It was dark and the air was rich with a scent of something rotten. Sarah felt light headed she rubbed her eyes to get them to focus but she couldn't see a thing: the room was too dark.
She got up and stretched her hands to feel the wall or anything else around her. She then felt the wall and began to move along it to at least find a light switch. She felt one and flicked it and what she saw when the room lit up with the dim-flickering bulb almost made her stomach turn inside out.
There were corpses of dead children all over the room. Their skin rot in the room, there was hardly any air. Sarah then looked around for the exit. She looked up and saw a hatch on the ceiling but there was no ladder. How can she get up there?
She then noticed that the corpses were wearing white shirts and white trousers but the rest wore casual clothing. Some even looked like Sarah's age and others looked younger.
She then decided to search some of the corpses for anything useful.
The children wearing white clothing gave Sarah a small flashback but she snapped out of it knowing she has better things to do. She continued to check for anything of use until.
"Please, help me. I don't want to die please..."
A girl about Sarah's age grabbed on to her left leg. Sarah nearly forget how to breathe: the girl crawled on her belly but her right leg was twisted up wards, her finger were stitched, her right arm was wrapped around with a dirty bandage and she wore casual clothing.
She began to cry out with tears running down from her eyes, "I don't want to die, please help me."
Sarah didn't know what to do. Then she heard footsteps coming from the ceiling. Sarah was about to look for a place to hide but the girl was still holding on to her leg.
Sarah tried to her to hide but the girl continued to say,"Please, help me. I don't want to die please." over and over till Sarah noticed that dry blood ran down the girl's ears.
The girl then noticed that Sarah is standing frozen. She saw Sarah raise her right leg and stepped on her face. The girl was in pain, she let go of Sarah's leg and covered her face with her hands. When she removed her hands from her face she saw that the lights were off and Sarah was nowhere to be seen.
The hatch in the ceiling opened up and beam of light shined down the corpses. A ladder was lowered doing and a young woman climbed down. The girl saw the woman as she turned on the light. There the girl saw the face that always gives off a sense of death. The woman walked towards the girl and squatted in front of her.
The woman said some words but the girl couldn't hear her. The woman then placed her left palm on the girls face. The girl saw it as a sign of reconciliation but she knows that, "That is the devil in a woman's body."
The girl felt a small sting on the back of her neck. Not a second passed till she felt weaker than she was and then she fell fast asleep. The woman dragged her to the ladder and left her on the floor. She went up the ladder and came back down with a length of rope. She tied the young girl up and went back up the ladder. Soon the girl was pulled up and when she reached the top, the hatch closed but the flickering light was still on.
Sarah, who was hidden in a pile of corpses, came out and tried to look for a way out. "If me and that girl were still breathing in this place. That means there has to be a window or ventilator." she said to herself.
She saw a small window on the wall and it was obviously too small for her to crawl out of. She then heard the hatch door open slowly, Sarah quickly hid her self among the corpses.
The woman came lowered the ladder and climbed down. Sarah was able to see her walk towards the light switch.
There Sarah saw her golden opportunity. As the woman walked to the light switch, Sarah jumped out of her hiding spot and ran to the ladder. She went up the ladder as fast as she could. The woman noticed her but didn't bother to do anything.
Sarah went up the ladder, pulled it up quickly and closed the hatch. Sarah then found herself in, what appears to be, an operation theatre. She saw the same girl from the basement strapped on a stretcher, she was sound asleep. Sarah tried to wake her up but it was pointless; she never woke up.
Sarah then heard a voice coming from behind her. She looked back and saw a small table with surgical tools and a walkie-talkie. She picked up the walkie-talkie and asked, "Who is this?"
"It's the same person who you have trapped in this basement."
It was the woman. Sarah wasn't scared. She knew that she couldn't get out of that place: The woman has no ladder no way she can get up the hatch and open it.
"For you information little girl" The woman said with a dark tone in her voice, "This isn't my first time getting trapped in this basement. You see that girl with the twisted up leg. She tried the same tactic as you and for that I twisted her so she can't run again."
Sarah heard her laugh from the walkie-talkie. It's a laugh from a complete psycho.
The woman stopped her laughter with a cough and said, "Listen little girl there is no way out of this forest. You can try as much as you can but you still end up dead just like the others before you and soon after you."
Sarah then smashed the walkie-talkie against the floor. She couldn't stand what that woman was saying.
"What's wrong with this place what's going on with everyone? That thought passed through Sarah's mind. Marcus said that this place used to be a safe haven for everyone in Ingola." Sarah began to shade tears. History is repeating itself all over again, "Then why is this happening? I ran away from that horrible place but I'm back to a similar hell hold! The nightmares I have keep coming and coming." Sarah gave herself a weak smile showing that she's in an endless loop of suffering and fears that it won't stop.
Sarah turned to the girl, she was still fast asleep. Sarah looked at the legs of the stretcher and saw they were wheels at the bottom. Sarah unstrapped the young girl and began to push the stretcher hoping to find an exit to this place.
As she was going she found a book lying on a desk. The cover of the book had a tittle saying, "MY FRIENDS."
The book didn't have a lot of pages. Sarah opened it and as she was flipping the pages she noticed that some names on the book were the same names of those people Marcus was talking to at the forest.
"It will be difficult to get out of this place as well as look for Samantha if those psychos are looking for us." Sarah said to herself, "This book may just help me."
Samantha was standing outside a cabin. Its walls looked like they were still in good condition, there was a small poultry that was nearby.
"Well Penelope this is the place. Let's hope what you were saying is true." Samantha took a deep breath and walked to the cabin hoping to fin Veyera's book.
