Chapter 4 - chapter 4:Inzaghi's Awareness

Bazel stared blankly at the soccer ball lying quietly in the goal. He never imagined that, under his defense, he would actually let this little guy get away.

He didn't think there was anything wrong with his prediction, but Suk did get past his defense. Bazel couldn't figure out where he went wrong.

But more than anything, he felt his face burning up.

He had just boasted confidently, and the other side scored right after.

What Bazel really couldn't accept was that this was the guy's first touch of the ball in the entire game, and he scored on his first touch. What kind of opportunity-grabbing ability was that?

However, Bazel didn't get discouraged. He believed he could still defend against Suk; he just needed to be more careful.

On the other side, Suk had already run to the stands to interact with the fans.

The Mostar Wanderers fans all liked Suk, especially the slightly older ones. They loved to pinch Suk's chubby, baby-faced cheeks.

Just like now, as soon as he ran to the fan area, he was surrounded by fans.

A burly, vest-wearing middle-aged man wrapped Suk in his arms and vigorously ruffled Suk's hair, messing up his smooth black hair until it was a mess, and then pinched Suk's chubby cheeks with his rough hands.

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

Suk's tears were almost falling from the pain, but due to his physical condition, he couldn't resist at all.

And the others were just watching the fun.

"Suk! We also have a Golden Left Foot Suk!"

A fan laughed and cheered.

Of course, the Suk he was talking about wasn't the 150cm Suk, but the Croatian super striker 'Golden Left Foot' Davor Šuker.

Taking advantage of the other party's laughter, Suk quickly broke free from his embrace. His cheeks were already flushed red, and they became even more rosy.

Suk rubbed his cheeks, looking extremely depressed.

He didn't quite understand why these big, rough guys liked to rub his face so much. Even though his skin was good and his baby fat was elastic, that wasn't a reason for these guys to rub him.

"Nice one!"

Mlinar ran over and grabbed Suk under his shoulders, lifting him up directly.

Suk felt very embarrassed being lifted up by the other party.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

Suk struggled with his short legs, but Mlinar didn't budge at all and even couldn't help but laugh.

This funny scene also made the surrounding fans smile kindly.

"You're embarrassing me!"

Suk's loud scolding was ignored by Mlinar again.

This guy even imitated the scene in the 'Lion King' animation where an old monkey lifts up young Simba, showing him to the fans, which caused even more laughter.

Suk couldn't resist the other party, and in the end, he could only cover his face, making the fans' laughter even more unrestrained.

These Mostar Wanderers fans liked Suk very much, this little guy who was small in stature but could score goals.

Coach Oripe on the sidelines also looked at Suk with a smile.

In his opinion, although Suk was a trainee who had been eliminated from the youth training program, his talent and ability were enough to support him in landing a real professional stage in the future.

Yes!

Oripe was convinced of this.

After the celebration, the Mostar players returned to their own half, laughing and cheering.

On the other side, the Sarajevo FC players looked gloomy, especially Bazel. The way he looked at Suk seemed to be burning with fire, as if he wanted to eat him.

"You're being targeted!"

Mlinar looked at Suk and teased.

Suk pulled up his slipping socks and re-fixed his shin guards, then turned his head and grinned.

This smile was very confident, as if silently declaring something.

Soon, at the urging of the referee, Sarajevo FC kicked off again.

After taking the lead by one goal, their overall atmosphere and state became even better.

Moreover, with a one-goal lead, they were no longer in such a hurry to attack but instead began to defend steadily.

At the same time, Suk was indeed being targeted by Bazel.

This time, Bazel no longer paid so much attention to Mlinar, but tried his best to keep Suk in check.

Even the moment Suk touched the ball, he quickly started and directly leaned over with his body, using the confrontation to make Suk lose possession of the ball.

But Suk was also very smart. He knew his weaknesses. The difference in stature between the two was too great, and he obviously didn't have the capital to confront him. Therefore, he almost always passed the ball to both sides of the court with one kick, and then quickly turned around, wanting to rely on his flexibility to cut forward.

And this also made Bazel play more and more uncomfortably.

Bazel was a heavy center-back with a strong physique and height advantage, but at the same time, he lost flexibility.

Slow turning was a common problem for this type of center-back, and Suk was playing on this idea.

For the Bosnia and Herzegovina Second League, their tactics are simple. Each position has its own fixed responsibilities and lacks flexibility.

The full-backs will not wipe the center-backs' butts, which ultimately leads to the exposure of the center-backs' slow turning characteristics.

However, Suk was also not feeling well during this process.

The angry Bazel would heavily bump into Suk every time he confronted him, giving him even greater pressure.

Under the huge impact, Suk was also knocked to the ground time and time again, but each time he gritted his teeth and stood up.

Under such pressure, Suk's knees were also scraped, his jersey was stained with green grass, and his arms were even a little red and swollen.

The referee did not call a foul, which was the standard of the Bosnia and Herzegovina league.

The most barbaric league is not just lip service.

Suk could only endure this kind of confrontation to find a chance to score.

At this moment, Mlinar was dribbling the ball forward. He wasn't moving fast, but Sarajevo FC's pressing speed was also slow.

By the time they got close, Mlinar had already passed the ball to Suk.

"Don't even think about turning around!"

Bazel rushed over immediately, and Suk heard the roar from behind.

After stopping the ball, Suk didn't turn around. Instead, with his back to the goal, he took a few steps forward.

Bazel wasn't calm. Seeing Suk's actions, he immediately chased after him, as if wanting to make him suffer even more.

But just as Bazel was about to collide with Suk, the latter passed the ball to the right.

The moment the two collided, Mlinar darted past Suk, picked up the ball, and surged forward, dribbling straight into the penalty area.

Ah~~~!

Suk cried out in pain as Bazel knocked him away.

But this time, Suk didn't just sit and wait to die. Instead, he tightly grabbed Bazel's jersey with his right hand to prevent him from turning around to defend.

"Let go of me!"

Bazel roared angrily, but Suk didn't let go.

When Bazel turned his head again, Mlinar was already making a shooting motion.

"Damn it!"

Bazel's expression turned panicked as he saw Mlinar fiercely strike the ball. The ball arced upwards, flying past the goalkeeper's fingertips and smashing hard into the top of the net on the inside of the goal.

Mostar Wanderers extended their lead again in the 36th minute.

Two goals ahead!

With a two-goal lead, Mostar Wanderers' morale soared, and their attacking pace became even more intense.

For these lower-level players, their discipline isn't that strict, and they can't maintain a stable defense when they have an advantage.

Usually, they try to crush their opponents in one go.

Especially after entering the second half, Bazel had completely lost his ability to contain Suk.

Although this guy was very strong, Suk made him look like a big, clumsy bear. Eventually, Sarajevo FC replaced the poorly performing Bazel.

"I can contain him! Just give me more time."

Bazel was taken off the field, and his face was full of dissatisfaction.

In response, the surrounding teammates and the coach quietly looked at him.

Coach Nesevis sighed and said, "You haven't been able to interfere with him at all. This is football, not wrestling."

Hearing this, Bazel's face suddenly turned red.

"Take a good look at that guy's positioning!"

Bazel turned his head to look. He saw Suk constantly moving left and right in front of the defensive line.

Often, this guy would move from the far left to the far right and always manage to shake off their center-backs' defense, creating a tendency to surge forward.

"This guy..."

Bazel frowned slightly.

Coach Nesevis: "Do you understand now? The little guy's awareness of positioning. He's always able to appear in the most appropriate position at the most appropriate time. Whether it's shooting or passing, his presence makes Mostar Wanderers' attack extremely threatening."

Finally, Coach Nesevis sighed and said, "His reading of the game and positioning are beyond the level of this league. This transcendent awareness makes up for his weak physique and also allows him to score 8 goals in the league. No~~~, now it's 9!"

On the field, Suk was still sprinting.

His head constantly swung left and right to observe the field.

The information gained from the observation formed a bird's-eye view of the positioning in his mind.

He could very clearly see the opponent's defensive layout and the weak points of the defense.

His bright black eyes were constantly flashing with light, making him like an eagle circling in the sky above the field.

This was his greatest reliance and BUG!

[Inzaghi's Awareness]

The ghostly elf on the front line, Inzaghi, is a man who is active on the offside line. His existence has repeatedly tested the defensive lines of many powerful teams.

And awareness provides great help for his positioning.

Inzaghi himself once said that this talent is innate. You either have it, or you don't. It can't be cultivated later.

Therefore, Suk's current state, his vision, and his overall view of the game are absolutely crushing in this game.

"It's now!"

Suk first retreated a few steps, then turned around and sprinted. His sprint was extremely firm, his legs moving quickly as he charged forward with his head down.

He didn't even look at the pass. This was based on trust in Mlinar.

Moreover, the surrounding fans also reacted. Their exaggerated uproar was the best proof.

The ball... is coming!

The moment Suk looked up, he saw the ball appearing above his head. He slowed down slightly, adjusted with small steps, and made a shooting motion to meet the falling ball.

This action also caused Sarajevo FC's center-back to suddenly slide tackle in front of Suk, trying to block him.

But Suk's raised right foot slowly fell, and his instep flicked the falling ball, moving it in the opposite direction and creating an excellent shooting angle.

Adjusting again with his feet, he poked the ball hard with his toes.

The ball quickly shot towards the goal, and the next second, the net rippled.

Suk scored twice, completing another goal, and also killing the suspense of the game!
