Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Nanare's POV

"Oh my god!"

"Oh no!"

"It looks terrifying!"

"I don't know what Mhesha is going to do to me!"

I squeezed my eyes shut, my hands covering my face as I tried to block out the sharp gazes of the spoiled brats in Mhesha's class. Mhesha stood confidently in front of the smartboard, grinning wickedly.

"Hey, aren't you my new slave?" she murmured under her breath, just loud enough for me to hear.

"Yes, I am," I replied, reluctantly pulling my hands away from my face.

"Good," she said, her smile almost too sweet. She turned to face the class, her gaze sweeping over the room of wealthy girls, all of them looking at me with disdain. This room felt like an exclusive domain for the elite.

"Don't think too much about it. I won't take long. Just follow me!" Mhesha added, her tone still sugary sweet, though her eyes gleamed with malice. She grabbed my arm and yanked me out of the classroom.

We entered a vast hall, the walls glimmering with gemstones that screamed wealth, the kind that could never be attained by someone like me. The opulence of it all left me in awe and fear at the same time.

She led me up to the stage, tapping something on a flat screen. The moment she did, the screen lit up, casting an eerie glow.

Mhesha's smile stretched wider, her eyes glinting with amusement. She pulled out a set of markers and coloring pens. I had no idea what she intended to do, but I was certain it wouldn't end well for me.

"I think it's time for a little bullying," she said with a wicked grin, her words dripping with delight.

"Why does she do this?" I thought to myself. "Is it because her mother owns this entire place? Or because of Twinkle's death? This is all so unfair!"

I barely heard the murmurs from the girls around me as Mhesha raised the marker to my face.

"Alisha, what was our last topic in chemistry?" Mhesha asked, as if nothing unusual was happening.

"Fleming's Right-Hand Rule," Alisha answered, eager to be part of whatever Mhesha had planned.

"Right," Mhesha replied with a satisfied nod, before starting to draw all over my face.

I couldn't believe what was happening. Phones were whipped out, capturing every moment of my humiliation.

"Wow, I wish my handwriting was as pretty as Mhesha's!" someone muttered.

"So beautiful!" Alisha added, her voice filled with admiration.

"Juice!" Mhesha announced suddenly, her voice full of excitement. "I need juice to initiate my new slave into Daniels Royalty High!"

"Are you sure it's juice you want, or powdered milk?" Natasha strutted into the hall, wearing a skimpy skirt and a long jacket, her anklets jingling with every step.

"Anything!" Mhesha snapped, clearly uninterested in Natasha's antics.

"I got it!" Alisha said, stepping forward with a bucket of juice. Without hesitation, she poured the entire contents over my head.

"Everyone, start!" Mhesha's voice rang out into the microphone, her tone sugary sweet but laced with venom.

Before I could even react, I felt various substances splashing over my body:

Powdered milk

Juice

Sausage rolls

Cake

Red oil

Ground pepper

Water

I couldn't open my eyes—everything burned, and my lips trembled as the world around me blurred into chaos. The coldness of it all left me feeling numb and humiliated.

"That's enough!" Mhesha finally said, stepping down from the stage as if she were done with her little show.

But before I could gather myself, a stern voice rang out, cutting through the laughter and chatter.

"What is going on here, Mhesha?"

I managed to open my eyes just enough to see who had spoken, but everything was a blur.

"How can the daughter of Emily Daniels treat someone like this?" the voice demanded, its tone filled with authority.

"Educator," Mhesha shot back with a sneer. "She's my slave, not my maid. I paid 9.8 billion for her, so don't tell me how to handle her."

"Or else, I'll call Bliss or Emily Daniels, and you'll be out of a job," Mhesha added with a smirk.

The educator fell silent, clearly too intimidated to argue.

Mhesha turned back to me with a satisfied smile. "Nanare, over here!" she called, her voice cutting through the air like a whip.

All eyes turned to me as I forced myself to stand, still dizzy from the ordeal. I staggered over to her, my clothes soaked and stained.

"I wish bullying would come to an end at Daniels Royalty High," I heard the educator mutter under their breath, watching helplessly as Mhesha dragged me out of the hall.

Mhesha kept a firm grip on my arm, pulling me through the halls, her footsteps echoing in the silence. She stopped at the top of the stairs and turned to me.

"Stay here. Don't move. Understand?" Mhesha ordered, her voice icy.

I barely had time to process her words before she left, her footsteps fading away.

I stood there, waiting, but as the minutes ticked by, I began to grow restless. Where was Nanara? She was supposed to come back and help me.

After what felt like an eternity, I couldn't take it any longer. I stepped out of the room, hoping to find her, but there was no sign of her anywhere.

"Nara!" I called, my voice breaking through the silence, but there was no response.

I moved deeper into the building, my heart pounding in my chest. Every part of me screamed to run, but I couldn't leave without finding her.

As I turned to retrace my steps, I saw something—or rather, someone—coming toward me.

It was him. The one Mhesha always held that picture of. The one she kissed and bragged about.

I froze, panic rising within me. I had to get away.

I rushed to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. I cursed under my breath, realizing that I had run straight into him.
