice and growling lowly as his eyes flashed pure red, he was one of the things she had encountered a while back, the new generation of Drakys, not born as a monster but as a fae with the blood of a Drakys flowing in their veins, how would it be possible to tell a real fae from this monsters.

"I'll get you one day" he swore and her mind tingled when she realized he was talking about her, she had been responsible for the death of so many Drakys, they were tough to kill but died anyway, they had been responsible for so many evil things, so many wails of anguish and pain had all been their fault and from their hands and she would keep up the good work till she fell.

He growled one last time and left, she watched him till he no longer could be seen and she cautiously scaled down the tree, fingers digging into the rough but peeling rotten bark as she landed on her feet, she turned and left the clearing, going the way the male had come from and soon she began to hear the first noise of the small community of faes who lived so close to the veil.

She walked out into the bustling market and watched as they all began to call out to her with smiles, none of them knew what she did every time she left those woods but she came back everytime bearing goods.

To the apple seller she gave a bag filled with clear good apples, rare ones like the ones in blue and purple colors, one of the best at portions and clearly sort after.

The lady cried out in happiness and hugged her and she smiled but winced when she pressed in on the slash she had gotten from the Drakys before she ended it but plastered a smiling face when she pulled away and went through the market till she got to the blacksmith who gave her a stare before pulling her into the shop and out through a back door that led to the small yard that led to the house they both stayed, he was like a father figure to her and her heart clenched as she recalled a series of incidents but instead pushed it down as always.

"Hey Perry" she greeted with a toothy grin and he glared at her for a while before he smiled.

"Hey kid, what you've been up to? He asked and she smiled.

"Nothing much, but I got you something on my way deeper into the forest today, it's some sort of mining resources but my guts tell me it might be of help to you" she pulled out the large satchel and handed it to the male who pulled back the cover and his eyes bulged at it.

"Where did you get it? He asked.

"A Drakys was going after it in a cave but I got to it before he did" she explained, confused at his reaction, she knew all about blacksmithing but she wasn't sure why he was this surprised and in awe..

"This is obsidian at it's rarest purest form, this made into any weapon can not be broken, it can be used to craft so many ideas all put together" he explained and she finally understood him.

"Oh okay, you do that, I got to have a nap" she left him there and began for the door, pulling it open and shutting it but not after hearing perry yell out to her.

"Be up before dark, we have a festival to get to" he bellowed.

"Yes Perry " she yelled back and went to her small room where she proceeded to unstrap herself of all her weapons and winced heavily when her shirt ripped at the slash as she pulled it off and threw it into the basket by the side, she was a neat person and that was the only dirty ware she had to clean but as she stared at the deep slash on her tummy, she gave a grunt and collapsed on the bed, face up. She would heal before she woke up, she had that sweet ability that also made her cringe in pain but soon she was drifting off to sleep.

Soon she was waking up, all healed but her instincts told her something was off and she carefully dressed up quickly and took her weapons then left the place, leaving the whole place and entering the shop but her senses detected the strong smell of iron, it smelt pungent and foul and she gasped as she found perry slumped by the shed, neck slit and bleeding heavily and from what she saw it was recent, her body shut down as she watched the man she had taken as a father all this years since he found her in those woods, her brain got the information but her heart refused to accept it, she refused to accept it and throwing her head back, she cried out in anguish into the air, her wailings split the air and she heard one reply her and soon footsteps filled her ears as she bent down to the form of her father, perry.

Her mind threatened to take her back and her eyes blurred as she tried to restrain herself but failed and memories came flooding into her, all different but all painful and heart breaking, she sat there beside him sobbing her eyes out as her vacant eyes recounted similar memories.
