Chapter 7 - chapter 7

[Location: Avengers Tower]

The Avengers were sitting at a table after locking me in a magic bubble that canceled my magic.

Fury walked in with Natasha behind him. He had two files in his hands and placed them down in front of the other Avengers.

Iron Man looked at the files with curiosity. "What's this?"

Fury replied, "I've looked into Rimuru, and these files contain what I think he did. He doesn't exist in any system. No hospital knows a name called Rimuru. He's like a ghost."

Tony picked up the file and looked through it. He saw the people I had killed: the four SHIELD agents and the old men purifiers.

Tony asked, "Why does this file keep calling this kid 'him'?"

Fury looked at Tony with a calm expression. "Because that's his gender."

Tony's eyes widened as he looked at my knocked-out body in shock. "You gotta be kidding. He looks like a girl."

Fury turned back to the others. "He killed the SHIELD agents during a mission. I sent Agent Romanoff to retrieve him because he killed a purifier."

The Avengers looked at Fury as he explained what I had done.

Captain America: "What's the plan, Fury? Are you going to send him to jail? I don't get why you brought him here."

Fury looked at Captain America. "Simple. I'm going to recruit him."

Captain America stood up immediately. "I respect you, Fury, but we don't bring killers into our ranks."

Fury remained calm and collected. "I know. But when I say 'recruit,' I don't mean to make him an Avenger. I mean as an agent."

The rest of the Avengers looked at Fury in surprise.

Tony: "Are you fucking serious, Nick? Didn't this guy kill your agents, a purifier, and an octopus without hesitation?"

Fury: "He did what he had to do. Those agents... call it the cost of securing a real asset."

Fury continued: "Look, the bottom line is, he's not a monster. He's someone who does what needs to be done, even if it's not pretty. I can use that."

Captain America, looking displeased but holding his ground: "People's lives aren't currency, Fury."

Iron Man, looking at the others with a frown: "I guess we all have a price. Just don't expect me to cover for him."

Black Widow, her expression neutral: "Sometimes, people are the price. I've been on both sides of that."

Thor, his voice firm: "Using others as payment... this feels wrong."

Hawkeye, sitting back in his chair: "Sometimes, you gotta make hard choices to keep the mission alive."

Bruce Banner, rubbing his temples: "I don't think that's the right way, but I understand the need to protect."

Spider-Man, his tone thoughtful: "There's gotta be a better way, right?"

Fury, calm and unfazed: "I wasn't really asking, but his ideals aren't to kill innocents. He protects them by taking down those who deserve it. Right, Spider-Man?"

Peter, looking down, reluctantly nodding: "Yeah, he did say that... but I still don't agree with those ideals."

Fury ignored him and turned to Wanda. "Wake him up."

Wanda used her magic and woke me up. My red eyes opened abruptly, looking around in surprise. I looked at them. "How did I get here? Where am I?"

Fury stepped forward. "Rimuru Tempest. My name is Nick Fury. I'm the leader of SHIELD, and I'm here to give you a proposal."

I looked at Fury calmly, my dark red eyes scanning the room. I saw the other Avengers and Peter. My eyes lingered on him for a second before I turned to Fury. "And what's your proposal, Fury?"

Fury: "I want you to join my agency. I see potential in you. You're the ideal candidate with mine."

I thought for a moment. Joining him wouldn't be bad, since he's not against killing those who need to die.

I sighed and looked up at him. "Fine. I'll work for you."

Fury nodded. "Good." He turned to Wanda, and she removed the magic bubble.

Raphael, a voice in my head, asked: "Do you want me to find a way to counter your ultimate skills being sealed?"

In my mind, I answered, "Yes. Wanda's chaos magic is something else."

Captain America stepped forward and looked at me seriously. "If I find out you kill innocent people, I will put you in jail." He walked out.

Tony followed him. "Good luck, femboy," and the other Avengers walked out. Peter was the last. He didn't say anything; he just looked at me and left.

It was understandable why he was upset. He watched me kill Octopus, his former master. I turned to the two who were left in the room: Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Fury: "Welcome to SHIELD, then, Agent Rimuru Tempest."

Time Skip: 3 Days Later

I was flying on top of a white private jet, wearing a black tactical suit and a cloak with white moons around it.

My red eyes looked down at the private jet. I pressed my earpiece. "I'm on top. You said you wanted a chip, right?"

Fury's voice answered, "Yes, it carries classified government details. I don't want anyone alive on that jet."

I dove down at high speed and summoned my katana, cutting through the jet with ease. I saw people in black suits fall. My eyes fell on a man in a grey suit holding a suitcase that was chained to him. I rushed at him, cutting off his hand and taking the case without him even blinking. I watched them fall.

My eyes shifted to a woman, a flight attendant. I pressed my earpiece. "There's a flight attendant here, Fury."

Fury replied in my ear, "That's a problem. Save her and make sure she doesn't say a word about what happened here."

I dove down, caught the lady, who was by then knocked out, and flew her back to Hydra.

I arrived and gave the lady to an agent, who took her away. I walked to Nick's office and handed him the suitcase.

He looked at it and nodded. "Good, but couldn't you have removed the hand first?"

I shrugged. "You wanted the suitcase, here it is."

Nick didn't respond. He handed me a file. "Spider-Man is in trouble. Go help him."

My eyes widened, and I took the file and walked out.
