Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Prison World – Carcera Exile

The sky bled gray. Roads stretched in infinite, spiraling loops. Towers of broken cars formed mountains on both sides, and lightning crawled along the asphalt like veins.

The new world welcomed them with a gut-wrenching hum, like an engine idling in Hell itself.

[ World Loaded: Carcera Exile – Tier 3, Level 4 ]

> Prison of lost souls and endless motion.

World Law Active: "Motion Equals Life" – Stopping movement for more than 10 seconds results in systemic disintegration.

Bonus Rule: Inmates gain control of obstacles. Survive 7 days to escape.

Lian hit the throttle.

His new Walker—sleeker and far more responsive after the Fate Diver evolution—hummed beneath him like a predator ready to leap.

"Status check," he called.

Demist revved his armored bike. "All green. Weapons loaded. Turrets on standby."

Jayce grinned, already eating an ice cream cone while driving one-handed. "I'm emotionally unstable, physically underqualified, and legally unlicensed. Let's roll!"

Lian stared. "Please tell me you're joking about the license."

Jayce: "Of course I'm joking. What kind of lunatic drives a golden truck through multiversal death roads with no—OH LOOK, FLYING CARS!"

Up ahead, rusted, screaming vehicles launched themselves from cliffs, possessed by inmates. Their twisted faces grinned from cracked windshields.

[ Enemy Alert – Possessed Prisoners: "Scrap Fiends" ]

> HP: 6,000

Movement: Aerial & Ground

Weakness: Sound Disruption

Special: May sacrifice themselves to disable one random system

A convoy of Scrap Fiends descended in an arc.

Lian swerved left, opening fire with his front-mounted energy spikes. "Jayce! Tell me you've got something for these guys!"

Jayce hit a button. Circus music blasted from his truck, vibrating the air with ridiculous intensity.

The Scrap Fiends paused—literally shuddering mid-air—before dropping like broken toys.

"Music Weakness." Jayce said, wiping his hands. "Did my homework. Also, never underestimate the power of a clown remix."

Lian just blinked. "I have… so many questions."

One Hour Later

The group weaved through a zone labeled Sector Grimewall. Here, the road itself fought them. Black tar reached up like claws. Road signs changed language mid-drive. Holes appeared then disappeared behind them.

Jayce narrated casually from his comm:

> "Okay, so here's the deal—this prison world was built to trap road-criminals from other universes. But it got bored. So it started… playing. Rules change randomly, like you're in a racing horror show. Ever seen Mario Kart possessed by a demon? That's this."

Lian nodded. "And let me guess… the real boss is at the center?"

Jayce: "Bingo. Warden Autoscourge. Big guy. Metal. Mad at everything. Especially… me."

Demist: "Why does every apocalypse want to kill you personally?"

Jayce: "I prank gods. Occupational hazard."

---

New Quest Triggered: "Break the Cycle"

> Objective: Reach the prison core without stopping for more than 10 seconds at any time.

Bonus: Defeat Warden Autoscourge for +10,000 coins and permanent Luck boost.

Penalty: Full party deletion on failure.

---

As the road twisted into a death rollercoaster and the sound of chasing Scrap Fiends echoed from behind…

Jayce turned on his comms again. "Hey, question."

Lian: "What?"

Jayce: "You guys like hoverboards?"

Lian: "No."

Jayce: "Too bad. Deploying mine in 3… 2…"

Jayce leapt from his truck, landing on a glowing gold hoverboard, blasting enemies while spinning like a chaotic ballerina.

"Let's goooooo!!"

---

Lian sighed, locked in, and whispered, "This guy's gonna get us all killed."

Demist chuckled. "Or make us legends."

And with that, the team dove deeper into Carcera—where wheels never stop, and death waits behind every brake pedal.
