Chapter 57 - 57

Chapter Fifty-Seven

Crow sat lazily on his throne atop the Flying Base, his fingers tapping against the cold black armrest.

Outside, his army spread like a sea of shining steel and magic —

undead, elves, priests, healers, dragons, heroes, and now twenty legendary summons.

Above his head, a giant system message blinked in gold:

[Server Event: Monster Slaughterfest begins in 1 hour!]

[First Place Reward: Divine Rank Half-Snake Half-Human Unit!]

[Bonus Reward (Luck-Based): Additional Divine Unit!]

Crow's golden eyes glinted with amusement.

First place?

It wasn't even a question.

It was already his.

Still, Crow didn't waste a second.

He opened the Special N.P.C Shop —

A limited-time divine units sale had just appeared.

And sitting at the very top was a figure Crow instantly recognized:

[Divine Rank Unit: Vaeril — The Eternal Elven Blade]

Race: Elf (Pureblood)

Specialization: Swordmaster, Dimensional Movement, Mass Combat Buffs

Vaeril's value was unimaginable.

In Crow's past life, wars had been fought just for the hope of recruiting a mere descendant of Vaeril.

Now, he could have her... instantly.

— Without hesitation, Crow bought her.

A ripple of space tore open before him.

From the distortion stepped a woman with flowing silver hair, skin like pale moonlight, and armor so perfect it seemed crafted from stars.

Her emerald eyes locked onto Crow — calm, wise, ancient —

and then, without hesitation, she knelt on one knee.

"My blade and soul are yours, Master," Vaeril whispered, voice like a song of the old forest.

[You have acquired Divine Rank Unit: Vaeril!]

[Vaeril has sworn Absolute Loyalty through Divine Contract!]

[New Command Option: Dimensional Battalion Formation unlocked!]

[Vaeril grants a 15% overall army stat buff while present!]

Crow's cold heart stirred for a brief moment.

Another divine piece on his ever-growing chessboard.

Another blade pointed at the world.

He waved lightly, and Vaeril rose silently, moving to stand behind his throne alongside Sasha, Aeris, Elizabeth, Briony, and the other divine ranks —

all of them, beautiful, deadly, and utterly loyal.

59 minutes.

The Event was about to begin.

And Crow?

He was already smiling.

Because this was no competition.

It was a massacre waiting to happen.

And the world was about to learn the difference between players —

— and a god.
