Chapter 6 - New skill dark daserk

Rantaro stood in front of the dungeon entrance, his heart pounding. "This is it," he muttered under his breath. "Let's do this."

---

Scene Shift — A Mysterious Figure

Far away, a figure cloaked in darkness felt a strange aura ripple through the air.

His eyes widened in disbelief. "No... It can't be... him..."

Fear surged through him as he quickly reached out with his power, sending a small portion of his aura to the dungeon.

He closed his eyes, waiting for confirmation.

It's him. I know it is.

---

Scene Shift — Back to Rantaro

The Dark Snake hissed, its massive body coiling around him. Rantaro swung his sword, but it barely left a scratch.

He frowned, his grip tightening. "Okay, this isn't a normal B-rank monster."

The snake lunged at him, moving so fast that he barely dodged. But he still got hit.

A sharp pain shot through his side, and he winced.

This isn't just a regular monster, he thought. It's stronger than the last one…

But even in the face of danger, Rantaro couldn't help but grin. I'm actually enjoying this.

He attacked again and again, his strikes coming faster with each move.

But no matter how many hits he landed, it seemed like the snake didn't even notice.

Then the snake struck back, landing a solid hit. Rantaro felt his bones snap.

Pain overwhelmed him, but he pushed through.

This time, he vanished into the shadows, his movements faster than ever before.

It was like a thousand tiny stings as he attacked, relentless and quick.

The snake couldn't move fast enough, and within moments, it was dead.

Rantaro collapsed, the adrenaline fading as his body gave out.

---

Scene Shift — The Figure Again

The figure in the distance felt something.

His face twisted in fear. "It really is him…"

---

Scene Shift — Rantaro Wakes Up

Rantaro stirred awake. His vision was blurry.

A voice in his head chimed in. "Host, congratulations! You've unlocked Dark Berserk."

He groaned. "Dark Berserk? This power... it's overwhelming. But I can't maintain it for long."

Later that day, Rantaro had a strange thought.

I could sell some of the monster's body for a quick profit.

He did just that, earning 1 million credits.

When he got home, he couldn't help but share the news with his sister.

"I have 1 million in my account," he said nonchalantly.

Xiyau stared at him, wide-eyed. "What? Are you serious?"

Rantaro laughed. "It's real. No joke."

---

Next Morning

Ding-dong!

Xiyau opened the door to find their friend, Jiuji, standing there with a box of pastries.

"Hey, Xiyau! Got some pastries for you and your brother. Where's the lazy one?"

"He's still sleeping," Xiyau replied.

"Well, I'll fix that." Jiuji marched straight to Rantaro's room.

"Hey, wake up! It's already 7!"

Rantaro groaned, barely opening his eyes.

"Five more minutes, Xiyau..."

"It's not Xiyau, it's me!"

Rantaro bolted upright, eyes wide. "Jiuji?!"

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway, I heard you're buying a house?"

"How did you know?"

"Xiyau told me!" Jiuji grinned.

Flashback to Xiyau

"I'll make sure we get the best house!" she said with a thumbs up.

Back to Present

Rantaro blinked. "That's what she meant by thumbs up? She always gets things mixed up."

Jiuji chuckled. "What are you thinking?"

Rantaro sighed. "Nothing. Anyway, there's a house for sale near mine. You should check it out."

"Alright, let's do it."

Scene Shift — After Moving In

Rantaro sat down to check his phone.

"Host, complete your daily task: Kill an A-rank beast."

"Time to get to work," Rantaro said.

He pulled up the details on the dungeon.

"A-ha! An A-rank dungeon! But it says I need proof of defeating a B-rank or higher monster."

He smirked, remembering the monster he didn't sell.

"Good thing I didn't get rid of it."
