That morning, Areum sat at a small pavilion in the palace, holding a battered notebook she had requested from one of the guards.
Written in big letters on it:
"Project: Back to 2022!"
Using a marker pen (which she borrowed from Hyeon—who didn't realize it was actually a "modern magic tool" according to Areum), she drew a big circle and wrote:
> Phase 1: Find a time portal in the palace!
Phase 2: Try to create artificial lightning!
Phase 3: If all else fails — cause a palace-wide commotion!
Her maids stood behind her, their faces blank with confusion.
"What is... a 'portal,' Agassi?" Jimin asked cautiously.
Areum grinned widely. "In simple terms... it's a magic door. Like in Doraemon!"
Jimin and Hyeon exchanged glances. Sora whispered, "Our agassi... she's truly extraordinary..."
"Mission: Start!"
Areum began her "exploration" by sneaking into one of the abandoned buildings in the palace.
She carried a long stick that she called a "time-wave detector."
> "If this stick moves on its own... that means there's a time portal!"
Several palace guards were ordered to follow her discreetly since she was under Prince Wang Joon's special protection—though all of them were utterly bewildered.
Areum walked around, whispering like a secret agent, "Agent Areum, ready. Mission: find the portal... starting now!"
She opened one of the old doors and—BOOM!
A horde of stray cats rushed out—and Areum screamed, falling flat on her back!
The "Artificial Lightning" Incident
Areum had a theory: "If I can create an electric shock, maybe the time waves will open, just like in dramas!"
She requested metal wires, a bowl of water, and... a special stone from the palace kitchen.
Areum set everything up right in the middle of the garden.
"Agassi... is this like... summoning a dragon?" Sora asked seriously.
"I'm trying to create artificial lightning!"
Just as she was about to 'activate' her experiment—the palace chief stormed in, furious, thinking Areum was practicing forbidden magic!
Areum just laughed and said, "No! I just want to... recharge time!"
"Palace in an Uproar"
Because of the noise, smoke, and chaos from Areum's experiments, rumors spread that "the strange princess from the sky" was trying to open the gates of hell.
Some people secretly started worshiping Areum. Others worried that Prince Wang Joon might have been bewitched by love magic!
Wang Joon could only shake his head with a smile.
> "This woman... really is from another world."
But behind all the chaos, he realized one thing:
Since Areum's arrival, he had been genuinely happy.
And now... he was certain he wanted Areum to stay by his side.
That night, Areum lay in bed, writing in her small journal:
> "Day 10 in the world of Goryeo.
Mission to return: failed again.
But... strangely...
my heart... doesn't really want to go back that much anymore."
