Chapter 26 - 26

Chapter Twenty-Six: Hero Expansion

After absorbing the Endless Evolution talent, Crow's mind raced.

Another hidden opportunity was about to appear —

one that most players wouldn't even realize until much later.

In the early Starter Villages, a special event would quietly trigger:

an item sale that allowed players to increase their hero capacity.

Normally, every player was limited to five heroes at maximum.

No exceptions.

But with the right items?

That limit could be broken.

Again.

And again.

Without end — if you had the resources.

The first item cost one Hero Expansion Stone.

The second needed two.

The third needed three.

Each time, the requirement would climb higher...

but for Crow, it was meaningless.

He was swimming in riches and resources already.

Crow teleported back to the Starter Village Black Market where he'd bought the Hero Summoning Book before.

Sure enough, the shopkeeper — an old ghostly merchant draped in black — had set out new goods.

There it was:

[Item: Hero Expansion Stone (Rare Event-Only)]

[Effect: Increases the maximum hero limit by 1 upon use.]

Price: 5,000 Gold Each

Laughable.

Crow immediately bought out the entire first batch.

[Purchased: 1 Hero Expansion Stone.]

[Hero Limit +1.]

Then he bought the second.

[Purchased: 2 Hero Expansion Stones.]

[Hero Limit +1.]

Then the third, even as the cost grew.

[Purchased: 3 Hero Expansion Stones.]

[Hero Limit +1.]

Crow continued until he had expanded his Hero Limit from 5 to 15.

Each additional expansion cost more stones — but he had the wealth.

And he would keep expanding it until no one in the world could match him.

As Crow finished, a notification appeared.

[Hero Limit Updated: 15]

[You may now contract 15 Heroes simultaneously.]

Crow's eyes gleamed.

He already had Seraphina and Selene.

Now he had 13 empty slots just waiting to be filled with the strongest heroes this world could offer.

And with Skill Plunder, Endless Evolution, and his Divine Controller class backing him...

He would find them.

He would own them.

One by one.

Crow turned from the shop, black coat fluttering behind him, as his companions silently followed.

Seraphina floated close to his side, eyeing him with adoration.

Selene walked behind him, a silent blade ready to strike.

Sasha and Aeris observed quietly, sensing the magnitude of what their master was building.

Soon...

Crow wouldn't just be the strongest.

He would command an army of the greatest beings across reality itself.

And nobody — no god, no king, no fool — would stand against him.
