Chapter 1 - 1: A New Life in Holy Soul Village

Chapter 1: A New Life in Holy Soul Village

Ye Feng had never been anything special.

On the Blue Star — the world he once knew — he was just another orphan, living a quiet, lonely life, dreaming of a future that always seemed just out of reach.

But fate, it seemed, had other plans.

The last thing he remembered was the cold feeling of falling asleep, alone under the stars.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself cradled in someone's arms, the warm sunlight blinding him.

Everything felt different — the air, the sounds, even his own body...

No, especially his body. He was tiny, weak, helpless.

"I've been reborn... as a baby?" Ye Feng thought, shock filling his newborn mind.

And not just anywhere. From the words of the villagers around him, he understood — he was now in a place called Holy Soul Village.

The same Holy Soul Village from the world of Douluo Dalu.

At first, life was simple. His new parents were poor but kind.

But this happiness did not last.

When Ye Feng was three years old, tragedy struck.

His father died during a hunting trip, killed by a rampaging soul beast. His mother, already sick for many months, grew weaker day by day.

On her deathbed, she placed a small, worn scroll into Ye Feng's tiny hands — an ancient cultivation method, the secret legacy of her family.

"Feng'er... you must live. You must become strong..." she whispered, before her voice faded forever.

After losing his parents, Ye Feng was taken in by the village chief, Old Jack.

The elderly man was kind-hearted, treating Ye Feng like his own grandson.

Although Old Jack provided warmth and care, he soon noticed something strange about the boy.

Ye Feng never played like the other children.

Instead, even at the age of three, he began training by himself.

He would climb the steep hills behind the village, carry heavy stones, practice strange movements for hours under the sun.

His small hands, which should have been soft and childish, became rough and calloused from hard work.

The villagers shook their heads, saying it was unnatural for a child so young to train like that.

Old Jack worried too.

One evening, as Ye Feng finished dragging a basket of stones up a hill, the old man called him over.

"Feng'er," Old Jack said kindly, resting his hand on Ye Feng's small shoulder, "you're still a child.

You should play with the others. Laugh a little. Live happily while you can."

But Ye Feng only looked at him with those determined, mature eyes and answered,

"I must become a formidable Soul Master! I will protect everyone! I will not be weak!"

Old Jack sighed deeply.

He patted Ye Feng's head, forcing a smile, but inside, worry gnawed at his heart.

This child... he thought.

What if he doesn't awaken a good martial soul? What if he has no soul power? How can I bear to see him disappointed?

Still, he said nothing more.

He only watched Ye Feng continue his lonely training, his heart full of silent hope and fear.

One morning, as the mist still hung over Holy Soul Village, a small boy with clear, intelligent eyes watched Ye Feng from a distance.

It was Tang San — another quiet, hardworking child of the village.

Ye Feng, covered in dirt and sweat, was practicing strange movements near the edge of the fields, punching the air over and over with intense focus.

Tang San tilted his head curiously.

"He's a weird one..." he thought.

Ye Feng noticed him and grinned.

He raised his tiny fist to the sky and shouted, full of childish pride:

"I will become a formidable Soul Master! Stronger than anyone!"

Tang San blinked, surprised by the fierce light in Ye Feng's eyes.

He said nothing, only giving a small, thoughtful smile before walking away — but in his heart, a new sense of respect for the strange boy quietly grew.

And so, in a small, forgotten corner of the Douluo Continent, the gears of fate began to turn.
