Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 – The Seeds of the Future

Elliot and Lyra spent the next few days recovering from the battle with the beast. The garden had calmed, but there was an undeniable shift in the atmosphere—a new presence, both comforting and foreboding.

The guardian plant had settled into its place, a towering sentinel at the center of the garden. Its roots intertwined with the Heartroot, creating a bond that was both beautiful and mysterious. The indigo glow that surrounded it seemed to pulse with a steady rhythm, as though it were breathing.

Elliot and Lyra had learned much about the garden's new power, but they still had many questions. What did the guardian plant want? Why had it awoken now? And what other dangers lay hidden in the earth?

They stood at the edge of the garden, watching the sunlight filter through the trees. The peaceful scene before them was a stark contrast to the battle they had just fought. But Elliot knew that they could never be too complacent. The garden was alive, yes—but so was the world outside. And with that life came challenges they couldn't yet understand.

"We need to keep moving forward," Elliot said quietly, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "There's more to this garden, more to this world, than we can see."

Lyra nodded, her hand resting on the Heartroot Tree. "We'll protect it. Together."

And as the two of them stood there, united in their resolve, they knew that the future of the garden—and the world—would depend on the choices they made from this point onward.

The seeds of the future had been planted. It was up to them to nurture them and see what would grow.
