Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Day Everything Changed

I was never the type to believe in signs.

Nor in coincidences.

Not even in love stories born from a single glance.

And yet, that day, everything changed.

Because there was you.

It was an ordinary day, one of those grey days no one really notices.

The sky was overcast, the wind blew gently, and I wasn't expecting anything special.

Nothing… until I saw you.

I was walking aimlessly, lost in my thoughts, when my gaze caught you.

A silhouette in the distance.

Simple.

Almost discreet.

And yet, within that simplicity, there was something indescribable… like a silent certainty.

You were there, sitting on that bench, your face turned towards the sky, a soft, absentminded smile playing on your lips, as if you were listening to a secret the world wasn't ready to hear.

Your hair danced with the wind, and each beat of your heart seemed to echo with mine, even though you didn't know I existed.

I stopped, unable to look away.

And then, as if some invisible thread had warned you of my presence, you lowered your gaze.

Your eyes met mine.

It wasn't an ordinary look.

It was… something else.

A silent promise.

A whisper that only my heart could hear.

I had never felt anything like it before.

That delicious weight in the pit of my stomach.

That sweet vertigo that makes your soul tremble.

It was as if, without a word, without a gesture, you had just shaken my entire universe.

I knew nothing about you.

Your name. Your story. Your dreams. Your scars.

And yet, with a single glance, I had the wild certainty that I wanted to know everything.

To learn everything.

To understand everything.

Because it was you.

Because it was me.

And somewhere, even without knowing each other yet, we had already found each other.

I moved forward, almost without realizing it, drawn to you like a moth to a flame.

Each step echoed in my heart like a silent vow.

I wanted to speak to you.

To say something.

Anything.

But in front of you, the words fled, like frightened birds scared of disturbing the fragile beauty of that moment.

So I stayed there, facing you.

Looking at you.

Smiling.

And you, you lowered your eyes slightly, a little shy, as if you too felt that strange shiver binding us already.

Your name — I didn't know it yet.

But in my mind, in my heart, it already resonated with the sweetness of something inevitable.

Grâce.

Grâce…

Your name was a melody I hadn't heard yet, but my soul was already humming it.

And me?

I'm Winner.

The one who, from that moment on, would carry your image deep within him, like a precious secret.

We didn't speak that day.

Not yet.

There was no need.

Fate had already whispered everything.

Only you.

Only me.

Since the very first glance.
