It was the time of early winter ,In the outskirts of the NQSC , a little kid around the angel of fifteen can be seen walking in a rather quiet place of the outskirts with a small container in his hands
The kid has black hair and black eyes with a pale white skin , kid has a small height for his age as he was only about 150 cm tall , he was wearing ragged clothes which were covered in dirt and grime with several holes in them
His name was Sunless
But today he was in a little better mood that his usual self because after day of starving and saving little money he can collect he finally bought a proper meal , not that fake synthpaste but real food
"All those days of starvation just for this tiny bit of food , tsk" he muttered under his breath
But just as he was about to take a seat to eat his hard earned meal in peace
But suddenly three figures appeared in front of sunny from the alleywith obvious no good intentions by the looks on their faces
It was a man in his early twenties with unkept hairs and ragged clothing with two mens on both sides in similar condition
Seeing them sunny kenw what was about to come and cursed his luck internally
"What you have their kid , hand it over before anything bad happen to your " the man said while eying the food container with greed in his eyes
"None of your business, so fuck of !" Sunny said while showing his middle finger to the man in a tone which didn't quite contain his annoyance
In the next moment and punch landed on his gud knocking the air out of his lungs
'Maybe that was not a good idea ' sunny thought while gasping for breath. The man snatched the container from his hand
"You should have listened to me you little shit" the man said while without sparing him a second glance
Sunny being the stubborn person he was, tried to fight , he lunged forward in the direction of the man with every thing he got but the man simply throughed another punch to his face , knocking the live daylights out of sunny
"Huh.. you little shit , do you think you can fight back , you should have stayed dow like a obedient dog " thw man said
"At least I don't have to steal food from a little kid to survive " sunny said with disdain and Mickey in his voice
Listening to this man shouted " huh , DO YOU THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME , YOU BASTART" while throwing a another brutal kick to his gut againg leaving sunny gasping from air as the man continues his onslaught with his henchmens
After a mercilessly beating they left sunny in a half dead state
'Haa , i really wanted to eat some real food once before dying' sunny thought while laying there in half dead condition
At that moment sunny was feeling a range of emotions, but the most prominent one was the rage and resentment he was feeling towards those bastard who leave him in his current state
Suddenly sunny should " DAMN IT ALL!!!!"
with all his remaining strength he has before loosing consciousness

Sunny's POV
After several hours sunny wake up with the most nasty headache he ever had in his whole life but then a monotonous voice spoke in his head
[Congratulations! You have acquired "THE SYSTEM" as a one time reward the your wounds are healed]
Sunny frantically started looking for the source of the voice with beads of sweat running down his forehead untill his eyes landed on a eerie black screen screen in front of him , sunny immediately tried to step back
'am i dreaming? But the headache I am having is quite real though, ahh I must have started to hallucinating after all that hunger and beating '
Sunny tried to brush off the black screen , thinking of it as his imagination, he stood up but a growling voice came from his stomach
"I think I should look for something to eat " sunny muttered while feeling a little embarrassed

After several hours later sunny was still looking for food but his focus was on the the eerie black screen that was following him everywhere,
After no luck finding anything to eat sunny decided to give his undivided attention to the strange thing that was following him
At first , but he thought it must be like thing from the webtoon he had read in the past when he was a kid
'Urghh! Who am I even kidding, I am not some webtoon character with a plot armour' Sunny thought while still looking at the screen
He tried to touch it but as soon as his hand touched the screen , someone speak or something speak in head in a monotonous robotic voice

Sunny was again startled, but tried to regain his composure
"So that's why I have no wound on May body when I woke up, but what even is this thing and why it is happening to me ? It it some kind of evil being " he muttered half jokingly
Again the voice spoke
[THE SYSTEM ' is given to the host from the creator to the host , to help the host in improving himself after witnessing his miserable life]
"What miserable life you bastard" after reading the sunny immediately apt in angry
But the voice continued

The gears in Sunny's head immediately started to turn after hearing about the the reward and a grin started to form on his face
But the voice again continued
[The host body is malnourished and utter trash , immediately started the quest for improvement]
"Thanks for stating the obvious, Sherlock!" Sunny said in a sarcastic tone ' who even is Sherlock ' sunny thought
Then white text appeared on the screen in front of him

Time limit : untill midnight
Reward: Three full meals and system points ]
[Failure will result in receiving penalty]
After reading the quest , he knitted his brows and said in mocking voice " what bulshit is this , as if anyone can get stronger by doing just that , though the reward is quite tempting" but ultimately sunny decided to ignore the absurd idea and started heading towards his shack
'how do I even close this thing' as soon as he thought that the screen disappeared
Sunny just shrugged and went his way
