The Ronowa empire.
It was a big and wide kingdom that grew strong because of it's surplus resources. Another important reason for its growth was the many beast tamers who lived within it, high ranking nobles whose influence spread far and wide.
Among all the kingdoms in the mortal realm, the Ronowa Empire had the most awakened ones—people with the potential to become powerful beast tamers.
There were three major divisions of life, the mortal realm, the infernal realm, and new Olympus.
The mortal realm, a dimension where low level-tier beings could only be found, it was considered as one of the weakest realms, as such creatures like the human race, regular flora and fauna such as horses, dogs and other common species of animals were found here.
The wraths from the initial gameplay originated from the Infernal realm. The Infernal realm is a realm where all the fallen angels and gods were banished to for their treacherous offenses.
The environment in the Internal realm was like a parasite that fed on the consciousness of those dwelling within it, those who survived it attained the title of a high ranking general of the gates of Hellus while those who couldn't had their conscience devoured and was transformed into the mindless beast now referred to as "The Paradoxes".
Kai made his way into the Kingdom with his maid Samantha, another thing he figured out after transmigrating was just how cruel the Montclair family was to Maximilian.
No carriages were provided for his journey to the exam hall, it has been this way since his beast awakening months ago.
As they journeyed through the streets of the kingdom, Maximilian noticed a tear dropping from Samantha's eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." She wiped her tears quickly, she couldn't afford to let her overflowing emotions get the better of her.
"It doesn't seem like it, you can tell me, what's troubling you?"
Samantha realized that she couldn't hide it anymore, despite her best efforts.
"Forgive me young master, it's just... I never thought I'd see you smile again after all that's happened these past few months, especially after the public humiliation by your father."
"What do you mean?"
"You don't remember? Your father was present during your awakening ceremony, moments after your awakening, he challenged you and beat you nearly to death, demanding to know just what an E-rank tamer could do in his family."
He remained speechless, he knew asking questions further would look suspicious.
Fragmented memories of his past swam through his mind, and bit by bits he could recall the moments of his beast awakening.
From what he remembered, it wasn't pleasant at all.
"I remember, I also remember that everyone I thought I loved viewed me differently from that day on. Everyone except you, why? Why did you decide to support me knowing it could cost you your job?"
A smile curled up Samantha's lips as her cheeks turned beet red.
"I watched you grow from a little bit to where you are today young master, E-rank or not, those memories we shared is not something that's easily replaceable. Whatever happens, I'll always be with you till the very end."
Her words were heart warming, it felt good to know that in this twisted world, he at least had someone who'd support him through thick and thin.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it. I'll reward your efforts by clearing this entrance exam, speaking of which, do you have an idea how it's like?"
"The format of the entrance exams changes yearly, during the last exam, it consisted of three stages. I wager it might be something similar this year."
"Three stages huh."
Reflecting on his status board he saw earlier, he realized that with his current abilities, walking into the exam halls the way he is right now was suicide.
They made their way towards a weapons shop and was marvelled at the numerous options presented. Among the various options were a silver spear, a pair of diamond encrusted daggers, several star shaped katanas and a crossbow with arrows for good measures.
A particular weapon caught his attention.
"I'll take this!" He said almost immediately.
"Huh?" A voice from behind interrupted him.
It was the son of a man from one of the great noble families of the Ronowa Empire—Count Desmond.
"Hey, I know you, you're that boy that contracted an E-rank beast! Third son of Thaddeus! How dare you assume a weak tamer like you can gain access to one of the greatest works ever designed by Celsius. It is completely unacceptable."
He complained with a sharp and loud voice, visibly irritated.
"Right.." Maximilian said, uninterested in his banter before turning his attention back at the show owner.
"How much for the dagger sir?"
The son of Count Desmond who went by the name Zeke became visible annoyed, he dared to ignore him.
"100 pieces of silver." The shop owner replied.
"A 100 pieces of silver, a bit much don't you think? Whatever I'll take it." Rai responded bringing a bag of silver coins he had on him.
'At least I'm thankful the previous Maximilian saved a lot.'
"I'll buy it for 3 pieces of gold!" Zeke exclaimed, not wanting him to get away with what he just did.
"Sold!" The shop owner said swiftly before wrapping the dagger's and handing it over to Zeke. "What are you going to do now?"
The dagger was the only quality weapon in the shop, quality using the sense that out of every weapon in the shop it was only that dagger that was crafted by the best blacksmith in the kingdom.
"I thought no one could be worse than my brother, now I actually regret being born into a noble family." He sighed.
"Watch your tongue, it's a disgrace for the likes of you, an E-rank tamer, to be born into a noble or royal family!" Zeke became angered by such thoughts.
Maximilian ignored his outburst yet again and faced his attention at the star shaped katana.
"I'll take this, it doesn't matter what weapon I use, it'll still be more than enough for me to pass the entrance exams."
Maximilian said with a voice laced with confidence, and gave the shop owner the appropriate number of silver coins to purchase the katana.
"What?" Zeke mumbled, refusing to believe what he had uttered with his mouth.
"Pass the academy's entrance exams? I see, first you insulted the honor of the great noble families by awakening a commoner's beast and now you trample upon an exam we hold sacred?"
Zeke shouted in anger as a burst of energy flared around his left hand, and a claw made of lightning formed, covering his hand completely.
"Unacceptable!!"
Feeling the beast energy hovering above Zeke's palm, Maximilian's eyes widened in fear, he was completely overwhelmed by Zeke's power.
Zeke charged at Rai, who stumbled back and fell in fear. Without hesitation, Zeke swung his lightning claw at him. "Die!" He shouted.
"Young Master!"
"Stop!" A voice called out from behind. Zeke froze mid-attack and turned his head, trying to see who had spoken.
