Chapter 129 - The War of Ruin

The battlefield stretched across a shattered wasteland — smoking ruins, broken towers, and blood-red skies.

At the center, Kaela, Arin, and Chris Redfield stood like a defiant wall, the battered Genesis Core secured behind their lines. Chris's elite soldiers, clad in advanced black armor, crouched behind barriers, machine guns and railguns ready, helicopters circling above like hawks.

And then — chaos broke loose.

From all sides, the world's factions came charging.

The Faction Commanders Entered:

Carter Vane of the Black Fang Syndicate led a wave of cyber-mercenaries, drones buzzing like angry hornets around him. His glowing red cyber-eye scanned the battlefield as he drew his plasma pistol, smirking arrogantly.

Selene Ward of the Iron Circle marched like a moving fortress, her black titanium exo-suit cracking the earth with each step, blue energy pulsing violently.

Dorian Kestrel, cloaked in shadow, phased in and out of reality with his plague doctor mask, moving unseen, unseen death waiting.

Lucia Voss, the monstrous bioweapon cultist, led a horde of mutated, twitching followers, her arms of living flesh blooming into deadly claws.

Each commander wanted the Genesis Core. Each commander would kill anyone in their way — even each other.

But then...

The ground trembled.

A deep, endless roar shattered the sky.

From the blackest parts of the battlefield, they came —

The Hollowborn Elites.

Maulborn Ravager: A four-armed titan made of molten bone and iron, wielding giant weapon-arms. His steps cracked the world.

Wraithcoil Siren: A floating, ethereal terror, her cracked porcelain mask hiding her face, her song warping the minds of men.

Hollowbeast Grendel: A hulking beast covered in dark fur and chains, six glowing eyes burning with madness.

Abyss Knight Erevan: A corrupted knight whose sword bled living shadows, summoning Hollowborn spawn with every slash.

They didn't care who stood before them.

Faction, human, monster — it didn't matter.

They attacked everything.

The Battlefield Became a Slaughterhouse.

Carter Vane cursed as Maulborn Ravager smashed through his drones like toys, his plasma pistol barely scorching the beast's hide.

Selene Ward activated Siegebreaker Mode, turning her into an unstoppable juggernaut, charging straight at Hollowbeast Grendel, exchanging earth-shattering blows.

Dorian Kestrel tried to phase away — but Wraithcoil Siren's song froze his mind momentarily, making even the shadows betray him.

Lucia Voss screamed in ecstasy as her body mutated uncontrollably, facing Abyss Knight Erevan in a twisted ballet of death and corruption.

Kaela and Arin fought desperately.

Even with Chris's elite soldiers and heavy artillery, it felt hopeless.

Missiles, railgun shots, and energy blades barely slowed the Hollowborn.

Kaela's body shook. Arin's breathing was ragged.

They weren't strong enough.

Not yet.

Chris Redfield, battle-scarred and grim, roared orders.

"Hold the line! Don't let those monsters touch the Core!"

Helicopters unleashed a rain of missiles. Heavy walkers pounded the battlefield with artillery. Snipers picked off corrupted cultists.

But the Hollowborn kept coming.

And then —

Chris himself charged into the chaos, railgun slung over his back, magnum blazing in his hands.

Old warrior versus ancient monsters.

At the highest point of the broken battlefield...

A figure watched:

Veyra.

Once known as Riven, now reborn into something cruel and regal. Her once bright eyes now glowed with malevolent silver, a fallen queen among monsters.

She smiled coldly.

"You will all burn in the final dawn."

With a simple gesture, she called more Hollowborn from the edges of reality — hundreds — swarming toward the battleground.

The war had only begun.

No one — not humans, not commanders, not Hollowborn — would escape unscathed.
