While Kakashi was explaining the principle behind the Chidori, Satoru smiled confidently.
Only the Sharingan can eliminate the Chidori's drawback? Bitch, please~
A wielder of the Rokugan (Six Eyes) possesses immense perception and unparalleled visual prowess.
Satoru even doubts that the Rinnegan has better vision than the Rokugan.
His sight is comparable to that of a high-definition infrared camera, allowing him to see even with his eyes covered. He can also easily see hundreds of kilometers away and distinguish different figures within that range with precision.
The Rokugan can perceive the flow of both chakra and cursed energy, granting its bearer the ability to read techniques—whether jutsus or cursed techniques—that an individual is using and instantly determine their function.
Since Satoru possesses chakra in addition to cursed energy, the Six Eyes have naturally adapted to it.
He can now even read any Ninjutsu and understand how it works in real time. He can even copy it, just like the Sharingan!
The Rokugan can also differentiate between various types of cursed energy and chakra, and help the user identify a person based on their energy signature.
Lastly, the Rokugan allows for extremely precise manipulation of both energies at an atomic level. The amount of cursed energy lost when activating a technique is infinitesimal—so low it's practically zero—which prevents him from running out of cursed energy or chakra under normal circumstances.
Oh, and of course, the Rokugan was also the key to the correct functioning of his Limitless Cursed Technique.
Thanks to this Dōjutsu, he had progressed at an astonishing pace for his young age.
Even his Kekkei Genkai, the Wood Release, had advanced by leaps and bounds under the influence of the Rokugan.
Not even Hashirama Senju, his great-great-grandfather, had achieved such mastery of the Wood Release at the age of six.
At present, Satoru was convinced he had already vastly surpassed Yamato, the second user of the Wood Release in Konoha.
"Next, let me show you a demonstration, Satoru," said Kakashi after finishing explaining the basic principle behind the Chidori.
Without wasting time, he prepared to show it in action.
Satoru, for his part, hadn't even paid attention to the explanation.
It was enough for him to see it once to be able to copy it.
And why so much interest in Kakashi's Chidori?
Simple! Because lightning techniques look incredibly badass.
Although he planned to master all elements eventually, he had to start with one. And there was no better motivation than training in something that truly excited him.
He watched closely as Kakashi began to gather large amounts of chakra into his right hand.
The concentration was so intense that the chakra became visible instantly.
Then, that chakra transformed into pure electricity, and the air filled with a screeching sound, like the chirping of hundreds of birds at once.
Kakashi ran in a straight line, his arm extended, and pierced through a massive rock a few meters ahead.
The rock exploded into hundreds of fragments flying in all directions, like shrapnel from an explosion. As the dust began to settle and the smoke slowly dissipated, Satoru could see the result: a clean, deep hole went through the center of the stone block.
For a moment, Satoru's eyes shone with a spark of excitement.
"Hey, Kakashi... why did you create the Chidori?" Satoru's question caught Kakashi off guard.
Satoru genuinely wanted to know the answer.
Truth be told, he had never considered himself a huge Naruto fan in his past life. He had watched the anime, yes, but many years ago, when he was a teenager.
Too much time had passed to remember every detail, though he still remembered the main plot and the most important points.
Kakashi fell silent for a moment, thoughtful. A hint of melancholy reflected in his gaze as he remembered the past... and his teacher.
"Actually, I created it by accident..." Kakashi finally confessed. "My teacher taught me the Rasengan, an A-rank technique he himself invented. I tried to combine it with my lightning affinity but failed. What you just saw was the result: the Chidori."
Satoru opened his eyes slightly, surprised. Kakashi had tried to apply his elemental affinity to the Rasengan?
If he had succeeded... wouldn't he have created something similar to the Vanishing Rasengan that Boruto would use in the future?
The idea fascinated him. Suddenly, he thought it might be worth learning the Rasengan too.
"Could you teach me the Rasengan in the future?" he asked with genuine interest.
"You're trying to bite off more than you can chew. Focus first on mastering the Chidori, and then we'll see."
Satoru nodded seriously. If he could benefit from Kakashi, he was willing to treat him even as a mentor.
"Yes, Master Kakashi!"
Kakashi glanced at him sideways, with a bored expression and an imaginary sweat drop sliding down his temple.
"Yeah, yeah... you little suck-up. Start training the basic principles of nature transformation."
Despite his carefree tone, Kakashi knew exactly what Satoru was doing... and he wasn't buying a single word.
"Understood, Master Kakashi!" Satoru replied with the same energy, not losing a bit of enthusiasm.
When Satoru attempted to transform his chakra through the nature transformation technique, the result was almost immediate.
A small electric spark crackled between his fingers.
Kakashi, who was watching with a distracted expression, opened his eyes in visible surprise.
Satoru, on the other hand, didn't even flinch. He didn't look at his hand in amazement, because for him, this result was obvious.
The Rokugan granted him such precise chakra manipulation that it reached the atomic level.
For someone like him, mastering nature transformation—or even its next stage, shape manipulation—was as basic as breathing.
"How did you...?" Kakashi began to ask, but he stopped halfway through the sentence, understanding the answer as soon as his gaze met Satoru's eyes.
Satoru, for once, decided not to toy with him and was honest.
"One of the functions of the Rokugan is that it allows me to manipulate chakra with absolute precision."
He didn't care if Kakashi reported this to the Hokage.
Nor was he worried if Danzō Shimura took an interest in him and tried to recruit him into his infamous organization, Root.
Because the moment Danzō stood before him, he planned to make him swallow a Cursed Technique Reversal: Red without warning.
The best way to solve a problem... is to root it out at the source.
Get it? Root?
Yeah? No?
Bah, you're no fun.
