Chapter 1 - Once More, In A World Full Of My Disgusting Kind

It was an ominous and somber feeling; just witnessing it would make any human tremble in fear.

They say, "murder is the worst sin." Most who witness such a gruesome thing usually get distraught, their brain overloads and repeats the events over and over, forcing them to relive the events until they finally understand.

But this man didn't, he didn't shudder a single flinch of fear, nor did he show any amount of joy. It was as if his reasoning was meaningless yet seemed right to him, and he'd gladly do it a thousand times over.

In his mind, as long as the problem was gone, it did not matter how or when he rid himself of the issue, just as long as it was removed, by any means necessary.

He named himself "the human punisher", and after a short month, he had done what he thought was right, believing every child, adult, good or bad human to be an impending end to the planet he loved so dear.

He caused human extinction, and from then on, he would no longer have a name for any to remember, so from then on, he would be known as "blank."

Now, just the day after committing his unholy deeds, he rests in an abandoned castle-like building, rubble around him everywhere, a dim light beaming onto him, as he remains on a stolen throne.

His empty ruby eyes gazed downward coldly from his stolen throne, looking upon the bloody stairs he climbed just a few hours ago, his face resting on his palm. His hair is semi-long, smooth, and slightly spiky at the ends, extending to the nape of his neck, giving it a disheveled appearance.

His body is fit, yet bearing not much muscle, not something you'd expect from humanity's destroyer, his baggy joggers and shirt void colored just like his ruffled hair. Wrapped around his body, he wears a dusty-hued cloak that falls to the floor, gently blowing in the still air.

His empty hand dangles from his resting knee, lightly gripping a bloody grey stoned hammer, and finally a mask the tightly is strapped to the side of his head, its top left corner of the mask chipped off, so if he was to wear it, it would reveal his left eye, the mask teeth was gritted and looked as if chipped from bone itself.

"Finally, I can have eternal peace without anyone to curse this beautiful world, I'm willing to spend the rest of my time in such peace that no one can understand." Blank sighs, staring down at his hammer, his head resting on his other palm.

"You seem strong," A light female voice echoed in the building loudly.

Blank's eyes widen in a horrifying shock, being under the impression that no one was left alive in the world he made but himself.

"Who's there?" Blank asks in a calm demeanor, ruffling his hair as he does, gripping tighter on his bloody hammer.

"Relax, relax, I can feel your bloodlust from all the way down here." The girl's voice grows closer, as she waves her hand in the air, giggling jokingly as she begins stepping up the stairs, getting into view.

"So, how would you like to start over?"

She offers out a hand. Blank can't see her figure, but can easily tell she is staring at him with no murderous intent.

Blanks steps up from his throne, standing at the top of the stairs to get a clearer view, his stare more daring and fiercer than ever.

"What exactly are you talking abou..."

His words stop as he freezes in a terrifying shock.

The girl he is currently looking at is shaped like a slender woman with shiny hair that trails all the way down her back, but it's all glowing, empty white; her figure, eyes, face, hair, limbs, and body are all pure white.

"Who are you? Speak your words carefully, I'd gladly kill another person if need be."

He points his hammer down towards her, looking down the stairs as her head looks up at him, the light emanating from the ceiling beginning to spread wider over Blank's body.

"My name is Angela, I've come here with an offer from the god of this world."

Her hand still reaching towards him, her palm open, and what seemed to be wings popping out of her back elegantly, feathers dropping from them as if raining behind her.

"God of this world? An offer?" He thinks to himself in disbelief.

"Would you be willing to hear me out? You may never get an opportunity like this again."

She asks in such a polite and gentle way, it was an eerie feeling of the unknown.

Blank holds his chin, looking upward, thinking before his answer.

"Climb up these stairs and talk to me, I'll give you my time, considering I have my entire lifespan to spare."

Just as requested, Angela walked up the blood-soaked stairs that were currently surrounded by rubble left after the heat of battle, each step echoing louder than the last, feathers dropping behind her like soft hail until she finally was face to face with Blank.

"So let's hear it, I may have all the time I could ask for, but I'm a very impatient person, I prefer efficiency over quality."

He demands that this message be quick, keeping a calm composure as he sits back onto his phone, resting his chin on the palm of his hand, glaring at her with an icy stare.

"Jeez, you are impatient."

She giggles before sitting down on a blood-splattered rock and wrapping one leg over the other.

"I'll get to it then, basically, we want to send you to a new world."

The outline of her lips shows as she smiles, her claim wild yet her voice excited.

"What do you mean?"

His eyes widen, staring at her in curiosity, eager for what's next, his words carefully traced.

"A world full of powers such as your own! A world full of other races, like demi-humans and other creatures! A beautiful world where both war and peace exist!"

Angela exclaims this loudly as it echoes in the empty cathedral-like place, her arms raising in excitement.

"And finally..." She points towards Blank.

"A world where you can have a fresh start, no one will know about what you've done today or what you've done in the past, doesn't this sound just so exciting?"

She speaks so happily and joyfully about such a thing, as if it would redeem what he's done within this past month.

Blank sits on his throne with an agitated glare.

"I love this world, my sole purpose was to make this world more beautiful, taking me to another world would be meaningless."

Blank speaks in such spite, paying attention to every exact word that spilled so intensely from her mouth.

"But yet if I told you this world I'm talking about is just as- no, even more beautiful, even with the existence of humankind, would you believe me?"

She now changes her tone to more of a sly bargaining tone, her smile shrinking to a smirk.

"Can such a world exist, after all, my disgusting kind inhabits part of it, wouldn't that mean beauty doesn't exist in that world?"

He now presents counterarguments, refusing to accept such a place where the world and humans can mix.

"But just remember, there are other demi-humans and non-human creatures there that are just as, if not more, intelligent to keep them in check."

She brings up this point, in an exciting way of speech, looking as if she can bring hope to this world.

But it seems to be going nowhere, his deadly expression says everything, this man won't leave without a reason that's better than his existence.

"How about this..." She trails off, standing above him and staring down, holding a finger up with a bright smile.

"One year, you spend a year on this planet you're so dreading, if you don't like it, you can be sent back to earth, but if you come to love this planet, you will stay on it."

This appeared to be an interesting deal, as Blank's eyes began to show a spark of light, his pupils dilating in a much friendlier way, now looking up at her.

"One year, to decide whether I can love another world or not?"

He reconfirms in a softer way of speaking.

"Exactly, so are you interested now? If so, just grab my hand."

She shouts abruptly, holding her hand out, speaking so seriously, yet the excited expression on her face can't be hidden.

"I promise you can patch over that pain and start a new life, just grab my hand."

She begins goofily waving it in his face, the glow growing thicker on her white ambient figure.

"In that case, just before I leave, I will say this."

He says, beginning to widen a soft smile like a child, arising from his throne.

"I swear from now on, I will not kill another person."

He grabs onto her hand, a beaming light from the ceiling emerging and surrounding the two, the space glowing to a pitch white, with the girl's figure fading into it.

"Good luck, I'll see you in a year!" She yells out, her voice echoing and fading as he seems to be getting transported.

It was that moment I realised this journey wasn't about starting over or repenting for my sins.

It was about learning to love my disgusting kind once more, and learn to love a place where the world and humans can coexist.
