The next morning you woke up with a start as Dena shook you urgently. Anna, one of the werewolf rights activists who contacted you back in Haven, had somehow managed to contact Sonoma's base through an encrypted radio system and requested to speak with you and Ahote.
There were a few minutes of panic before you were able to get her to explain that her father was a US senator who was able to get in a private request with General Rivera. They didn't know where you were, but they had a channel for voice communication. Ahote saw this as a positive development, but you weren't quite sure yet.
Anna explained that the pro-werewolf movement was quickly gaining steam after the audio of one of Ahote's speeches had leaked alongside footage of your escape from Haven and the military's attack. She wanted a figurehead for the werewolves to put a face on the issue. She wanted Ahote.
I disapproved of working with these humans. Their kind are no friends to werewolves.
I approved wholeheartedly of Anna's goals and promised to help Ahote craft his campaign plan.
I hesitantly approved, but only under the condition that I could write his talking points. Winning over the humans would take finesse.
I disapproved. I believed Anna was coming from a place of compassion, but it was simply too risky to keep communications open with her.
I approved, and spent time in the following days researching the people Ahote might be talking to.
