As she returned to her room,she remembered her family and she couldn't shake the feeling that her absence was starting to raise concerns back home.
She thought about her family, her parents, and the ball that was right around the corner. Her mother would be frantic with worry, and her father would be displeased.
Lena appeared in her doorway, her expression serious. "Anya, we need to discuss the family's situation. Your absence must have been noticed by now and knowing them it won't be good ."
Anya nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. "I know. They will be worried sick."
Lena's eyes locked onto hers. "I'll speak with Julian , We'll need find a way to contact them soon. To at least ease their worries ."
Anya's thoughts drifted to the ball, and she wondered if she'd be able to attend. Would her family understand her situation?
