Location: Abandoned Airstrip – Outside LA
The Charger roared across the tarmac, kicking up dust and fragments of time. Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner were side by side, engines thundering like gods of war. One race. One finish. One decision that would change everything.
But watching from the hill above, arms crossed and jaw clenched, was Adrian Kade.
His mind was already ten steps ahead. He knew what Brian would do—he'd seen it in his eyes days ago. The guilt. The hesitation. The way he looked at Dom not like a target, but like a brother he never asked for.
Mia stood beside Adrian, worry etched on her face. She clutched his hand. "He's going to let Dom go, isn't he?"
Adrian didn't look away from the road. "Yeah."
She exhaled, half-relieved, half-devastated.
The Charger and Supra slammed past the line. Metal shrieked, tires screamed, and then—just like the original story—Dom was gone. Brian stood there alone, radio buzzing in the distance. Sirens still far off. The air hung heavy with the weight of a thousand unspoken words.
Mia's grip on Adrian tightened.
Location: Toretto's Garage – Nightfall
The crew was gone. Vince had bailed. Letty disappeared. Leon was a ghost. The family scattered.
Adrian leaned on the workbench, wiping grease from his fingers, while Mia sat on the hood of his blacked-out custom Mustang GT—an untamed beast built from stolen parts and top-secret tech that only a Devil could conjure.
"You're really not gonna try to stop Dom?" she asked.
Adrian gave her a look. "Would you?"
She didn't answer.
"I'm not here to change the story, Mia. I'm here to protect you from the fallout."
Mia tilted her head. "You keep saying things like that. Like you know how this ends."
"I know how people end," he said softly. "And I know what it looks like when someone is about to break."
She walked over, wrapping her arms around his waist. "So where do we go now?"
Adrian placed his hand on the back of her head. "Away. For now. I'll keep you safe, even if everything else falls apart."
Location: Unknown Desert Motel – One Week Later
Brian had vanished. So had Dom.
The heat was dry, the nights quieter. Adrian and Mia kept to themselves in a rented cabin, the Mustang parked like a watchful beast outside. The room smelled like desert wind and sweat. Mia lay on the bed, scrolling through old photos. Adrian sat on the porch, carving into a piece of wood with a combat knife.
Mia stepped out, holding two beers. "You don't talk much about your past."
"That's because it's not worth remembering."
She handed him a bottle. "But people talk about you. Dom's not stupid. He said the way you move... fight... it's like you've already died once."
Adrian sipped his drink. "A few times, actually."
Mia leaned against the railing. "You were a soldier, right?"
"That's what the file says," he replied with a smirk.
"But that's not all of it."
"No." He turned to her, shadows in his eyes. "I was a ghost before I was ever a man. They called me Lucifer on the battlefield, Ghost in the dark. Alpha in the chain of command. But there's one name I never gave out."
She blinked. "What was it?"
"Devil."
The word sent a chill into the heat.
Mia stepped closer. "And what does the Devil do now?"
Adrian turned to face her, lips close to hers. "He sins for the people he loves."
Location: Miami – A Glimpse into the Future
In a black SUV across town, Monica Fuentes stared out the window as her ride pulled up to a marina. Dressed in sleek jeans and a leather jacket, she handed over a sealed file to a DEA agent.
Inside, a picture.
Black and white.
Grainy, infrared.
A man with silver eyes, a silencer in hand. Body on the ground. No hesitation. Just execution.
Monica's eyes didn't blink.
"Who is this guy?" the agent asked.
Her voice was distant. "They used to call him Ghost. If he's back... you better pray he stays in the shadows."
The agent scoffed. "One man can't bring down a country."
Monica gave him a look. "He doesn't bring down countries. He makes them disappear."
