Chapter 1 - Prolog

As I walk in the night sky, Negative thoughts run through my head

"Should I keep going."

"Is it even worth trying anymore."

These thoughts keep lingering in my mind. i noticed a park on my way home and decided to sit on the swing. I move lightly, just reminiscing on my past and how much I would change if I could go back.

"I really am pathetic..."

I say to myself as my eyes start to water but I stop myself from crying and continue heading home.

as I enter my apartment complex I get greeted by the security guard.

"How was work miss."

He said with a big smile and handed me green tea.

"Alright."

I accepted it and walked towards the elevator

"Have a good day."

"you too."

I said barely above a whisper, which I doubt he even heard.

"I'm home~"

I hanged my coat on the rack

"Did you miss me mom."

"because I sure miss you..."

I placed the green tea next to a picture on the table. I prepared to cook by cutting beef but I accidently cut my finger which stinged a little. I reach for tissue to cover my finger and clean up. I stared at my bleeding finger, lost in thought just watching the droplets hit the sink, I snapped out of it and covered the wound

after a few hours I laid in bed, scrolling through posts about my old friends on my phone

as the sun glare hits my face I'm forced to get up

"ugh..."

I pulled down the blinds and began my morning routine before heading to work.

"Bye..."

I said to the picture. I reach the lobby and the security greets me again

"Morning miss."

he said with a wide smile makine me wonder to myself how he's even able to have this much energy

"Morning."

I responded

"Have a good day."

he said as cheerful as ever

"You too."

as I walk pass the stores, as I look at the sky wishing I could just fly away from here i hear a faint scream before feeling a sharp pain in my abdomen, I look down to see a knife in my stomach and turned to the man who did it

"W-Why..."

I collapsed to the floor clutching my stomach

"I'm Sorry- I Didn't Mean to- Oh God..."

He said full of regret and guilt before running away

I laid there as bystanders record the scene

"I don't want to die."

my eyes started to water

"I-I Dont..."

as I look at my hand covered in blood, my skin began to feel cold and the world darkened little by little, even though I was dying a part of me felt at peace as I'm forced to be embraced in deaths arms.

it all went black.
