Chapter 3 - Chapter One - My Master is a Little Girl?

Edmund Ashford POV

The realm of Avalon is timeless, I am not sure how long it's been since...since I left her and everything else behind.

Despite the peace this land granted, I didn't feel it not in the slightest.

When you end up dying more than a million times over your mind tends to have something broken in it.

Or in other words not having to face down death straight in the face for so long has left me unable to truly enjoy the healing of rest.

Today however something felt off, it started off as a faint tug on my chest but then it soon turned into a strong pull that was literally trying to rip me out from this land.

"This...this isn't possible I am not even in the throne of heros?!" I exclaimed as my mind began to flood with information while my body quickly started disappearing.

I open my mouth to call out Vivian but paused when I heard a voice cry out.

"Somebody! Anyone please save me," I let out a sigh at that "curse my kind heart," I muttered looking up at the sky "fine I'll answer your call," the last of me disappears away.

Illyasviel Von Einzbern POV

Grandfather was furious that I hadn't chosen to summon Herakles and in punishment sent me out of the Einzbern territory to survive in the wild until he deemed me worthy to return back.

It was cold, so very cold.

The wind made my body shake, the snow falling on me felt like it was turning me into a human popsicle.

Mother....father why did you have to leave me.

I hate you for taking her away from me father, I hate you for choosing that stupid boy over me your real daughter.

I'll survive this hell and have my revenge before my time in this world comes to an end.

-GROWL!!-

Fearfully I glanced up spotting a pack of wolves slowly walking around me ready to pounce I screamed in fear as they all attacked.

No.

No, no I don't want to die here yet.

Not when I still have to achieve my goal.

Somebody?! Anybody please save me! I mentally screamed as my magic circuits unknowingly flipped on while the command spells on my body flared up.

The wolves hesitated snarling and shielding their eyes from the sudden glow.

Then with a sound like shattering glass, he appeared.

A man stood before me.

No...not just any man.

He was tall, taller than anyone I had ever seen before and cloaked in a heavy black mantle that fluttered like dark wings in the storm.

Fur that was pure and white like freshly fallen snow crowned his shoulders contrasting the deep black of his robes.

On his left arm was a piece of black and gray armor that stretched down to his gloved hand.

While in his right hand there was a long sword unsheathed.

His face was sharp regal in a way that almost reminded me of the kings from old stories yet rough around the edges. His eyes were a type of dark grey steel that seemed so empty yet deep beneath them I caught a glimpse of something else a sadness so deep it made my chest tighten.

His hair was messy black as the night sky falling slightly over his forehead with a few rebellious strands catching the wind.

For a moment the wolves froze.

And then he moved.

Quicker than my eyes could track he cut through the pack with his sword

Steel flashed.

Blood sprayed across the snow.

Snarls turned to whimpers, then to silence.

In the span of a few heartbeats it was over, he sheathed his sword and turned around to face me before he paused "you've got to be kidding me my master is a little girl?!" he exclaimed with a look of disbelief.

"Hey I am not a little girl?!" I shouted with a pout stomping my foot despite the snow sinking me further down.

The man blinked "are you sure about that, because you clearly look like one," he said scanning me up and down with an almost exaggerated squint.

I puffed out my cheeks in pure indignation "I-I'm eighteen!" I snapped "it's not my fault I'm like this!"

He snorted "eighteen, huh? Sure, and I'm the Tooth Fairy," he said with a cocky smirk that made me want to throw something at him.

"I'm serious!" I yelled, fists clenched, ignoring the way my teeth chattered in the cold "my body was modified! My grandfather did—" I stopped myself my breath hitching as the pain of that truth slammed into me again.

His teasing faded just slightly, his eyes narrowing with something unreadable.

"...Tch sounds like you got a raw deal, squirt," he muttered ruffling my hair like I was a damn puppy.

I batted his hand away feeling a bit flustered "stop that servant! I'm your Master and you will treat me as such."

He just laughed, the deep, rumbling kind of laugh that made it very clear he didn't take me seriously at all.

"Right, right, 'Master," he said it in the most mocking tone possible even giving a little theatrical bow like a court jester "forgive me, O' Mighty Snow Princess for I did not know any better."

I was about to scream at him again when he suddenly straightened his cloak settling around him like the wings of a great bird.

"But fine," he said voice dropping into something more serious "you're my Master that means you're my responsibility now."

I blinked startled at the sudden shift.

He crouched down to my eye level, smirking again but there was a warmth behind it now."so first order of business," he said, tapping me lightly on the forehead with one gloved finger before reaching and removing his cloak "let's get your wrapped up otherwise you'll end up getting sick," he continued wrapping the cloak around me tightly like a blanket.

It felt so warm and secure that I almost melted right into it.

I let out a startled yelp when he lifted me into his arms, cradling me against his chest with an ease that made me feel...safe.

His arms were strong, steady, and for the first time in what felt like forever the cold didn't feel so unbearable.

"You got a place you call home around here, squirt?" he asked casually, starting to walk without even seeming bothered by the snow or the biting wind.

I blinked burying my face a little into his chest to shield myself from the cold air "the Einzbern Castle...it's north from here hidden deep in the forest," I said quietly then hesitated before adding, " but...my grandfather's there he probably won't be happy to see us since I was planning on summoning a servant randomly instead of using a catalyst to summon the greatest hero of Greece Herakles."

My servant let out a chuckle "if your grandfather has problems I am sure I can...persuade him although I won't claim to be strong like Herakles, I can however assure you of this master, that together you and I are going to fuck up all the bitches in this war."

Before I can open my mouth again he crouched slightly and then took off sprinting across the snowy wasteland like a bullet.

"Wha—!?" I gasped, clutching onto him as the world became a white blur.

The way he moved, it was like gravity barely mattered each stride covered ridiculous distances snow exploding in his wake as he bolted straight toward the distant outline of the castle.

It was almost enough to make me dizzy...but somehow, being in his arms made it feel like everything was going to be alright.

My body finally started to relax the exhaustion creeping up now that the adrenaline was gone. His warmth, his steady heartbeat under my cheek it reminded me faintly of another person...Father.

My throat tightened painfully at the thought but I pushed it down no this wasn't him no one could be him.

Yet even so...this feeling was nice.

As the warmth lulled me closer to sleep I tilted my head up slightly my voice small against the roar of the wind.

"Hey," I mumbled, "what Servant Class are you?" I yawned blinking up at him blearily "And what is your true name?"

The servant smiled "my name is Edmund Ashford, but when in front of our enemies you can call me...Avenger."

Avenger but that's not p-possible I thought as my body finally caved into the demand of sleep.

-end of chapter one-

I could have just had it so that he was normally summoned as Berserker since he took Herakles spot but I decided to switch it up a bit and save his Berserker, Caster, and Saber presets for later in case I want to explore the possibilities of IF Routes or ALTERS.

Anyways if you guys can please donate stones or leave a review because I want this to spread and get some feedback from other readers thank you.
