Chapter 4 - Chapter 4:- Meeting the wives

In the blink of an eye, Kaito awoke to find himself lying in a bed. The room around him was far from luxurious—old, worn walls and a large window letting in the faint light of the day. Yet, despite its age, the room was impeccably clean, not a speck of dust in sight.

Where am I? he wondered, his mind still foggy as he slowly sat up, the unfamiliar surroundings making him feel disoriented.

Before he could process much, a soft knock echoed at the door, followed by a gentle voice,"May we enter the room?"

Kaito hesitated for only a moment, then, gathering his thoughts, he spoke in a firm tone,"Enter."

Five beautiful women glided into the room, their movements graceful and poised. Without a word, they knelt before him, each one lowering her head in reverence. Together, they spoke in perfect unison,"We greet His Majesty."

Kaito felt his heart skip a beat, a slight blush creeping onto his face as he gazed at the five stunning women kneeling before him. His mind scrambled to make sense of the situation.

After a brief pause, he cleared his throat, trying to sound composed,"Raise your heads."

At his command, they all lifted their heads at once, their movements synchronized as though practiced for years. Despite the surreal nature of the moment, Kaito pressed on, asking the question that burned in his mind,"Who are you?"

The woman in the center, with striking blue hair that shimmered in the light and eyes as clear as the sky, answered gently,"We are your wives, Your Majesty."

A strange, awkward smile crossed Kaito's face. He realized something important then—he wasn't in his original body. The body he now occupied was younger, more muscular, yet still lean and flexible. It felt different, stronger in some ways, but unfamiliar.

Kaito's thoughts were interrupted as he turned his attention back to the women."Who am I, and where are we?" he asked, his voice steady despite the confusion swirling in his mind.

The woman in the center spoke again, her voice gentle but clear,"We are in the Grimveil Palace, and you are the sole heir of the Rowan Grimveil family."

Kaito frowned, uncertainty creeping into his mind."Sole heir?" he echoed. "What do you mean?"

The woman's expression softened, and she replied with a hint of sadness,"One month ago, your father passed away from a rare illness, and your mother died giving birth to you."

A twinge of sorrow stirred in Kaito, but it didn't fully settle. He had no memories of his parents, no faces to mourn. The news felt distant, like something that belonged to someone else.

He quickly moved on, his curiosity pushing him forward."Who are you? I know you're my wives, but tell me your names."

The woman in the center hesitated for a brief moment, as though weighing her words. Then, with a quiet, almost sorrowful tone, she replied,"We were born to serve you. We have no family… and no names."

Kaito's brow furrowed at her words, his gaze softening. Without missing a beat, he spoke with surprising conviction,"If you have no names, I shall give you one."

After a moment of thought, Kaito finally spoke, his voice calm but deliberate. He turned to the woman on his far left, with golden hair and black eyes, and said,"You shall be named Elysia."

He moved on to the next woman, her red hair bright against the pale light, her black eyes soft and focused."Selena," he said, naming her with a quiet certainty.

The woman in the center, with striking blue hair and eyes that shimmered like the sky, was simply named,"Iris."

Kaito then turned his gaze to the woman with green hair and warm brown eyes."Olivia," he said, the name coming to him without hesitation.

Finally, he looked to the woman on the far right, whose white hair shone like moonlight and whose brown eyes were gentle yet strong."Lily," he spoke softly, the name feeling just right.

The moment each name was spoken, the faces of his wives seemed to light up, their expressions glowing with gratitude and warmth. They all smiled, their eyes bright with newfound joy.

Kaito's face brightened slightly as he stood up from the bed, his movements smooth and purposeful."Shall we get to work?" he asked, his voice filled with a quiet determination.
