Chapter 19 - Chapter-19 Setting In!

After completing a full sweep of Cake Island, Argus and Newgate confirmed there were no humans—only wildlife and naturally thriving flora.

From this moment forward, regardless of who once claimed dominion over the Totto Land Sea, the only name it would remember was Edward.

"Gurarara...!"Newgate's booming laughter echoed across the candy-sweet winds."This place... it's perfect!"

He was visibly elated, stomping across Cake Island with the giddy excitement of a child in a toy shop.

"Brother," Argus called, arms crossed, voice steady. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'll begin disembarkation here. You take a team and inspect the other thirty-four islands."

"Got it!"Newgate gave a firm nod and turned, bellowing commands as he gathered his crew and set out for reconnaissance.

Back on Cake Island, the air buzzed with activity. Argus's retinue—maids, medics, carpenters, and engineers—had begun unloading provisions and exploring the strange terrain.

"It's so beautiful!""A whole island made of cake?""I've never seen anything like this!"

It was a chorus of chatter, the women's voices bubbling with awe like a flock of ducks set loose in a sugar wonderland.

Argus approached Serena, whose poise stood out amid the chaos. A rare softness touched his expression."You've done well, Serena."

She offered a graceful bow. "Husband, I've simply fulfilled my duties."

He nodded.Once a delicate princess, she had become a pillar of calm strength—competent, dignified, and unmistakably in command.

"From this day forth," Argus said, voice firm, "whatever Totto Land was before, it now belongs to the Edward Family. All thirty-five islands are ours to reshape."

He paused, one hand rising to his chin in contemplation."This… won't be cheap."

Serena chuckled lightly.

Money?

To the Whitebeard Pirates, wealth was a non-issue. Looting a single prosperous kingdom could earn them billions. And if anyone raised objections?

They would be silenced—permanently.

This wasn't the gentle, aging Whitebeard who gave freely and embraced all. This Whitebeard had shed sentiment. Now, betrayal meant death.

While Argus began organizing Cake Island's development into a central hub, Newgate swept through the rest of Totto Land.

This sea was unlike any in the world.

At its center was Cake Island. Surrounding it wasn't seawater—but juice, milk, tea, and soda. A sea that defied all natural laws.

Encircling this surreal ocean were thirty-four uniquely themed islands:

Candy Island, Wheat Island, Bean Island, Butter Island, Cream Island, Biscuit Island, Wine Island, Tea Island, Ice Cream Island, Pie Island, Milk Island, Ingredients Island, Spice Island, Jam Island, Potato Island, Jelly Island, Whole Cake Island, Tableware Island, Fruit Island, Cheese Island, Nut Island, Bread Island, Protein Island, Egg Yolk Island, Yeast Island, Honey Island, Meat Island, Tofu Island, Mimi Island, Crispy Shell Island, Juice Island, Egg Island, and Cacao Island.

As Argus studied the original chart, he muttered to himself:

"Honestly, this feels less like the New World and more like a page out of Toriko. If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a gourmet paradise."

The Charlotte Family had once transformed these islands into what they became. But in their current, untouched state, they were still bizarre—raw, ingredient-rich, and full of potential.

Argus was impressed.

As the sun dipped below the whipped-cream horizon, one of the scouting ships returned.

Newgate stood on the bow, wind in his hair, a wide grin on his face."Argus!"

Argus rose from the crude camp they'd built and waved."How'd it go?"

"Gurarara...! All clear! Every single one of the thirty-four islands is uninhabited! From now on—this is our home!"

Argus nodded in approval.

Newgate's Observation Haki was nothing short of monstrous. He could scan entire islands with a sweep of willpower. It wasn't foolproof, of course—someone cloaked well enough could slip through. They'd still need to conduct ground inspections later.

But the conclusion was clear:

Totto Land belonged to the Edwards now.
