Chapter 5 - Trouble Makers

The Saturday morning sun shine softly through the big windows of Kavi's nicely decorated apartment, filling the rooms with a warm golden light.

His modern living room, with its stylish furniture and colorful art pieces, blended smoothly into the open kitchen and dining space. His mini art studio filled with half-finished paintings and scattered brush sat quietly in the corner.

He walked slowly across the cold marble floor, wearing only his boxer. His messy hair was sticking around his head, he let out a big yawn and stretched his arms as he headed to the kitchen. Soon, the smell of fresh coffee filled the air as the coffee machine started working.

Kavi, still half-asleep, decided one coffee just wasn't going to cut it today. He brewed two different flavors — caramel in one mug and hazelnut in the other.

Balancing both mugs in his hands, he sipped from one, then the other, savoring the sweet buttery warmth of the caramel and the rich nutty hit of the hazelnut.

He leaned against the kitchen cabinet,

"Perfect," he mumbled to himself, feeling a little more alive with every sip.

Saturdays for Kavi and his friends were all about having fun. It had become a kind of ritual in their friend group to come over to Kavi's apartment and spend the entire day together.

He finished his coffee and grabbed his phone, absentmindedly scrolling through food delivery apps, searching for the perfect menu to satisfy his "troublemakers," as he fondly called them.

He smirked to himself as he bookmarked a few options. pizzas, dumplings, and of course, lots of desserts. They better appreciate this, he thought, chuckling under his breath. Then he disappeared into his room to freshen up.

*Beep beep beep*

The door to Kavi's apartment swung open , unlocked as usual and the trio barged in. Pinky, Alina, and Roy, snooping around like it was their second home.

In the kitchen, they immediately spotted two unwashed coffee mugs sitting by the sink, and their curiosity went wild.

Pinky, with her sharp tongue and vibrant pink hair, was the first to speak up.

"Looks like someone's been keeping secrets," she said with a sly grin. "Did Kavi have a sleepover? Who's the mystery guest?"

Alina and Roy exchanged wide-eyed glances, their minds already jumping to scandalous conclusions.

"Where is that Oberoi bastard?" Pinky lamented dramatically as they stormed toward his room.

Inside, Kavi was sprawled lazily on his bed, scrolling through reels on his phone. He knew they had arrived but didn't even flinch, not until Pinky hurled a pillow straight at him.

Pinky wasted no time getting to the point. "Spill the beans, Kavi. Who's the girl you've been hiding from us?"

Kavi blinked at her, utterly confused. "What girl? I don't know what you're talking about."

Alina folded her arms. "Don't play dumb, Kavi. We saw two coffee cups in the kitchen. Who were you cozying up with?"

Pinky smirked, plopping herself onto Kavi's lap and facing him with both hands on his shoulders.

Kavi let out a dramatic sigh. "You people must be starving for gossip to think I brought a girl home. I'm single to stupor clearly, no girl wants me!"

Pinky scoffed in disbelief. "Girls want you, idiot! You're just too blind to see them throwing themselves at you. You're the reason you're still a virgin boy!" she said, shaking her head.

"As for me," Pinky continued, pouting dramatically, "I've been celibate for too long. This celibacy journey is killing me."

Kavi laughed and pushed her off his lap onto the bed.

"Pinky, leave me alone. You have Roy here, if you're that desperate, maybe pay him to play with you. Trust me, he's good in bed," Kavi teased, earning a pillow smack from Pinky.

Pinky made a gagging noise while Roy shot Kavi a mock-offended look.

"God forbid! She's not for me, and I'm not for her," Roy said with a grin. "Even if you pay me millions , no way. Never happening."

The room erupted into loud, chaotic laughter, exactly like it always did when the four of them were together.

The door bell rang, cutting through the chatter and laughter.

"That must be the food" Roy announced, springing up from the bed like a kid on a Diwali morning.

They all scrambled toward the front door, half tripping over each other . Kavi laughed, tossing the keys at Roy who fumbled them but managed to open the door.

The delivery guy handed over several large bags, the smell of pizza, dumplings, and sugary desserts instantly filling the air. They thanked him, almost too eagerly, and brought the food to the dining table, spreading everything out like they were preparing for a feast.

Plates and drinks were quickly sorted, and soon enough, they all collapsed onto the couches in front of the giant TV in Kavi's living room. Roy grabbed the remote, Alina picked a movie, and Pinky made sure everyone had enough to eat, even if she mostly bullied Kavi into taking extra slices.

The movie played on, but Kavi wasn't exactly focused. His phone buzzed softly against his thigh, and he glanced at it.
