Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Humanity's core territory — the Initial Universe!

Above the ancient and majestic Chaos City, wisps of chaotic airflow lingered.

A towering figure emerged from the depths of the chaotic flow. His eyes shone like stars, and he wore an intricate, ancient dark red battle armor. Battle boots clad his feet, and from the back of his battle skirt extended a tail covered in scales.

Simply standing there, he gave the impression of embodying the endless universe itself.

Profound. Vast. Unfathomably powerful.

"Let's begin."

The great being slightly closed his eyes, effortlessly controlling the time and space of Chaos City.

The space-time here bent entirely to his will.

"Hua hua hua~~"

The world trembled, and within the domain he commanded, time began to rewind rapidly!

It was like watching a movie play backward at incredible speed.

Scenes of Chaos City constantly shifted — generations of geniuses and powerhouses arriving and departing. Each figure emitted an aura powerful enough to destroy stars.

"Freeze!"

A figure from a certain era was locked in place.

Time continued to rewind, the background constantly shifting, but the figure remained immobile.

"Freeze!"

Another figure was locked.

"Freeze! Freeze!"

One after another, a thousand figures were selected. Each one stood motionless like a sculpture. They had various appearances, but all radiated terrifying strength.

"Time Reversal."

The rewinding space-time rapidly returned to normal. The backlash of the universe's operation laws battered the towering figure, but he remained immovable.

However, his aura fluctuated — sometimes strong, sometimes weak — as the immense pressure bore down on him.

After a long while, everything calmed. The towering figure disappeared into thin air.

Below, scattered across Chaos City, the thousand frozen figures regained consciousness.

They looked around in astonishment before quickly recalling their memories.

"Didn't I die?"

"I self-destructed after being ambushed by that Ice Fox King of the Demon Race!"

Among the thousand, most were King-level existences of the human race. A few were Marquis-level geniuses with monstrous potential.

"What the hell? Did I transmigrate? Where did I end up?"

In a cluster of King-level beings, a confused youth muttered to himself. His name was Auron.

Moments ago, he had been playing games at home.

He had simply fallen asleep — and now, here he was!

As everyone around discussed animatedly, a bald man wearing a fiery red battle robe walked toward them with a gentle smile.

Just looking at him made Auron instinctively feel peaceful, as if he were merging into the vast starry sky itself.

Everything around Auron seemed to vanish, leaving only this bald man.

"Hm?"

Auron shivered and snapped back to reality.

The others also woke from their trance, and, almost in unison, saluted the bald man respectfully:

"Greetings, Venerable!"

Auron hurriedly imitated their salute, though a strong sense of familiarity stirred in his heart.

Venerable?

The bald man spoke, his voice calm and profound:

"I am Venerable Guiyi. You were all resurrected by my teacher, the great Chaos City Lord, through time reversal."

The bald man's smile was infectious, comforting them at a soul-deep level.

"Next," Venerable Guiyi continued, "you may cultivate within Chaos City, or you can board a spaceship and venture beyond!"

But then his expression hardened, and his smile disappeared:

"Remember — each of you has already died once!"

After delivering his message, Venerable Guiyi turned and left.

The thousand figures remained, whispering among themselves.

Auron walked away from the crowd, his mind racing.

Chaos City Lord. Venerable Guiyi. Time reversal...

Piecing everything together, how could he not realize?

He had transmigrated into the world of Swallowed Star!

Since Venerable Guiyi had mentioned they could stay and cultivate, Auron decided to remain, figure out his identity, and familiarize himself with his powers.

He found an abandoned building, recognized its ownership, and walked inside.

He knew that only King-level Immortals and stronger individuals were worthy of resurrection by time reversal.

Transmigration wasn't necessarily bad.

Becoming a powerhouse in the vast starry sky was simply too amazing!

On the rooftop of the building, Auron sat cross-legged.

Memories began to flow into his mind:

"My name is Caspian. I ranked first in the universe during the genius battle, entered the Primal Secret Realm, chose the 'Nine Universe Chaos Tablet', and after tens of thousands of years of cultivation, created 'Floating Blood', a top-tier secret method.

After becoming an Immortal, I was directly titled Bloodcloth Marquis…"

Caspian's memories engulfed Auron.

So... I transmigrated into Caspian.

A trace of nostalgia and sorrow crossed Auron's eyes.

Caspian had lived less than 100,000 years — short by immortal standards.

Despite spending most of that time in relentless cultivation, Caspian's memories were unimaginably vast compared to Auron's previous decades of life.

Accepting those memories felt like personally living 100,000 years of training, battle, and death.

After a long while, Auron opened his eyes, filled with excitement.

Compared to his previous dull, stressful life as a corporate worker on Earth, this new universe was thrilling beyond imagination!

Moreover, he wasn't starting weak — he had inherited the cultivation, realm, and status of a Marquis-level Immortal.

It was simply too good to be true.

"From now on, I am Caspian!"

Then another thought crossed his mind:

Assets!

Although his body had been resurrected, the treasures Caspian had carried before his fall were lost.

He was now technically penniless.

However, Caspian's points in the Virtual Universe Company and his savings in the universe's super-banks should still exist.

Without hesitation, Auron — now Caspian — connected his consciousness to the Virtual Universe.

Instantly, his figure appeared inside a majestic temple located on Thunder Island.

Thunder Island was a magnificent plane, hosting temples for Immortals and higher beings from the Virtual Universe lineage.

The mountainside of the central mountain range housed Universe Venerables, and the summit was reserved for Universe Lords and Overlords.

Caspian's temple sat near the central range — proof of his once-incredible status.

Inside the temple, he checked his assets.

First, his points:

"About 120,000 points remaining!"

Relieved, he next checked his bank account with the Universe Star River Bank.

0 universe coins.

"Zero???" Caspian nearly screamed.

After investigating, he realized that all his deposited wealth had been legally withdrawn by someone named 'Bai Zhi'.

From Caspian's memories, he quickly pieced together the truth:

Bai Zhi was Caspian's wife!

After Caspian's death, his inheritance naturally passed to his wife and children.

Over countless years, the money had been gradually withdrawn by them.

However, the Virtual Universe Company's points could only be used by the person themselves, so his points remained untouched.

Caspian tried searching for Bai Zhi's virtual number but couldn't find it.

He then looked for his children's numbers — all were gone too.

His friends list had dwindled to just a few dozen contacts; most had canceled their accounts long ago.

Sitting alone in the temple, Caspian sighed.

For the Immortal Gods and above, death was rare.

It might take tens or hundreds of millions of years for even one King-level existence to fall.

Thus, the Chaos City Lord only resurrected fallen warriors in batches, after accumulating many deaths.

In Caspian's case, billions of years had likely passed since his fall.

During such a span, those who failed to achieve immortality would have completely perished — even their ashes gone with time.

Naturally, his wife and children had long since vanished.

In the universe, blood relations were fragile.

Master-disciple bonds, however, endured for eternity.

Auron — no, Caspian — turned his thoughts to his master.

From memory, Caspian remembered being accepted as a disciple by an ancient and powerful Universe Country Lord after winning first place in the genius battle.

Upon becoming a World Lord, he had even received the treasure Hanxing Sword from his teacher.

Sadly, that treasure was lost during his fall.

Still, as long as his master lived, Caspian could rise again!

Eagerly, Caspian opened his address book and found the entry marked 'Teacher.'

He tried to contact him — but no connection could be made.

His expression stiffened:

"My teacher... has fallen too?"
