CHAPTER 37- Hiring of Nisei.
(Some time ago.)
Kei, 15, was sitting on the ground next to a little girl as young as 10 years old.
The girl was dirty, smelled bad and was very thin. She was clearly a street kid. Kei looked at her with great sadness, because he is a boy who can easily empathize with anyone.
Her hair was black, short, and disheveled.
She was quickly eating a hamburger that Kei bought her. She was really starving, that was more than clear.
Kei sighed and took a bite out of his burger.
"Stealing is wrong... Don't you have parents?"- Kei said, with food in his mouth.
The girl tried to steal from Kei, but he reacted in time and stopped her, pulling her arm.
He realized the girl's condition and decided to buy her some food, as he felt very sad to see her so thin and dirty.
"No... My older sister says they died in a fire."
"And do you live on the street? You do not have a house?"
"No, sir."
"Ejem... Wow, wow. I'm not a sir, I'm still young... You shouldn't live on the street... Why don't you go to the police? They could get you a home."
"My sister says they will separate us if they find us."
"No. That used to happen in the past, but currently that doesn't happen. If a family only wants to adopt a girl, they cannot choose only you. They'll adopt you along with your sister... And if you're not lucky, at least you'll have food and a bed... Well, I don't have the right to decide for you, so..."
Kei took out his wallet and took out some bills.
"Here. Buy food for your sister... And be careful. The world is a dangerous place. They will not separate you from your sister, I give you my word."
The girl stopped eating when she heard those words and looked Kei straight in the eyes, while her own eyes became teary, for Kei was the first person to treat her so well in a long time and did not complain about her smell or appearance, as many people did, making fun of her.
"A-are you sure? I-it's a lot of money."
"I was thinking of buying a book, but don't worry. Take the money, please. Take it, you need it more than me."- Kei said smiling.
—... "T-thank you very much..."
Although she hesitated a bit, she decided to accept the money, as her sister was also hungry and wanted to buy food for her.
The girl took the money and Kei got up from the ground.
"I must go, it's getting late... Cuídate, niña. Take care, girl. And be careful, don't trust strangers who offer you candy and shout whenever you feel in danger. Ah, and never enter the homes of strangers you've just met, it can be dangerous."
"Please wait... Can I know your name?"
"Oh, sure, but don't laugh. My name is male and female! My name is Kei."
"Kei... It's a cute name. My name is Luna."
"Moon in Spanish, huh? Luna... Wow, wow. It's a nice name, it's classy... Well, it was nice talking to you. Take care. Adiós, señorita. Goodbye."
"Thanks, Kei!"- Luna said with a big smile on her face.
Kei walked away and Luna looked at the money Kei gave her, while imagining all the food she could buy.
"So kind... Someday I'll return the favor."- She said, looking at Kei's back.

As Kei pondered what happened to the demon, a certain girl would soon appear in his life.
A girl was watching the blue sky, smiling and trying to forget what she has to do.
"It's a cute day."
Charlotte, the hero, approached her from behind.
"Hey, Luna, we have to go."
"I already told you, I'm not going. I don't want to go."
"It's a mission, you can't refuse it... I want to reject it too, but we can't."
"But... I don't want to kill that boy... He reminds me of someone."
"Don't worry, Near will. We just must support her a little bit."
—... "Yes... I know..."
Her eyes turned green and she looked down.
"Let's go."
Luna, "the hero of the bow".

In Godfer, the supreme God was watching Luna as he drank a soda and enjoyed the approaching spectacle.
"Okay... Preparations are ready... This is too cliché, even for Kei... But he doesn't remember her, so it's okay. Clichés are boring if not used well. But this time, I used it correctly... I think."

(Pov- Kei.)
I'm scared. Very scared. I'm becoming something completely different than Kei Edna. For a long time I have tried to maintain my humanity and remain Kei Edna, but today it was proven that my Molfer blood is what dominates my being the most.
I fought in a hand-to-hand battle with that demon, completely ignoring that I was at a disadvantage, because I was using a transformation and that makes me weaker.
I didn't fight with strategy, I fought simply with violence and brutality. I fought like a real Molfer would, not afraid to die and enjoying the pain.
I'm... I'm changing.
I'm leaving Kei Edna behind and I'm becoming Kei Molfer entirely, and I'm afraid that will happen.
I don't want to be a Molfer completely, but if my life continues the way it is going, I will have no choice but to accept the cruel reality.
And speaking of reality... Drin and that demon... Drin completely despised that demon, even though she did everything she did, simply to get her friend back.
That demon probably lived her whole life in sadness and loneliness, and Drin was one of her reasons for staying alive. I'll never forget that look on her face when she heard Drin despise her.
... I don't really know what to do now. Putting the emotional issues aside, I think I should focus on training and resolving the issue with the guild.
The fight with the demon proved to me that I am still just as powerful as the weakest demon in hell.
I was tied with her in the hand-to-hand fight. If I meet a more powerful demon, I will definitely die.
Training and the problem with the guild... Ah... Well... The problem with the guild is simple to solve, I can simply change guild and already, issue solved.
But I won't leave without first teaching them a lesson in humility.
Discrimination is wrong, and it's time for them to learn that their actions have consequences.
I know that my promotion could affect the enthusiasm of adventurers and that could lower their performance, but I don't care. They're delaying my plans, and I won't let that keep happening.
I won't let them take advantage of me any longer.
I'll get what I deserve.
"Drin, let's go back, I have to talk to Eris."
"Why? Is something wrong, darling?"
"I think we need another house."
"Another house?"
•
•
"Uwaaaah! Please let me go with you! I don't want to be separated from you, darling!"
"No. I have some issues to resolve here. You will go to the Crimson city with Eris. I'll go to the capital."
Drin was hugging Kei tightly from behind, while she kept crying, as Kei asked her to be away from him for a few days, while he solves his problems with the guild.
He decided that it was necessary to have a house in the Crimson city, as they would spend their free time in that city, carrying out missions for the guild that is located in that city.
"Eris, I'll give you 1,000 gold coins... I think it costs 50 gold coins to rent a house a month."
"So much?!"
"It is located in the rich area of the city, that is, living there will give us status and that will make us more popular. With the rest of the money you will buy furniture. Drin, I want you to investigate the guild. I want to meet the most powerful adventurers and their personalities, to know how to deal with them if I get to know them."
"Yes... I will miss you, darling!"
"It'll only be two days, don't cry... And don't draw attention... Eris, if Drin does anything wrong, you tell me."
"Yes, nya!"
"I-I won't do anything wrong!"
"Drin, you were preparing to go kill Nisei."
"W-well..."
Drin averted her eyes in sorrow and Kei sighed.
Drin has a bad habit of whispering her plans when she gets angry and Kei listened to her, so he knows what she had planned to do to Nisei. Kei stopped her, as he realized the danger she represented, besides Nisei never fought seriously with Kei, and without fighting seriously, she did great damage to Kei.
"Drin, that adventurer can defeat you."
"Huh? Are you sure?"
"Don't judge people by their looks or their race. Your demonic blood thinks she's just an insect, but she's very powerful... After all, she's an A-class adventurer. It's advice... Never let your guard down. Even if the enemies look weak, you should not lower your guard. Understood?"
"Y-yes. I understand, darling."
"Well, I'm leaving... Bye bye."
"But, darling, what will you do now?"
"I'll solve the problem."
•

Kei entered his house and a maid approached him immediately to welcome him.
"Welcome, master."
"Treka, call Mia, we'll go to the Capital."
"Huh? Won't you escape and go off on your own as usual?"
Kei always travels to the Capital unaccompanied, mainly because he hates to behave like a nobleman. Kei doesn't behave that way because he's afraid the social power he has will change him and make him disgusting.
"I would, but I need a little help."- He said smiling.
•

After preparing his plan, Kei traveled to the Capital by carriage, in company with his trusted maids. He doesn't like to use it, but this time it was necessary.
The carriage stopped, they reached their destination. The guild of adventurers.
"Master, we have arrived at the guild."
"Did you remember what I told you?"
"Yes."
"We remember, master."
"Perfect."
Kei got down from the carriage and the people around him watched him curiously, but when they realized Kei's identity, they began to kneel down and murmur.
It's not uncommon to see Kei Molfer walking the streets of the Capital, but this time, Kei was acting like a nobleman. Out of pure instinct and fear, the commoners knelt.
"He's Sei Molfer's son, right?"
"It's Kei Molfer."
Kei caught too much attention and was about to turn red with shame, but he took a breath and calmed down, for he must act with authority and show no sign of weakness.
"That's why I never ride in a carriage. When I walk around the capital, I don't get much attention. Ah, whatever, let's go in."
He entered the guild along with the maids.
The adventurers observed him too much and began to murmur, but not about him, but about the maids. Famous class A adventurers.
"Are these the adventurers Treka and Mia?"
"The A-class adventurers?"
"Then he is the son of Sei Molfer."
"Why is he here?"
Kei turned to see the adventurer who said the latter.
"What? Do you mind if I'm here?"
"N-no, absolutely not!"
"I assumed."- He said smiling.
The maids used to be very active A-class adventurers, that's why Kei brought them with him, to draw the attention of the adventurers and the guild.
They still have that class, but they don't perform missions as often because of their work with the Molfer family.
Kei approached Kisma.
"C-can I help you?"
"Yes, I want to hire the services of an adventurer."
"Sure, no problem. I need some information. What is the problem?"
"I need the adventurer for training."
"Training?"
"Yes. I've already defeated my maids, so I'd like to hire another adventurer... Wait… What was his name?"
"The adventurer's name is Crisfa, master."- Mia said.
"Yes, it's true. Thank you, Mia. I want to hire the services of the adventurer named Crisfa."
A bag of money appeared in Kei's hand when he put it in his pocket and showed it to the employee.
"I will offer him 2,000 gold coins."
"2,000?!"
"Is it too little?"
"It's too much."
"Well... He is a powerful man. That is very rare. I thought his services were expensive."
"But... I am sorry... He resigned."
"Huh? Resigned? Did he retire from being an adventurer? My maids told me he was young."
"No... There were some problems..."
"Problems?"
Kei watched the adventurers around him for a few seconds, while keeping the money in his pocket.
"I see... I bet he didn't move up in class because he was a man. If he moved up a class, the novice adventurers would feel bad and they would resign... He was frustrated by that and resigned... Am I wrong?"
"I-I can't deny it."
"The guild has fallen low."- Treka said.
"Destroy the dreams of a promising adventurer only because he is more powerful than most adventurers. Sei Molfer will hear about it."- Mia said.
"Ah, you leave me no choice. I will look for him on my own... Oh… Wow, wow."
Kei realized that Nisei was drinking and eating alone. She ate the food without any education, and Kei liked that, because it reflects how wild the adventurers are.
He took that opportunity and approached her.
"Hello, hello, hello! You're Nisei, aren't you?"
"Huh? Yes. Why?"
"It is a pleasure to meet you. I've heard so much about you. I'd like to talk business."
He put the bag of money on her table.
"I have a mission for you."
Realizing the large amount of money, Nisei smiled and crossed her arms.
No adventurer could waste this opportunity.
"I am interested."
"Perfect. This is an investigation. I want you to go to "Turger" and investigate the city called "Heavenly"."
"What do you want to find?"
"I just want to find out if something bad happens in the city."
He leaned close to her ear and whispered.
"Listen, it's a very dangerous mission, but I trust your abilities. I just want you to investigate. If you find something wrong, come back immediately, don't try to fix it... And if you discover a demon, escape immediately."
"A demon?"
Nisei said it in a low voice. She knows not to say it strongly, as it is a dangerous subject that should be treated in secret.
"Do you accept the mission?"
"Yes, of course. It sounds interesting."
Nisei is excited about the idea of seeing a demon. She's the kind of girl who feels satisfaction when she fights.
Besides, it's an opportunity to earn a lot of money, she doesn't want to waste it.
"Thank you... I know you'll need time to prepare, so I want to ask you a favor."
"Sure."
"If you see Crisfa, tell him to join you on this mission."
"C-Crisfa?!"
Nisei blushed a little when she heard Crisfa's name, because when she heard the name, she remembered the words Crisfa said to her and that made her too nervous.
"W-why? I can investigate alone."
"It's a personal request. My maids told me he was powerful... If he helps you, I want you to give him half the money. Don't worry, when you get back I'll give you more money."
—... "Tsk. Yes, it's fine. You are the boss, after all."
"Thank you very much... And be careful."
Kei and the maids left the guild. When they left, she took the bag and checked the contents.
"Great... I'm paying today!!"
"Looks like Nisei is in a good mood!"
"I hope you don't regret it!"
The adventurers celebrated by raising their drinks and Nisei smiled proudly.
"A mission with Crisfa, huh? He is powerful and handsome. That wouldn't be so bad."
"I'm sorry... You are so beautiful that I dare not hit you."
Nisei remembered Crisfa's words and turned completely red.
"Don't! I don't like that idiot!"
She hit the table and destroyed it without any difficulty.
Seeing that, all the adventurers thought the same thing.
"She is in love with him."- All the adventurers thought.
"Sei Molfer's son came looking for him. I knew that guy was powerful, but this exceeds my expectations. The members of the generation of false heroes are full of monsters."
"Despite being a man, he accomplished more than 20 missions in a single day."
"Besides, he's very handsome."
"I wanted to ask him to go out with me."
"Ah, I tried to ask him out with me, but his companion broke my arm and forbade me to go near him. That girl is crazy."
"I hate to admit it, but Crisfa is amazing."
Kisma, hearing that, turned pale, as the adventurers had a good impression of Crisfa, realizing that allowing his resignation was one of the worst mistakes in the guild's administration.
"I will be fired."
